Petition To Keep Raid Missions In The Game (With A Poll!)

Raid is being re-worked. We are just getting survival mode in it's place until the re-work is completed. Stop worrying so much.

At this current point in time, capture and raid missions are virtually the exact same thing. Until raid is fully re-worked we aren't actually losing anything at all.

This is you.

I'm sure most other players loathe raid as much as me.

I suppose you hate missions like Raid, Deception and destroying the reactor since you only have to go to one place and you're done. But that's just you and only you. Everyone else loathes Spy/Rescue.

One less point A to point B stealth mission. But why choose to rework Raid over Rescue which is in far worst condition especially on Grineer ships.

"survival mode"

You mean staying alive for 15 minutes? That sounds like a grind pal.

Considering you could blast through a raid as quick as you wanted, or slowly collect resources it was an amazingly simple and popular game mode. They're taking it out because it isn't profitable to them. Meaning it's causing people not to buy their resources.

Alerts being the only way you can gather resources, or buying them with plat. That is what the future holds.

What, you mean like you can do on any capture or sabotage mission? You're just being dramatic. Nothing has been lost.

We're going into conspiracy theory territory now?

Because it sounds like we're going into conspiracy theory territory now.

More like exaggerating. Really though it's getting pretty ridiculous. First the potato famine. Now this.

You can't criticize the devs of a F2P game for not wanting a profitless gametype.

Yes. Yes I can. I hate to say it but look at Valve and TF2. The hats turn them a MASSIVE profit. You do not have to make resources the key model to turn a profit, considering that the players NEED these resources to make weapons and other objects in the game. That's not F2P. That's pay to win.

Actually I can since they struggle with play retention. Taking out one of the best farming mission types will not make people want to stay. It will increase the grind further, raising the cliff starting players have to climb before they're able to enjoy every part of the game.

DE really needs to play their game sometime. Maybe then they'd see what a monumentally awful decision this is.

Oh, no, the potato famine. That thing DE fixed by completely overhauling the alert system so stuff like that won't happen again.

Clearly that is a sign that DE is trying to focus on being money grubbing bastards.

You guys do realize Raid is just the same as Capture right? If you really wanna keep farming that way just go do Captures.

When they came for the potatoes I said nothing, because I was not a fan of the potatoes. When they came for the raids I said nothing, because I did not value the raids. When they come for the captures no one will do anything, because I'll be the only one left.

No, it's grind2win, pay2savetime. That's an accepted way for F2P games to make money.

Attacking DE for removing a gametype that makes them no money is ungrateful.

This. The two mission types are functionally identical in absolutely every way, so what's the point in having both? Either one or both really needed removing or a rework of some kind to differentiate them anyway, DE just went with the former based on their statistics. Is it kind of a shame? Maybe, but it's definately not anything worth getting worked up over.

You do realize Mobile Defense is Defense while moving around, right? Let's take that out too.

And the new Lotus Escort is Rescue backwards. Let's take Rescue out.

Ok you're being really really stupid here.

The potatoes were just a bad consequence of a less-than-perfect drop system. They fixed the goddamn drop system.

And seriously holy S#&$ give DE some credit they ain't @(*()$ EA.

I humbly ask DE to rethink their thoughts on getting rid of Raid. Rescue missions being my least favorite, I'd prefer that they be dropped instead. Especially as the VIP/Hostage often bugs out/disappears/can't make it through the map. Heck, I was just in a group for that Orokin Cell Alert, and we failed because the hostage wouldn't go under those two tubes in that Grineer tileset.

Know what other game types don't make them money? ALL OF THEM. If you want to pull this "We must bow before our gods for providing us with a form of entertainment" angle, then please tell me why they don't just take our the resources all together? How is "This game mode didn't make us any money so we're going to purge it" even though a majority of the community enjoys it not a bad thing?
