When I am in the Plains sometime, and not always in a busy scene, the video will die and all I see is my desktop. The game is still running and i can hear everything is going normally but no visual. Is there a keyboard shortcut or sometime i can do to switch it to "windowed mode" when this happens? (then go back to full screen) What I am trying to do is essentially force the game to redraw the screen. 2600k (Core I7, second gen) 16gb RAM Asus 560Ti (SLI) 1GB RAM (v391.01, same issue after at least 3 updates, tried going back as well) Intel 256 GB SSD (98.6 GB free space!) Win 7 x64 MS security essentials Always optimized/verify Warframe after every update Will try to run with "desktop composition" disabled to see if that helps. Will report back if it crashes again. Eternal Posted March 7, 2018 Share Posted March 7, 2018 Ahh, you have a TDR crash. It happens when the nvlddmkm crashes in the display driver. It will turn the screen black and then immediately recover which will make the game screen black, even when the game may still be running. If you want to double check for the problem you can go to Event Viewer > Windows Logs > System and check to see if you see something similiar to this If you do there's a couple things that support will try to tell you to do like, "you might want to disabling BOTH 64-bit mode and Dx11 at the launcher's settings and tune Particle System Quality to LOW at in-game Options". HOWEVER In my past experience with this it was actually fixed by doing a fresh install of your graphics driver. To do that you'll need DDU 'Display Driver Uninstaller'. Then when you have thta downloaded go to 'Clean and Restart' which will reboot and have everything removed so you screen will not be native res. Go to your graphics card manufacturers website and download the latest driver for your system. That should hopefully fix your problems, I know it did for me when I was having this issue a long time ago. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I tried fresh install of gpu driver and also a fresh install of win 10. Playing on 32bit and without dx 11 dosen´t help either. I can force this crash if i keep doing bullet jumps on cetus. My spec: I7 4770k 16gb ram Gforce gtx 980ti Win 10 Im playing Games like Ark and Escape from Tarkov without problems. It must be something on warframe. It started happening after an update, forgot which one. I downclocked the GPU, and the crashes were gone. Now I'm not using DSR and my GPU is still overclocked and that crash happens very very rarely. Can't put my finger on it, but I've also read alot of topics about this on reddit as well, mostly pointing out towards an overclocking issue.
