How does Energy Conversion work with Volt's Speed?

I decided to go full meme with my volt and use Growing Power, Energy conversion, Arcane Storm Helmet and all the typical Strength mods in conjunction to get some insane swing speeds when I'm using his 2 (lovingly called "Crackhead Volt")

Does the buff from Energy conversion stay if I cast speed with the buff and then recast before picking up any more energy orbs before the timer runs out?

Does recasting just reset the timer or does everything get reset?

With growing power, you can recast it as many times as you want as long as the timer for the growing power buff is still up. However, for energy conversion, you have to pick up an energy orb before every cast to get the fastest buff.

It should have the value of what ever buffs you had when you cast it. Casting again without the buffs would reset it without the buffs.
