Secret Area In The Void?

Notice the little room behind this wall on the mini-map. Friends and I discovered it, but couldn't figure out how to get past that wall. Some say you need a Prime to get to the secret room. Your thoughts?

Actually i haven't taken a Prime there yet... Will take my Excal Prime and see what's up.

there is a pressure plate on the other side of the walkway if ice. step oin it, and it has a chance of opening that door.

If you run up the wall, there is a buggy animation that catapults you forward. There is definitely something there.

 

In regards to Primes. My brother took his Excal prime when we went in the first time, but there was no obvious solution for opening the door even with the prime.

There's a bunch of breakable containers behind that wall. Just can't seem to get through, I would think there'd be a switch a something but couldn't find it because ppl were rushing. If you equip thief wit you'd see a lot more of these rooms

There's a trick to getting in that room. Upon entering the room from the other side, and pressing the pressure plate, that door will open and begin to slowly close. You quickly have to rush across the room avoiding the lasers and possible enemies, and slide under the door to access the items within. There's a button inside that reopens the door.

 

The reward is 6 possible open lockers, and a single container that frequently contains a mod.

 

Edit: You may occasionally get a second container, though I've never found a mod within it.

There's a chance that the metal gates in front of the pressure plates will be there. If there is, that means you have a timed speed run to do by sprinting to the other side and avoiding lasers after you hit the plate. The expansion block can be there but you won't always get the event trigger to access the room.

DE didn't make alternate blocks to NOT have the secret rooms. If you bring Thief's Wit you'll notice most of the time the hidden rooms have containers in them but you can't access them. On top of the getting random expansion blocks you also get random event triggers to open these secrets.

That is one of the smaller vaults. There are large Circular White/Gold Pressure plates that open them for a short time in which you gotta run like the wind and get in behind there door where another pressure plate will open it again permanently.

I just made it into that room, but only with Slash Dash, otherwise i would be too late, at the beginning you step on the first plate and at the other side you will see how it slowly close.
