Slighty More Buffs And Ways For Convectrix

Colorful, but somewhat lacking firepower of the shotguns, currently the lowest damage dealing of shotguns (due to the spread and focus needed to target, and wait for the converge). 

 

Now you might say Kohm has the lowest damage, and when it reaches maximum of pellets it deals 360 base damage, and can shoot a whole bunch of enemies with innate punch through of 1m so Kohm can still out-damage Convectrix pretty easily.

 

Now to the stuff:

 

First of foremost: increase the slash damage from 100 to 120, impact and puncture from 10 to 12.5, giving a total of 145 physical damage.

 

Second: The scissoring it does could do enormous damage, like about 4 to 5 times more, (oddly it also does screenshaking when it closes).

 

(Critically Important) Third: The speed for the converging could be about 20 to 40% faster, as fire rate doesn't increase its focusing (scissoring), also, after you've released your fire button or alternative fire button, it will proceed to consume ammo until they have reached their stop point (the beam lens), making them consume ammo after you've released the button, this especially hurts if you've put fire rate mods in, and should stop firing right away when you've released them.

Agreed. As I posted on another thread, it needs to either be working like Dead Space's Line Gun

 

or it could have a less wide beam, but hitting things inside the angle. The way it currently is, it's like Phage and Flux Rifle had a deformed child with AIDS. This gun has so much potential, an I'd like to see at least one of the forma guns reaching a great balance of fun and power.

I'd be happy if I could just get 100% proc per tick (not per second) on this thing, but can't say no to the buffs mentioned in the OP.

^This. So much this. Why didn't they do this? The current Convectrix is unwieldy and impractical. The dual beam mechanic is too awkward and slow for Warframe. Give us a line-gun please.

I've put an ammo mutation on it and came to like it really much. With "pumping" the trigger you can cut rather large groups of infested at once thanks to it's innate punchtrough.

the irony thing is Convectrix design is way too fit for a mini flustuc
