I'm confused where you are getting this Oberon logically next in line thing? I posted a link showing that both Nekros and Vauban were released before Oberon, and both of their primes were announced before Oberon.
How did anything ever indicate that Oberon was "logically in line to come next?" I am really confused, what criteria are you using to suggest Oberon should have been next?
Look at the release order link I posted upthread, it shows that Vauban was released, then Nekros and then Oberon after that. If Oberon had come as the male prime last time, he would have taken Nekros spot in line, not the other way around.
Look friendo, I was just clarifying what he likely meant, and clarified what I was clarifying (because apparently it was necessary). Don't spin this into an argument that never existed in the first place.

If Oberon was logically in line to come next, it doesn't matter if Nekros was teased to the ends of the earth. He still took Oberon's spot in line. That's not even me saying "man I wish we got Oberon instead", that's just how it happened.

Its not a placeholder when 3 years have been built around a major event in warframe's history. To change it completely now, would invalidate the game for many people, merely turning it into another meaningless grab for money by DE.
Regardless, Valkyr simply isn't the only one that's been experimented on and dissected by Alad V. And with that, we also know for a fact that there's more than one Excalibur (unless DE killed off their precious poster boy in an official trailer), so why would Valkyr have the same twisted nature if it truly was due to Alad's experiments, and not Excalibur? Why wouldn't Lotus chime in, say "hey, uh, that's not how she's supposed to be. Lemme fix up those blueprints for you." or something? Don't think through nostalgia goggles, think with your noggin. It may or may not be true, but it's definitely understandable that Valkyr's prime form uses the same powers as normal Valkyr.
Plus, the whole "she's been mentally scarred due to the experiments" thing was killed off as soon as operators were revealed. The Warframes aren't nearly as sentient as they used to be in the lore, so it legitimately makes no sense for her to have her powers from "mental scarring".
And on the topic of going back in the lore... Remember when the Tenno were descendants of Hayden Tenno? And remember when Lotus was an organization, not Spacemom?

Mutalist Cernos is essentially just the infested's faction bow. Removing that, we've got the regular, rakta, and prime... Just like the Boltor and Tigris, and we've also got the Nikana, Dragon Nikana, and Nikana prime.
This isn't exactly a first.

Remember how a lot of the lore was re-written to make things make sense? Like how the Warframes are basically just remote controlled robots now, instead of actual beings?
Suddenly it's not too far fetched to think that maybe Valkyr getting dissected didn't have an effect on her abilities. Especially when you remember that, for one, you find her in blueprint form (just like the other frames) and rebuild her ("why not gersemi?" because the Corpus had no need for the outer skin while drawing up blueprints for her, they just needed the form and wiring... especially if they had any plans to put a Corpus-brand (tm) outer shell on her if they planned to just remake her), and secondly, she's not the only frame that Alad V chopped up. We see an Excalibur get all his limbs removed, and a mag about to fall to the same fate, in Alad V's trailer video.
If nothing else, you can't deny that the lore back in the day was basically placeholder, waiting to see if it could fit into the grand scheme as-is or needed to be changed.

They're supposed to try and remake the winners, too. If everyone submits a pumpkin carving, then it's easy... All they need is a pumpkin and some knives.
If someone wins with an elaborate 3ft tall decoration made of hardened plastic and gold plates, that would make replicating it... a bit more difficult.

They really need to just get rid of this "feature". All it does is hinder players at this point, especially since we already have the "if you don't move, you don't get a reward" thing.
And there's nothing wrong with using a frame you like, and nothing wrong with Trinity in general. She's good at keeping herself alive, if nothing else, and she also promotes using your weapons rather than relying on your abilities to kill everything.

A friend of mine was scanning and killing kavats in the Inaros quest, when suddenly this popped up. 15+ minutes of their effort was wasted, as the mission failed and he lost 12 kavat DNA.

Perhaps keep the ones we already have as platinum (except for classic and classic saturated), and have some new palettes you can get through missions, achievements, etc.
Or, maybe one or two new color palettes with a rainbow of colors, all of which unlocked via different objectives. Say, unlock this blue from completing 50 spy vaults undetected, or this red from fending off Stalker 10 times.

I've got a suggestion for a similar, but reworked, ultimate, based on the emotion of fear, but without delving into Nekros' territory.
Phobia:
When cast, Phobia causes nearby enemies to have their deadly fears manifest upon them. This will cause all enemies in range to have a high chance of a damage type and/or matching proc inflicted on them that matches their specific weaknesses, and stun them for a short duration. However, irrational fears exist as well; as such, there's a low chance for an enemy to be inflicted with what they feel would be fatal, but is instead a damage type they're resistant to (a stun effect will still take place however, as they're still afraid of the damage).
Perhaps it may create allied manifestations of animals, creatures, objects (like explosive barrels), or enemies (as if their fear was being betrayed by their allies), as well. Maybe as an augment.

This was before the Heliocor. Additionally, killing them with the Heliocor means that your party mates cant get the scans unless they scan them manually first, so you'd have to either solo or be hated.

If I had the talent, I'd do something along the lines of the neural sentry. I see the Orokin towers as a nice synergy between organic life (the trees and vines being used as lights and power cables) and the technology of the Orokin. (If anyone likes this idea, you've got permission to use it. I don't intend to myself.)
