MR 18 to 19 Advancement Test has some issues.

Alright, so, I just actually bothered to get enough Mastery to hit 19 from 18. I've been stuck on it, but not because of anything that feels fair; I'll explain this momentarily.

The test requires the player to destroy 6 targets with melee attacks, and also to escort a hostage out. Meanwhile, the test zone is patrolled by AI, and if the AI spot the player, instant failure. Three attempts are given.

Reasonable enough. I take Orvius, to make sniping the patrolling enemies easier; I don't want to have to worry about them, so I make sure to kill them. Goes reasonably well; play it careful, because they just have to spot me to kill my run, but it's going alright once I adapt.

And then they start hearing the button-down swing that precedes the throw attack, which I can in no way prevent when not dual-wielding with a sidearm. When dual-wielding with a sidearm, it skips the button-down swing, but in other conditions, it doesn't. I'll make a thread about that in a minute.

Point is, they're hearing the melee swing, and/or hearing the throw. While I think it logical that enemies, especially in stealth tests, should hear melee swings and thrown weapons within three meters (although whether that counts as being alerted or not is a more complex topic), they're reliably hearing weapons listed as Silent from thirty. Thus, I think their AI has an overtuned hearing variable.

The reason this is in Feedback is because it doesn't feel like a bug to me, but like some number or another is just a little higher than it ought to be.

I just tested it myself. They can hear any of the glaives from 8 meters away in the rank test, yet other melee weapons seem completely silent.  I'm not sure if that's an AI issue or just a test issue, but in the Simulacrum, lancers don't seem to hear anything from my glaives either. In missions, they seem to heard my glaive prime from 5 meters away. Clearly something is going on, lol.

This is a little dated but should still be good.

Update: Just did this exact same run without any issues. I guess if you're close enough that they can hear you charge you're close enough for a take down.
