Forma Mistake

I am sure most of you are used to this action. When you are using a program and you wish to stop/cancel, your would normally hit "ESC" and a warming pop up tell you if you want to cancel the process. You would hit Accept/Yes button. Thats just how most program works, and its common sense.

 

But for for Forma, it is totally different. If you selected a Forma and decide to not use it anymore. You will waste your Forma and reset your weapon rank by accident. Because when you hit ESC, a dialog will pop up to tell you that your weapon will be reset to unrank, and ask if you want to apply it. There is never anything that allows you to cancel your Forma even while you are still in menu.

 

Is this work as intended? Once the player hit "polarize" icon on top left, he has to use that Forma no matter what?

It will ask you if you want to reset. Say cancel. Just read the text.

First of all, if you hit Esc, no dialog pops up, it just stops and return to the weapon load view, without losing the Forma. I just tried it to be sure.

 

Only if you hit "apply" will the dialog pop up, and you just can cancel it by clicking "No".
