Asteroid Belt and Kuiper Belt Archwing-only zones

This post is detailing two new celestial objects for the map that are archwing only (as they are based on real world stellar debris fields) and tuned to help players get the missing mods for the archwing, and also have a better collection of zones to help players level archwing gear.  These celestial objects would be the Asteroid Belt and Kuiper Belt, and would sit between Mars and Ceres and between Neptune and Pluto in the current star chart.

Like other celestial objects, they would have a solar rail that allows a player to move on to the next zone, and like existing solar rails, would force a player to complete the zone prior to moving forward.  All the vets that have already unlocked Ceres and/or Pluto would be unaffected by this change but it would force newer players to engage in archwing content to pass through these two areas.

The level range would be:

  • Asteroid Belt: 10-20/Grinner with Dark Sector missions
  • Kuiper Belt: 25-40/Corpus with Dark Sector missions

The Asteroid Belt and Kuiper Belt would have the following missions:

Also, there would need to be several changes to end of mission rewards for the various archwing missions so that the players have a sane chance of actually getting geared up enough to take down a boss (as half the problem with the current Archwing mod is the difficulty involved with getting enough mods to be good without running the same five missions over and over again).  All existing sources of mods will be kept.  Here is additional changes that will allow an alternative path to get every archwing mod currently in the game, starting with the end of mission rewards:

    • Enhanced Durability
    • Superior Defenses
  • Rotation C
    • Efficient Transferral
    • Hyperion Thrusters
    • Morphic Transformer
    • System Reroute

Pursuit Rewards:

  • Rotation A
    • Bleeding Edge
    • Cutting Edge
    • Extend
    • Furor
    • Sudden Impact
    • Tempered Blade
  • Rotation B
    • Blazing Steel
    • Galvanized Blade
    • Glacial Edge
    • Poisonous Sting

    • Rubedo-Lined Barrel
    • Shell Rush
  • Rotation B

    • Venomous Clip
  • Rotation C

    • Comet Blast
    • Dual Rounds
    • Hollowed Bullets

And last but not least, here's the remaining archwing mods, the barter ones:

  • Electricity/Status Mods

Simaris (Unchanged)

  • Astral Autopsy

On the one hand, interesting idea and I kinda like it.

On the other hand, the Orokin most likely either mined out or converted all the asteroids ages ago. Ceres is probably actually a conglomerate of asteroids attached together, as the original asteroid was way too small for what it seems to be now. Same with Sedna.

Or alternatively, we can handwave that there are far more asteroids and other objects in both the Asteroid and Kuiper Belts than there really are (it's estimated that there's less than the total mass of the Moon in the Asteroid belt, and probably even less than that in the Kuiper Belt), and it all just works because of rule of cool [ http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RuleOfCool ].

Personally, I'd rather bend the science here, and go with the "they still exist" approach.

Well, maybe the Orokin have been bringing in objects from the Oort Cloud or maybe even from the Void. Who knows. XD

Or we could have a third Archwing zone in the Oort Cloud that's got the Corrupted Orokin and/or infested?

Or maybe we're fighting the sentients =O
