Recommended Sidearms (Excluding Clan Weapons)

If you are wondering about why I can't just make an Acrid, I'm still Mastery Rank 4.

So hear me out.

 

I'm looking for a sidearm that can:

Scale into lategame well

Is worth being potatoed

Strong enough for T3

Is fun to use

 

Any suggestions?

for me the akbolto and despair...

both have armor ignore meaning even at later missions like levels 50 above they still can be useful...

i forget what rank you have to be to use them, but any of the thrown weps are way powerful.

lex is quite nice if a bit slow.

its all down to preference really. just get all the weps and try them out. you will eventually find one you like.

I used Akbolto for a long time before I got acrid. I have both Kunai and despair, but the Akbolto has better range and is easier to aim.

Akbolto are fun once you get em up a bit. Way better than the single Bolto (I was grinding up a single but got bored....) But, they are semi auto so either good aim, or fast fingers. Especially if you put gunslinger on em.

Twin gremlins are fun and are decently powerful. If you can get one it is not a bad weapon and is like an Akbolto that you can just auto fire at a slightly slower rate. Despair is better if you really care about min/max but I do not find the Despair nearly as fun as using the Twin Gremlins.

Kunai is a good substitute until Stalker decide to drop Despair blueprint.

Ammo efficiency is not that big of a deal, more DPS is. Clicking madly can be circumvented.

 

Outside those three, the field opens up quite a bit. Take a look at the wiki, for something you think you'd like.

 

(Dual) Bronco, (Twin) Viper(s), Lex, Seer comes to mind.

In some conditions you're right, but in most others you're not.

 

TL;DW If you can run Warframe on high graphics settings and don't mind click-spamming, the Akbolto is good. But if you're like me and have a not-so-great computer and a sensitive finger, the Gremlins are better.
