Harestation Posted August 5, 2017 Share Posted August 5, 2017 (edited) I had Warframe opened while trying to play Path fo Exile (without much luck past the first hour). It was taking quite a lot of my CPU (41 to 50%). I just did some tests and for some weirds reasons, if i simply alt+tab instead of minimizing the game, it takes on average 25% less CPU usage. From 41 to 50% when minimized, it's around 18 to 25% CPU usage alt-tabbed. Conf : Core 2 Quad Q9400 (@2.67Ghz), ATi 7870 2 Go, 8 Go RAM, win7 x64. I play in windowed maximized and low settings (didn't change much with previous average/high settings btw, in coop my fps drop to 20-30). MillbrookWest Posted August 5, 2017 Share Posted August 5, 2017 Nothing getting drawn to frame, no draw calls, graphics driver not doing anything etc. etc. Game only really needs to run game logic when the application is minimised.
