Tingnok
this needs to have as many ranks as serration and hornet strike, imo melee should be as viable as using guns.
GIMO
Mmmm... it's... hard to argue that last point >_>
Kelkha
Totally support you on this, melee is my favorite method to quickly dispatch enemies...
Slurmageddon
they made it more viable by seriously buffing pressure point, but if its to be equally viable as guns its going to take more than just a damage buff
PsychedelicSnake
I disagree that it needs as many ranks as Serration and Hornet Strike. I pulled my hair out maxing those out. However, I do agree that melee needs to be as viable as other forms of fighting in-game. Hopefully the armour overhaul will make it happen. Sgaterboy
You want to. . . Bring a Knife to a Gunfight?
AfroGamerNinja
Hell no. In fact, Serration and Hornet Strike NEEDS to have the same amount of ranks like Point Blank and Pressure Point.
Lers
I can't really agree that melee needs to be as good as ranged weapons (knife to a gunfight and all that). Maybe on some frames (Loki, Ash and the likes) but not universally. However... they really should at least make normal attacks as viable as charge attacks. Buffing Pressure Point was a good start... buuut then they added all the crazy dual-stat charge attack mods.
CeePee
You want to. . . Bring a Knife to a Gunfight? A massive scythe seems to work just fine for me. On topic, Pressure point is fine as it is after the buff. Charge damages deal massive damage even now, it's not like melee should be as powerful as shooting, but you have sneak crits for melee. About a 300% increase to lategame tier weapons would make them equal to lategame projectile weapons. They literally have the same damage structure, they just don't do the same damage. But you saw from the recent spamming of complaints about it that it's all about that armour scaling. Raw damage becomes less and less a factor and armour piercing becomes the golden ticket once you go far enough into late game.
Saenol
Melee should only be as viable as firearms at melee ranges. Actually, at melee range, melee will already kill stuff faster than nearly all firearms. It's fine as is. Honestly, it was fine before the last buff. Also, closing in on 40,000 melee kills here, so don't say I don't enjoy or have some personal bias against melee.
