[Fanmade Lore] Rhino Prime

Previously, I wrote three entries for my own fanmade 'frames, and entries for Ember, Ash, Hydroid, and Frost.

I started this Rhino entry in January 2017, but never got around to finishing it. Was a request in my old thread by @Rhino

Can't quite decide between two versions.

As always, read in Ballas' voice.

I haven't played the Sacrifice, so please leave off any comments about Ballas' role in it and all spoilers.

Version One

Foresight: my virtue.

To glimpse the depths of the future,

in all its splendor, its horror.

I see you not for what you are,

but what you will become.

When they look upon you,

they see a beast untamed.

But this is not your purpose, your future.

Yours is to suffer.

To nobly endure.

To be born immortal of pain’s womb.

Knight of Carnage,

you will be the hand of fate itself,

and hold the line when all others fail.

When this world is but stories, dust,

and a bedraggled fallen few,

you will reach out your hand,

and command them to rise.

I will call you,

Rhino.

Version Two

Ancient fiction codices are a wonder.

A peculiar favorite:

an obsessed doctor

who thought to create life.

Instead, he created a monster.

When they look upon you,

they see a beast untamed.

But this is not your purpose,

your future.

Yours is to suffer.

To nobly endure.

To be born anew of pain’s womb,

immortal.

Knight of Carnage,

you will be the hand of fate itself,

and hold the line when all others fail.

When this world is but stories, dust,

and a bedraggled fallen few,

you will reach out your hand,

and command them to rise.

I will call you,

Rhino.

Not to shammy suh, feeling more "Ballasian" sensations from the first one then the second. Feeling he's more self-reflective then willing to find insight in others unless they mean something to him.

Thanks, all. @Unus , you might be right.

I thought the chance to reference Mary Shelly's Frankenstein was clever. I think I was wrong.

Not necessarily wrong, just that it might not fit the character themself as well. Just a different perspective.

Do concur that the first version seems more fitting, what with Ballas being somewhat self-aggrandising to put it mildly. Can see the words working well with a battlefield after some kind of explosion, leaving only the Rhino standing.

Otherwise, hope things go well for future and extant projects.
