Erebos The Darkness Warframe

Art update. Fully painted version.

in this version, I edited the Dark smoke that is coming out of him.

Erebos is inspired by the Greek god of darkness, Mothman and moths. I did a version of him a while back but was not happy how it turned out so a did another.
and here he is. I wanted him to be a  glass canon caster type warframe that uses Shadows, and Darkness to frighten, find and overwhelm enemies.
So let's go to the abilities and stats.

Stats:

Helth: 75

Shields: 125

Armour: 100

Power: 170

Sprint Speed: 1.0

Passive
Erebos`s abilities cost less in the dark and his energy regenerates in the dark.
1. Shadow game
Erebos brings shadows to life that frighten enemy units. The shadows draw agro. 
If the shadows go thru units the dell damage and if an enemy unit is infected with darkness the shadows will swarm on those units a deal heavy damage to them.
2. Dark touch
Erebos empowers his attacks with darkness and dark matter. all enemy units hit with the attacks are stripped of shields and armour. 
3. Shroud
Erebos shrouds himself in smoke and darkness. Becoming invisible in the process. Whail in this shadow form Erebos my only use melee attacks. If an enemy unit is infected with darkness Erebos deals extra damage. If Erebos kills an enemy unit wail using Shroud he regains energy and increases drop rate.

As fore, the fourth ability I couldn't decide which one to use. So here for your consideration tenno.

4. Black Hole
Erebos gathers the shadows, Darkness and Dark matter into a sphere and after a short cast time realises it. The black hole inflicts massive damage and slows the enemies, the closer to the Black Hole the slower they will be.

4.Umbral Asylum

Erebos unfolds his cloak and starts to whisper and in doing he realises pure darkness into the area. this darkness infects the minds of enemies trapping them in a waking nightmare, turning them paranoid and insane. These afflicted turn on their allies out of paranoia and insanity, they gain an attack duff agent their faction and a defensive debuff. Their attacks also infect enemy units with darkness. On death, they turn into shadows. These afflicted with this darkness have a slim chance of killing the self if there are no enemies in sight.

4. Dream Catcher

Erebos`s cloak unfolds releasing strands of darkness as do the darkness that comes out if Erebos creating a weeb. When this is happening Erebos cannot attack. This web of Darkness creates a domain for Erebos and his allies. in this domain, the cost of abilities is reduced. If enemy units come into contact with these strands they are enveloped bay them and are trapped in a nightmare where they see all faction members as enemies. Those afflicted with the nightmare gain an attack buff ageist their respected factions as well as having their defences reduced. 

4.Samhain.

Erebos`s cloak unfolds realising darkness into the era. The darkness that comes out of him creates strand that seeks out enemy units and attaches to them. Causing them to attack their allies and infecting them with darkness. Erebos`s cloak unleashes shadow figures that overwhelm enemy units. The shadows prioritise those infected with darkness.

 
 

Edit: Iv changed somethings in the first and second abilities. as well, I changed his third ability completely. I

personal note: My be coming soon some more artwork for Erebos such as his back, animation ideas for the abilities as well as ideas how the abilities look like. And some codex lore. For all that is mentioned, I'm currently doing research as well, I'm working on a redesign of one of my older fan concepts from 2016.

Does too many things for a primary ability. Compare it to Loki's and Ash's Invincibility. Both are their second ability and they just make warframe invisible. Why? because being invisible in this game is extremely powerful.

Ok, depending on the values this is a pretty good skill. Not sure what you mean about buffs though. Attacks should also inflict Darkness to enemies.

This sounds like a weaker version of Nekros' Terrify. Weaker since it has limited count (number of moths) while nekros does it in an area.

Aside from random snow, this seems pretty similar to Nyx's augmented Chaos.

Ok. pretty basic but at least it doesn't resemble any other abilities too much. 

 

Final Verdict! What is the point of the Darkness Debuff? Aside from his primary ability nothing does anything with it. When creating a warframe, make sure to review the current warframe roster. Try to create abilities that are both unique(in some way) and interesting. You have an interesting idea here. Just make some adjustments. Good Luck!

Most important thing to me too.

 

I like the warframe but it seems it would cancel the use of elemental mods entirely. Also a lot of the abilities inflict targets with fear which might as well just be nekros. 

This warframe sounds like an idea I heard of called a ghost warframe, and no I did not think of it. 

The warframe could turn invisible but not attack, instead it would inflict cold damage to enemies within a radius for a bit of crowd control

Maybe use that? Sounds like coolant leak but better know?

This sounds like a weaker version of Nekros' Terrify. Weaker since it has limited count (number of moths) while nekros does it in an area.

Thanx a lot. Your input really helps.  I will take everything in try to make Him better with the skills. And will do more with the darkness Debuff. Thanks again for all your input and critics help a lot.

Great art btw, I was too focused on the abilities that I forgot to mention it.

I don't think that they would use it though. Primarily because I can see a lot of similarities to other warframes. Mainly, chroma, frost, limbo, and volt.

thanks so much. Well, i took your advice and critics and made some changes.

Well as you know they are a lot of warframes and a lot of fanconcept out there. It happens that when I make something it looks so similar to something else already.

And as you know hope dais last :)

And there is where my emosions wore off.

Bringing Black hole idea to Darkness Frame is more than exaggeration. Its like giving Ember power of the Sun itself.

I`ve meant something very scary in terms of core idea and visuals.

Like cloud of darkness that will make enemies go insane, trying attacking everything even if there is no one in their site, with 10% chance that they will automurder them selfs.
