PsychedelicSnake
Ok, so when you are supposed to corrupt the fuel cells in order to blow up the ship, the Grineer try to destroy the fuel cells. The thing is, wouldn't destroying the fuel cells cause a meltdown and subsequently cause an explosion anyway? Grineer Logic: We destroy it > Tenno destroy it
Yanga
Either the Grineer destroys it and it explodes, allowing the Engineers to fix it later on... or it implodes, making it impossible for salvaging the mechanics used.
Endrance
^They try to destroy the corrupted devices. which they can later replace with normal ones. The reason why you take X minutes to finish the defense, is not "protecting the infected fuel" but protecting the ingredient/mechanism that is infecting it. Grineer are dumb, but not that dumb

And when their entire crew is getting slaughtered, they try to preserve themselves by throwing even more of them at the Tenno. Grineer ARE that dumb. Alighierian
and the best example of 'intelligence' displayed by both grineer and corpus: they still can't figure out how we enter their ships. I SAY TO THE AIRDUCTS, TENNO! we got some stuff to blow up!

Felandi
This event would be much darker if it turns out that the corrupters we are injecting are in fact not meant to cause an explosion, but to spread the Infested nanites through the massive hulk. Leaving the Formorians as ghostly graveyards, filled with nothing but certain doom for those daring enough to board.
