Hacking Death?

Just finished this mission. I was hacking a Bursa just a hexagon away when suddenly I DIED! What happened?

Unless he was on a high level mission, it does not make sense his health and shields were full. Can you die if the Bursa exploded while hacking?

Was this in a sortie or kuva flood or something?

Consoles sometimes zap you as punishment for being crappy at hacking (e.g. mistiming Grineer locks in Sortie missions). The Bursa zapped you because you were too slow in completing the hack, but the damage was somehow enough to oneshot you. (I'm not sure if it scales with the bursa's level, but if you were facing a level 80+ Bursa or something, that might've been it.)

Except the timer on the hack still had 11+ seconds left.

Bursas die on their own, independent of any hacking timer. If the bursa dies while you're hacking, you get zapped.

Hmm, that may be the case.  It does look like an electric shock was applied to the OP.
