I see you gathered before me. Hungry, terrified, clutching your warframes to your breast. The DDoS-ers have marched their legions into our lands, laid siege to every server from here to the Dark Sectors. Rabid and ravenous they bite and bite away. Tenno, you stand at the precipice! Your Lotus has failed you, so now you turn to Digital Extremes. And yet you do not plead! You do not kneel to dust your heads with ash. Instead you wail why have Digital Extremes have forsaken us. We must look into the mastery ranks we've failed long ago. In a time past our world intertwined with another through an upheaval scholars call the First DDoS Attack. Digital Extremes allowed unholy forces to slip into our domain. The offspring of that cataclysm was the nefarious force called "Whiners".
Yet we did not banish it. Instead studying the vile kin for our own power and wealth. And the monsters at our door, the unholy relics of this First DDoS - the trolls, the salt-eaters, the edgelords - did we raise our Skanas against them? Or have we laid this burden on others? What so called - "Players". Stray children taught the ways of foul sorcery. Their bodies mutated through blasphemous ritual. Sent to fight monsters though they could not distinguish good from evil. The flicker of humanity long extinguished howl within them. Yes, their numbers have dwindled through the years. But a few still roam our lands offering their bloody work for platinum. To this day they shame us with their very existence.
The Servers bleed...flogged by DDoS attacks. The battles are Digital Extremes' Scoliac, chastisement for our sins. And let us not forget the terrors that scourges from beyond our world. The lynchers ride the sky with every full moon. The dark reign has abduct our children into lands unknown. Some say they herald the Next DDoS attack. Can we chart our course back into the light? Will we find the strength to banish the elitists from our kingdoms? Unite under the warmth of the eternal fire! Nigh is the time of the Skana and Scindo. None will fight this war in our stead! Nigh is the time of madness and disdain! -

If you know things are going to get intense, just tell your squad to: stay frosty.
When things do get intense, just be like: Relax everyone, just keep your head cool.
When your squad is quiet, just say: I guess I'll break the ice, *insert another pun here*
When you meet someone new, be like: Ice to meet you.
When someone says thanks, reply with: Snow problem.
When someone's being salty/mean, just say: why do you have to be so cold?
If you happen to have a shotgun or just a massive af weapon, just pull out: Ice-talavista, babeh.
When you be doing sortie missions and the special condition is 'fog': Well, here's to poor ice-sight.
Out of nowhere: I guess I could create some albums since I'm doing some cold-play.

Oh, you want some kind of hand-drawn "paintbrush" effect. That's a little harder to pull off with the tools I have available. This also contradicts what you asked for originally, which was to even out all the spacing and make it "perfect".
Ah okay cool thanks. Yeah, I was talking about how it'll lose that '100% sameness' if the emblem would be made runic, but I was talking more about the width and stuff to be more or less the same.

The way how the edges look slightly uneven and how there are small 'holes' in some of them. Other than that, the logo is looking great! :D It's looking really close to what I had in my mind! Wish I had that kind of skill haha.

@Buff00n, I'm interested to see how far you'll go since it was just a rough version :o Think you can make it look more runic and somewhat even (the first line's thickness as opposed to the upside down 'v').While making it look more runic, I suppose the 100% perfect sameness of width will be lost, but yeah, if its possible :D

Mhm, thing is, I've played with those before and it did not really look good xD I just don't have skill in digital art, except if you count photoshopping faces and MLG-fying stuff as 'art' haha. Don't want to impose on you guys, though it'll make our clan look so much better!

Turns out this is going to be my very first thread/question haha. Not sure if it's the right place so please forgive me, almighty gods of the forum :o
So since a week or two ago, I've managed to completely remodel my little ghost clan so that the clan members can have a little more pride. It's been going great and I really love how the clan's turned out so I decided to invest in it even more by trying to create our own logo! :D It didn't seem that bad at first, until i tried in both Photoshop, Illustrator and even fricking MS paint. There's a reason why I stick to traditional art rather than digital D'x
Anyways, I was wondering if there was any kind tenno out there who'd be willing to help me design the emblem! I can spare some plat or even try farming some parts for you guys, though I'm kinda poor (if I buy the logo that is) and most of my prime parts have been turned to ducats after Baro's last sale. However, I'll try my best and everything so yeah, some incentive haha.
I've already designed the basic emblem in black and white, but can't get around 'perfecting' the actual shape. 'Perfecting' as in:
- the angles aren't off and more or less the same
- the spacing being equal everywhere
- Transparency layers around the logo (showed in black, click the 'hidden content' button)
- vectorising the whole thing

Additionally, the most important aspect would probably be a neon glow. Like, a red neon glow with a white core (like most neon lights). I know the outer glow feature looks great on Illustrator since its all vector and whatever, but I just wasn't able to get the actual shape :/
Finally, maybe a really awesome touch would be to make the white parts look very runic, ya know, as if it was carved in a rock. I don't know how else to describe it, but it'll make the actual emblem look ancient rather than modern.
I'll try to do whatever in my power to repay you guys xD Thanks a lot in advance!

As she looked into the faceless suit, her eyes were attracted to the glimmer of silver and the humming purple lights that adorned the Warframe. It was currently on stand-by, but it stared at her almost as if it was another person. It looked like it wanted to speak so the silence in the Transference Room was finally broken, but they just stayed there, gazing at one another. This proved to be even more intense than the biggest of firefights or Assassination missions. Even the frantic races to the extraction point after a successful capture did not compare to this. This was something else. It wasn't her staring at lifeless armor or gazing into the nonexistent eyes of a warrior. No, it was her staring into a mirror. The Operator wanted to caress the frame's metal face-plate, but instead found the words that had been stuck in her throat.
"My Warframe is the hand," she said with a smile.
"and I am the will."
Edit: Ohhh and good luck to you all! :D Hopefully we'll all get Sandman soon enough :P

An added utility or enhanced version of a proc would be awesome, like the way how corrosive stacks for example.

Nyx and her prime counterpart are simply, a must-have for all players. It's when you start sticking with her that some people just don't get. I don't blame them, it can be 'boring' to use Nyx. However imo, Nyx is an amazing frame.
Her first ability Mind Control can become VERY useful in later game, especially when using it on Ancients since they give you a damage reduction buff if you're near them, making bullets and lasers feel like mosquito stings even against Sortie enemies (levels 60-100).
Her 2nd just looks pretty cool but isn't very useful in the long run, though radiation can be proc'd fairly frequently.
With Chaos being her 3rd, Nyx can more or less protect an objective by herself, no matter the level. Since Chaos affects the enemies around you, the damage output of Nyx's Chaos scales with the enemies. That basically means her presence will be felt for the duration of the mission (especially in survivals and defenses). Many Nyx players mod her for Chaos for a reason.
Finally, Absorb is also very useful. It can save you from unpleasant situations such as being stun-locked by bombards since all you have to do is press 4 and voila, you basically become Aang as bullets and explosives get absorbed by your massive balls. Oh yeah, you can also kill enemies with your balls or knock them down. Did I mention the fully sick SFX that plays when your balls explode?
Conclusively, I feel that she is one of the more underplayed frames in Warframe. She's definitely worth building for other reasons e.g. Mastery Rank, versatility, etc. but using her as one of your mains? Yeah, that depends on your preference. It all goes down to your play-style and how you feel when playing as Nyx. Maybe try investing an Orokin Reactor if you still feel undecided? They always show the 'true potential' of items.
Like I always say, Nyx is like a sponge. She's really useful, absorbs stuff, creates bubbles and most importantly,
You want her with you in the shower ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Both can be just as useful and fun as the other. One may like blasting enemies off the map, or have their screen filled with red numbers, it doesn't really matter.
Kills made and damage dealt...they shouldn't be a focus to most of us. We play games to have fun after all, and though some people might define their definition of fun as being on top of the leader boards, then that's great for them.
For me, it was always about helping people without spoon-feeding them and looking the best you can. Fashionframe true endgame :P
