  1. May as well toss out heavy hitting slow-fire weapons unless you're great at rapidly hitting crowds of corpus with headshots.

I should get one of their shields in real life, that way I can play in traffic and as long as my head isnt run over I'll be fine if a truck hits me

But yeah, I always thought of Corpus as "utility" enemies more than tanks. Able to dish out damage and weird specific counters to us like nullifiers, bursas, combas and bosses that can hop all over the place was a nice compensation to their lesser survivability. Giving them this shield gate limits how we deal with them even more down to basically "use a fast full auto weapon". I like my slow, heavy hitters so much more, but there's not a lot of justification for using them against corpus since, while I can GET headshots, I'm not some pro widowmaker main that can land every single one, so it's either not worth it to bring them, or not worth it to run corpus missions.

Of course, the problem is a bit less of a concern at higher levels, where you would barely even notice the shield gate trigger in the first place, but at that point there's no reason to have the gate anyway, since we wont really notice it.

TL;DR shield gate enemies are tedious at low levels and pointless at high levels

  2.      So, in light of the new dojo stuff, I've come across a few more ideas I feel would be quite welcome.

For one, with the newly useful observatory, I'd like to use it as the main gathering area in my dojo; however, we can't actually set it, or other rooms such as halls for that matter, as a spawn room. I understand that it might be a bit tedious to create all-new spawn locations for every tile, so my suggestion is to do something (similar to Halo's forge mode) where the players can build and place spawn locations in every room, which would enable that room to be used as a potential dojo spawn. These could show up as special objects, although I feel it would be better for them to only be visible while in edit mode. Having a system like this would let us customize our dojos better, and make DE's job easier now (ie, they wont need to go through and add new spawn points) and in the future (assuming they plan to make new rooms at some point).

My second thought is that, while building decorations en masse, it can become very tiresome to go through each one individually and contribute to them. I'd suggest adding a new option at the room options console that allows a player to contribute to everything in need of building at once. It would be like a normal contribution window, but with all needed items on one page; for example, if you have two items that need 200 plastids each, it'll show as needing 400 plastids total. You would contribute as much as you wanted, and it could either fill everything equally, fill those closest to completion first, or those placed first... first.

         Any thoughts?

No I don't want people to pay for it because then there'd be a bunch of people running around with them that just paid for them and that'd be sad, because I actually played in the beginning, I've been through the entire lifespan of the game, and those vandals are a reminder/badge of that... they shouldn't have that badge. Either that, or create a Closed Beta accolade that indicates the same.

Strip the exp and damage, turn them into skins. Problem solved, you've got your pretty trinket and nobody feels left out with a weapon, even slightly.

Or you could continue trying to defend elitism I guess.

DE doesnt care about anything anymore

I farmed up every frame, weapon and prime, I've got pretty much everything (not counting a few exclusives). I don't mind things getting easier for new players. Only an elitist thinks to themselves "man I did this the hard way, everyone else should have to do it the hard way too."

Yep, 6000 mastery is such a distinct chunk of your level progress that you desperately need. /s

Large isn't the same as distinct. It's obviously not something that can't be made up, but it's also obviously something locked away for anyone who happened to not be there at the time. Perhaps if your view is to keep it as a "badge" that someone paid, then your mindset should be to allow people to pay for it now as well. Paywalling is one thing, but paywalling and then time-locking permanently is another.

Hopefully never. Those should be kept as badges of people who played in the very beginning of the game. 6000 mastery is hardly anything worth losing sleep over.

Yeah, I for one hate the thought of people having alternate version of weapons they like using and having a distinct chunk of exp that I also have. Down with collectors and completionists, let's hold everything back forever! Stop rereleasing primes too while you're at it, it's unfair to the people who farmed for them back when we had keys instead of relics! Heck stop letting people download the game, keep it as a badge of people who played it from the start.

dude find a team that will stay in endless fissures for a long time. It's not that hard..

The "long time" part is what makes it a pain, not finding squads or doing the missions. It's cool to grind but when it becomes mind-numbing it becomes a problem. At least in my opinion.
