Gruia
Currently the AI is constant, he doesn't care where its hit, how much life it has .. nothing. There needs to be different behaviors for specific units . Maybe its too soon to implement so 2 points 1) different AI behavior 2) being able to cripple AI, shoot legs off, arms > leading to 1)
gell
At the least, the enemies need to seem like they have some form of self-preservation. It doesn't mean they need to always react (you don't always react to every little shot you take), but they should do more than what they do now, which is absolutely nothing. When Grineer roll out of the way, it seems based on another parameter (maybe just based on you aiming at them). If I shoot a guy repeatedly in the foot, he should probably change positions or get concerned. Although I like the idea, I don't think we need to be able to cripple the enemies, shoot off arms, etc, because that can open a can of worms in regards to design and animation issues. It's a fun mechanic in some games, though. Edited July 22, 2013 by gell

It does make the game more believable but I would be fine with just a NPC with 1/4 life left to just flees to get life/shields up before fighting again. ScorpDK
If you want to see a self-preserving AI, try to solo Hyena these days and stay near one of the large crates... and then start raging at how the POS robot doesn't dare show its face. But indeed, maybe a few more AI states that make Grineer more likely to dodge or back off, sliding into cover (light Grineer only) and trying to flank you without requiring cheaty spawning-inside-room-you-just-cleared mobs. Considering the Grineer are now able to climb up places, or rappel down, DE should consider exploiting this by having Snipers and other types of enemies try to get a higher ground, set up traps (eg: laser tripmines) and other types of strategies that they adopt based on the criteria of the situation. Also, Snipers might do well with Cryo-Grenades, slowing Tenno down... Crippling and non-fatal dismemberment could potentially be very fun. Grineer Lancer loses arm, switches to pistol, firing from whichever hand he still has. Loses that arm as well, goes into suicide rush, somehow arming his grenades as he comes charging towards you. Losing a leg, they fall over and fire from the ground at you. Similar to how Tenno can still fire while downed.
IfritKajiTora
better AI, better tactics against WarframesWhen grreniers know that they are under attack they should do random attack possitions.Examples opened doors:-Greeniers are hidden behind they walls, two greeniers look for us, and they give a signal to attack. 1/2 greeniers throw a smoke granades and then they all fire to us.-We go forward, and then the Flashbang is throwed, 2-3 seconds the flashbang explode and all greeniers starting to fire.-4 greeniers with the shields on the way behind them 4 more greeniers with guns-traps like, the barely visible line, when we will go through the line, the bombs will be detoned behind the walls to neutralize our shields.-2 snipers with bigger distance wiev will appear when we will be in the middle distance (20-30 metres) Edited July 22, 2013 by IfritKajiTora
