I would likle to express my opinion on the Dragon Mod-Package, i have bought 2 of this for 90 Platinums each. It says that you will gain of sure 2 rare Mods...what i got was a little, but bad surprise. I got rare Mods, but the Skills for the Warframes...like Fire Blast Mod for Ember or Misama Mod for Saryn, and i got only identical Mods. It's a pity, because if I knew, I would never have paid for it. I thought i had really really bad luck, so i told this to a friend and he also tried his luck witht the Dragon-Mod package. And he got also only Skill-Mods like me... Now i've "lost" 180 Platinums for nothing, because you can get these Skill Mods much easier than the others. And i had them all.. It one of the reasons why me and many others are still advocating DE take warframe ability mods OUT of the mod drop tables. My friend got mad and sent a ticket about it asking for a refund, they basically told him too bad. What got me is I was telling him about how great the devs were and all the good things I heard about their customer support, needless to say it surprised me to hear they won't help anyone with this issue. Including the Dragon-mod package that you bought. Im sorry to hear that you lost your money like that, Im not even sure if you could make a ticket about this. Its not really gambling or a risk, if you understand the odds its closer to a scam like Zareek said since they don't advertise this in the mod descriptions. Before I used platinum for potatoes, but now I feel bad because I puted potatoes on frames that I sold after.. anyway, some weeks ago I got a 75% off and now I just use platinum for important things (slots.. maybe a potato... but I can get this from alerts). Schattensang Posted July 29, 2013 Share Posted July 29, 2013 As it is right now we have 14 Frames with 2 rare abilities each, meaning 28 rare mods just for the frames. I think the Nightmare Mode rewards won't show up in those packs, which means that we have 23 other rare mods, including the mods in the void, which I am not completely sure to be in the modpacks. And I would guess every mod has a specific chance to "drop" in a mod pack, maybe the abilities on 3 have an even higher chance than the Ubers? Every Casino has better odds. Most of the time you'll get cheap crap when buying random packs, you're much better off with grinding mods/keys on defense missions. I got hells chamber,retribution,thunderbolt,handspring and etc. Next 2 weeks i got my split chamber at killiken. So i guess its better to be patient. I think DE shouldn't give ability mods in those packs, if it would've happened to me i would be mad as hell, so good job keeping your composure posting this ! Now, on a personal note, i would never buy those dragon packs and i never did, same for Warframes and weapons. Three reasons: 5 mods for 90 plat ? That's way too expensive, make it 5 or 10 plat and watch those fly off the shelves (maybe :D) ! i get 5 mods in the 1st waves of any infested defense so it's almost as fast to do that and as random as buying them. Second reason is that it takes away from the joy you feel when you finally get that long awaited mod ( it took me 200 hours to get double shot for primary and secondary, same for flow and 150 hours to get my 2nd warframe, at's RNG for ya ...). Third reason is that i only pay for stuff that you can't get by playing the game, as a general rule. This means frame slots, weapon slots and color packs and NEVER, and i mean NEEEEVEEER buy something random with platinum, not even void keys as you're bound to be at least a lil' bit disappointed. Platinum should only be spent on "you get" and not on "u might get" type of deals. I did buy a few potatoes and even a couple of formas to speed up the dojo building as my squad is being inactive atm but those are reasonably prized in my opinion (although they could lower the forma at 10 i believe). By keeping this as a rule and being patient i've avoided wasting plat on things i eventually got in game and was able to get color packs and all the weapon/frame slots i wanted since i hadn't wasted my plat on anything else. Those are just a few thoughts on how to keep your plat for things you'll actually need or things you can't get in game. Unless you're willing to waste money on virtual goods that COULD please you and that are easily obtainable in game, i suggest Tennos to keep that platinum for future content ;) peace !! They have less time but can afford shortcuts with platinum. I don't have anything against it, but it still isn't a good deal. I feel that if you pay 90 plat, you should have the CHOICE and be able to take whatever it is you want. Some people don't learn as fast, and some other people just like to gamble. Some have "unlimited" plat so to them it's a non-issue, but for most of us, who have a limit to what they can spend in a year on gaming, being cautious on how we spend that plat is a must. Keep spreading the good word around " I don't recommend buying anything random unless you really don't care if you get a bunch of Nope" like this ; ) kudos to you for admitting your errors and warning others about it ! When you've got warframe, you have all four abilities in pack, you can clearly see that 2 of them are rare, then... what, thinking that other warframes definitely don't have them?
