torsoreaper
I think everyone already knows Defection needs a rework. In most places it's lovingly called "defecation". Suggestion: Instead of the game spawning the people one at a time, make the stations A,B,C show up from the start. Let people go there and hit a button to spawn the defectors whenever the player is ready to escort. This way people in the squad can split up and each grab a group on their own and we can do 3 groups all at the same time. Currently, the defectors from B and C will try to stop at A on the way to the evac, just have them go straight to evac. Everyone just immediately tells them "move out". I have never seen anyone have highly injured defectors that need to camp at A to heal. Everyone just has them "move out" right away so let's just skip A to keep the gameplay moving. BiancaRoughfin
I like the Defection missions but its something you have to do with the proper frames and not use Paper frames like Loki/Ash/Volt. Preferred frames with AoE, Crowed Control or Healing. I always do it with Harrow and when the (C) base becomes available i always take it on my own and have the rest of the team stick to (B). 6 minutes ago, torsoreaper said: Suggestion: Instead of the game spawning the people one at a time, make the stations A,B,C show up from the start. This wouldnt change anything, bases would still have to have a cooldown between survivor spawns and you can already speed up the process by hitting a button on the console near the healing station. What you can do is have a teammate stick to that base wile you escort a group on your own. As soon as you turn them in safely he can trigger the next group to spawn and escort that group wile you run back to wait for your turn. 12 minutes ago, torsoreaper said: Currently, the defectors from B and C will try to stop at A on the way to the evac, just have them go straight to evac. On low lvl defection missions they can just run by but on high lvl ones like Sorties or players who have been doing it endlessly for some reason it can get tricky. Its safer to escort both groups together so half or the whole team can escort them safely.
KeLaRo
Defection is well structured, maybe is the most funny and immersive game mechanic of game. Could be considered the upgrade of Rescue and Defense togheter. I would see more content like this, maybe with some "special one" escaped to save, maybe heavy wounded and slowest, but with a % of good reward or affinity boost. PoE could have some CEtus crew trapped inside cave filled with toxic gas, but maybe is hard to fit Open space with prison's scenarios.

I am saying "get rid of the cooldown completely" and I'm also saying "make the console button always available at every station". I completely understand that sortie level would be played differently (though I avoid sortie defection because I don't need the idiot defectors getting stuck behind something) but just because people under my method COULD pull all 3 groups simultaneously, doesn't mean they MUST pull all 3. They can still pull them 1 at a time and be safe.
shoopypit
I did it a few times for the harrow part bp. I thought it was pretty fun and challenging. Though I don't see what problems you actually have with the mission as is. My suggestion is to edit your op, clearly state the issues and why theyre issues, and then what you would think is a good fix for it. It seems you just want changes because you don't like it. It would be nice for you to be clear why you think the mission layout is bad game design
torsoreaper
For the people who are implying I'm the only one who doesn't like defection: Out of the 1975 respondents, 1,384 said it is "bad" or "horrible".

But youre proposal in original post however makes it only more easy and more boring. On 16.1.2018. at 5:19 PM, torsoreaper said: Everyone just immediately tells them "move out". I don't know what they changed here because in operation where Deflection was introduced their health degraded much faster than now and you needed to stop at each station unless someone was following them with Bless.
