Hello from Chicago!
My ign is NthDeriv. I just discovered Warframe a week ago and have put around 80 hours into it (and I can't stop!). Unfortunately university starts again tomorrow for me and many people (can anyone guess my major from my ign?). Still, I am surprised I haven't heard of this fantastic game until now. Really enjoying the community and the player-help-player attitude that seems so ubiquitous on the forums, especially towards newer players. Hopefully I can find a way to balance school and warframe during the Fall semester, but I am excited to join the community regardless. Thanks for taking the time to read.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!
You guessed correctly! I am deeply involved in mathematics. Specifically I am a Physics major, but it's all the same stuff anyway - just applied differently.

Welcome, and have fun! Just stay away from lore discussions. Trust me.

Haha, I am actually really into the lore. I haven't visited that discussion board, but I will heed your advice and proceed with caution.

Of course, I'd be more than happy to make a new friend. And yes, you're right. School costs too much to not have our full attention.

You guessed correctly! I am deeply involved in being a WARRIOR. Specifically I am a TENNO WARRIOR, but it's all the same stuff anyway - just applied BETTER. MUCH MUCH BETTER!

Fixed it.

BUT WELCOME! Its a great game, and unless you got the planet Saturn or Uranus DON'T purposefully get a blueprint that needs 400 plastids to make... just... yeah.

Anyway, have fun and good luck!

Without math there is no physics and without newton math is little else, but x+-/.

I guess I should've written this clearer. I meant they required the same skills, but applied from different perspectives.

You can also argue about whether or not physics can survive without math and never reach a definitive answer. Math is the language of physics, but physical concepts can be thought about without math. The great Richard Feynman once stressed to aspiring physicists that one should never be caught up on the math. Instead, focus on the what the problem presents and thinking about an approach to find the desired answer. Newton (and others) developed Calculus to describe physics, but he was thinking about & rationalizing the natural laws way before Calculus was formalized. I do agree that if you ever want to yield a practical answer, math must be involved!
