Could I trade Platinum for a Tenno-gen item?

I wanted to inquire as to if it would be okay if I tried to get someone to gift me a Tenno-gen item and then trade a high amount of platinum, more than which actual platinum goes for, as compensation. I'm not exactly sure if such a thing is prohibited considering the circumstance.

I'm aware that I can't make any exchange for any legal funds outside of the game, but not this particular area. I'm not exchanging anything for money. However, you're probably right. I wish that I could though...

pm a dev and ask one of them. when i had a question about the ToS, that's what i did..and got a reply pretty quickly if i remember right. seems like it was the next day, (but i could be wrong, and that was back in the closed beta days when the game population was much smaller.)

If Steams has Sales, a 25% of would be nice. That is quite generous? As long any Items does not go over 50 buck, and that would need like at least 50% discount/sale.

I mean, if it's a recent Tennogen, most likely if you were a Console user you could do just that.
