streepe
Note: I used '?' to indicate values that does not affect the concept but rather affect the balancing. raise dead ------------------- up to ? neaby dead enemies are brought back to "life" and serve on your side. If there's no dead enemy nearby summon a thrall. Last for ? secs or until cast again. Ranks increase duration, range and how many are raised. A thrall is a small imp-like version of the frame. It has poor stats overall. visual: You emit a nova. When it comes in contact with neaby corpses souls grab it and put it back on its feet. soul dominion ------------------- Result vary with target. On ally transfert some of your health to him. Can't put you lower than 1 HP or transfer hitpoints you don't have. On enemy, deal damage and you recover as much that was dealt to health. On raised dead or thrall change it into an abomination. The abomination last undefitely or until you create another abomination. It has a lot of hit points but dealt low damage and has low-average speed. Casting raise dead doesn't end abomination. Ranks increase health transfered, damage dealt and abomination Hit points. visual: a skeletal ghost is expelled from your body. If it hit an enemy it then come back to you holding his lifeforce in his hands. decay ------------------- Create a sickening fog around the position you cast it which lower armor, damage and deal damage over time to enemy hit by the fog. The fog stay there for ? secs. Ranks increase fog duration, effect duration and effect strength (armor/damage reduction and DoT) visual: you exude a dense fog which slowly fade in the ground. phantom army ------------------- In a long cone in front of you deal damage to enemies equal to ? multiplied by the number of enemies that died in the mission so far. Deal less damage to enemies far from you. Reset kill count when used. Ranks increase damage multiplier. visual: an army of ghostly enemies appear in front of you and attack. Archistopheles
I don't mean to burst your bubble, but we got Nova instead of a Necro frame. It may be a long time before we see a Necro frame (if ever)
Venarge
The frame itself doesnt sound bad but this "When it comes in contact with neaby corpses souls grab itand put it back on its feet." "an army of ghostly enemies appear in front of you and attack." sounds too much like the fantasy necro you would expect in WoW. Needs more nanites that crawl inside a dead body and control him. We arent magicians. We are high tech warriors. The theme should fit with the overall game theme. but well. thats just my op

Shion963
"souls" Eh. Magical Necroframe stereotype was one of the reasons that DC chose Antimatter over Necro :/ Mechanical augmentations, and nanite-infested biomass. Necromacy might refer to the ability to control/hack into these bits of tech instead of the classic "I raise thee soul from beyond the grave" necromancy. That's what I kept telling people in Design Council. To no avail :P https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/62900-antimatter-really/page-6#entry693437 EDIT: We arent magicians. We are high tech warriors. The theme should fit with the overall game theme. but well. thats just my op Basically this. DarthRevan84
Sadly if it does it will be out of place. Necromancers are a thing of fantasy not sci-fi. Now if they made it a mechromancer one who used nano tech to revive the dead...i could kinda see it...but still feels really outta place.
NinjaSylvy
Why not make the frame use the Technocyte plague to mesh and mangle her opponents to create these "infested" looking thralls? Would make more sense, than plain raise dead ^^
streepe
I understand that the theme seems more fantasy than scifi but that's mainly because of the "visual" theme which personally I see more as a "way to scare" the enemy. There are ways to explain it by "science". - A commonly used explanation (in movies and video games) would be a virus swarm which can be controlled by necroframe. - Nanites (visual can be adapted to this. Souls are more of a theme, they're not mandatory) - Psychic powers (this one could also explain the "scary" projections) Personally I think that "stopping time by hitting really hard" is a lot harder to explain by science than this. Beside that I would like to know what you guys think about the skills. You all talked about how it's not possible but excluding the theme nobody said if skills were interesting. I also don't see why you say we got nova forget necro. Probably something I don't know about because I don't really follow everything that happen. I barely use the forum. The only form of "necromancy" that I see in Warframe could be control of infestation. E.g. Corrupting dead and alive troops into becoming chargers etc.
