"I got a fairly good look at it when it went by me and when you stopped it at the door."

He nodded.  "Yes.  But have you seen how it hunts?  What it eats?  If it eats?  And these are serious questions, because I haven't."  He leaned back into his chair, resuming his relaxed look.

A dark shadow fell across the room, and the corpse of the man was suddenly picked up by the shadow's source.  Its features were hard to discern, the only thing that stood out was that it was darker than the rest of the room.  It began to tear the body apart, eating each piece as it did so.  it leaped onto the ceiling, and armblade sliding out to support its weight.  It hung there, blood and chunks of flesh falling from its meal.

Cyrus had never seen an infested like it. Then again, he'd never seen that much infested up close and personal. "What in the Void is that....?"

Trying to take advantage of the beast's ravenous ecstasy, Cyrus began to back out from under the gurney, crawling like a crab backwards towards the door. He almost reached the other side when a small medical tray on the ground lying in his path got stepped on. It flew upwards and landed back down with a resounding clang. Cyrus froze solid as if frozen by a Frost's avalanche.

Lucy shook her head.  "I only saw it that once."

The man spoke in a dry voice, "You are not him."  And turned to face the front of the room, still tapping.  A soft thud comes from the room behind, then the sound of a sword being drawn.  The lights flicker, and smoke billows from the vents, obscuring vision.

"Sorry to disappoint." Drei called. As the smoke began to fill the room, he almost outwardly groaned. A magic show now? He wasn't looking forward to seeing a rabbit being pulled out of a hat or if he stayed any longer- perhaps his heart pulled out of his chest, but he wanted to know what was next. Drei stood his ground, anticipating whatever would emerge from the smoke with a trembling leg that betrayed his uneasiness.

A soft, wet thud as the body was dropped, and a low, gurgling growl.  A sliding of metal as the other armblade was unsheathed, and the shadow began to crawl along the ceiling.  It emitted a sound that could have been chuckling, and it flipped down from the ceiling, standing hunched, vaguely humanoid.  A soft flash of blood stained teeth; it was smiling.  It began to walk towards him slowly, patiently, as if wanting a chase.  Or wanting to taste fear.

Cyrus' eyes darted around the room. He slowly rose up to stand, continuing to walk backwards while keeping his eye on the advancing creature. His hands found its way around the handle of his Supra. His finger curled around the trigger. He didn't pull it though.

"Alright, that's enough," he spoke at the the creature, half wondering if his speech could be heard by it, "stop moving or I'll melt you into into a puddle of technocyte goo!"

Cyrus was almost at the door. If he could just get outside the room maybe he could book it.....?

"Hmm.  Then we're still at a disadvantage.  A monster we cannot see or kill."  He shifted his mask and drained the last bit of his coffee before standing.  "Well, suppose we should do something about the power."

"That would certainly help, especially if there are other survivors."

A soft, heavy thud of footsteps comes from it, and a harsh red glow can be seen from the smoke.  The outline of an excalibur Dex frame is visible, as well as a nikana at its side.  It emits a low hum, almost as a warning, and continues forwards, the nikana sliding from its sheath.

It thrust its arms out to the sides, and long spikes slid from its wrists, much like an ash frame.  It let out an ear splitting screech, and hunch lower, as if it was about to pounce.  A faint facial expression flickers, and it conveys only one thing: bloodlust.

"Thankfully the generator is on the mid decks.  A short walk from here.  Then again, it's also a short walk for the creature."  He stands up, and walks over to a cabinet.  "You'll need something to open the hatch for the access wires, or whatever you call them."  He pulls out a fang, and hands it to her.  "whenever you're ready, head out the door and take a left.  Oh, and be sneaky."

"Not again. Yeah alright, I get it. I'll come back later." Drei called out to the figure as he began stepping backwards out of the room as slowly as he could manage without betraying any hint of panic. No way he was going to try to talk with someone who had a blade six times longer than the one he was holding. Before he would attempt to try the next door however, he'd have to make sure that mister samurai wasn't going to pursue him out. Between him and mister pianist - slitting his own throat really didn't seem like such a bad idea.

"Aw HELL NO." Cyrus grabbed the nearest thing to himself- in this case, a small bedside table on wheels, and flung it across the room at the creature, simultaneously turning and sprinting out of the room. He knew that didn't hurt it, but hopefully distracted him.

Cyrus' mind cleared as he ran down the hallway, the screech of the monster reverberating through the halls behind him. His room! His quarters. As cramped as they were, they had his equipment. Judging by the scenario he would need it. A portion of his mind was still foggy, blocking out where his room exactly was. But he remembered what was waiting in it for him. He needed to find a way there. But first, he had to lose this freak on his trail.

As he sprinted, he spotted the crawler that was just finishing up its meal. "GET OUTTA THE WAY!" Fueled by adrenaline, Cyrus raced towards the bloated, severed torso, stomping on it with full force as he continued to run away from whatever mess of a creature was in the medbay.

The frame swings the nikana through the doorway, slicing through the frame.  It continued its slow pursuit, clearly patient.  Or cocky.  The next few rooms have only the groups of those starved people, who just look, and chant in unison "The bringer of death has come.  May he reap our pitiful souls."

The creature stepped onto the cart and leaped, sending the cart flying, but gaining barely any ground on him.  It leaped onto the ceiling, stabbing the lights as it crawled towards him. The crawler exploded with a nauseating pop and a rancid smell, and the creature stopped above it, obviously disturbed.  It shook its head and ruptured the ceiling, crawling into the vents.  The yellow-green mist floated upwards behind it, into the vents.  The rooms down the hallway were mostly blocked off, some still smoking from recent explosions.  An arm barely moved in one of them, dragging along what remained of a person; all it could do was let out a raspy breath, and struggle forwards.

"Boot up the monitors, see if any cameras are still running.  Maybe try to find the beastie, and let the vents' auto cleaning blast him a bit."  He walked over to a desk, and shoved aside some books, revealing a monitor.  "And sharpen my blade. Doors open."

Drei cursed softly, considering his options as he looked frantically from left to right. In his growing panic however, some survival and combat instincts remained. From the Warframe's stroke, he could now more accurately gauge the reach of his strikes, give or take a foot based on his footing. Not that he had any intention of fighting back, but from previous experiences not very long ago, he was feeling a lot more confident in his evasive ability.

An underlying sense hinted that there was safety in numbers. He staggered backwards into the nearest room, keeping some distance from the occupants as though afraid that they might grab him or something.

The occupants rose, and walked towards the frame, still chanting.  It rose the blade, and swung at the closet person, letting the head fall backwards.  Barely any blood flows from the wound, as if they are all dried.  The crowd continues forwards, eager for death.  The frame continues to cut through them, one at a time.  None of them scream, and the heads still mouth the chant with what little life they have left.

"Yes.  That would do nicely.  Safety in number, right?"  His eye crinkles as he smiled behind his mask.  the door to the room clicked as it unlocked, and slid open.  The lights in the hallway were out, save for the red emergency lighting.  "Take a left, then a right, then a left.  Middle switch."

It was charred beyond recognition, and the fact that this person was still alive was impossible.  The lips moved in one discernible word, "run."  A keycard was stuck in its flesh.

"Good advice," Cyrus said, ripping the keycard out before getting up and sprinting down the hallway, continuing to glance upwards and check for any sign of whatever infested demon that thing from earlier was.

He huffed and puffed as he ran, his limbs starting to ache a bit. "I... really need to get... to... room..." he wheezed to himself, "...limbs not used... to this much strain without assistance." He paused to catch his breath, leaning against the wall, and took in his surroundings. The Supra in his arms, while likely a large contributor to his tiredness, also provided a familiar, comforting glow.

With the lemmings on their march keeping the Warframe occupied, Drei frantically glanced around the room for any other exits that would allow him to avoid his pursuer. This trippy place couldn't be real, it definitely wasn't anywhere on the ship's layout map. But here he was, and with increasing desperation he knew he had to get out. There was only so long that he could run for.
