Ineligible for Reward for connecting on wave 3?

So I just did a run of Hydron, connected to the game as my team was nearly finishing wave 3, then when we finish zone 5 I get told I'm ineligible for reward due to inactivity...

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't there for the rewards it gives, so I wasn't that annoyed. But why are you connecting me at a point where even playing the mission I was ineligible for reward?

Inactivity means you weren't moving for more than 2 minutes and got flagged for AFK'ing. It has nothing to do with what wave you joined at.

I started playing the second I loaded in, and played the game as normal, moving shooting and using abilities, and was still flagged as inactive

Yeah if you'd do any of those things afk flag would went off right away. I know how it works and how players cheese that, saw it plenty at any resource farming, so unless its some really rare bug, you were afk there.

No, I was 100% not afk, loaded in and started playing immediately as I said, that's why this is an issue :P

Using abilities doesn't detract from being considered afk, killing through shooting an enemy or moving a certain distance does though. What warframe were you using? Some warframes like Mesa or Banshee often skirt the edges of the afk time during normal play.

I was levelling Hydroid and a Vectis, I was shooting enemies and moving a lot.

Did you have a very long loading time?

This happened to me a few weeks back and I spend ages in loading screen before spawning in the mission. I assume the game thought that I was there from the start and flagged me as afk regardless.
