I'm still trying to do rounds once a week, but for the foreseeable future the actual day is going to vary because of reasons.  Contests will still be on the weekends on my YouTube Channel.

  • Rounds are on Wednesdays
    • Everyone gets one, if I can.
    • If I've done a request for you then please wait two weeks before requesting another.
    • If I'm backlogged then I may not get to yours for a few rounds.
    • If you have a list then I'm only going to go through the top 3, so please try to narrow it down.
  • No "extended" music links, please, just the original one time through is much easier to work with.

  • "Can you do anything from ______?"  You're going to have to narrow it down to specific songs for me.  I don't have omniscient knowledge of all music, yet.

A: You don't, not until Octavia returns with the Prime Vault.  In the meantime, substitute these:

  • Bombast Percussion -> Gamma Percussion
  • Bombast Bass -> Beta Bass
  • Bombast Melody -> Epsilon for slow melodies, gamma for fast ones

Snare is usually the easiest to hear and figure out.  I usually start with that.  Hi-hat is also relatively easy to hear, but it tends to have a lot of dynamic range.  I find myself just picking out the loudest hi-hat and cymbal hits and leaving the rest out.  Bass drum is usually the hardest to pick out; in a lot of music it tends to get confused with the bass line.  Sometimes listening to it on crappy speakers will help muffle either the bass line or the bass drum and bring out the other one.

Honestly, the vast majority of percussion parts I hear follow a handful of common patterns.  The one I did for 'Senkin Dur da Blá' combines a couple of these patterns with a break on the fourth measure.

Yeah I saw it.  I don't feel right entering, since I use a MIDI keyboard instead of the normal controls.

Damn :(, I can see why tho lol. Also yeah fair enough, you've been able to cover some really cool songs with that setup though. 

Also for Monday I had another song in mind in case you couldn't cover Witch Doctor.

Okay! I'm a... Still relatively new player, started on Switch and I checked through the videogame music playlist, and had a few in mind, even after I checked the "Frequently asked that I cannot do" portion. First, Engage the Enemy from Xenoblade Chronicles 1 or Counterattack from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, as they are very much alike in the tone of the piece. And Second, anything from Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. Preferably the starting song, Morning Sky, or the boss theme, Monster's Round Dance. I know, everyone gets one, so if you think a piece is possible, while I'm nowhere near as trained in music, I may try my hand at mimicing if you think if a piece is possible.
