  1. The war is in the backstory. The dreadfully inconsistent backstory, where we were once secret, fearsome, low tech superweapons, conceived in the desperation of a civilization on the brink of failure.

Now we're magic teenagers running around a solar system where everyone knows who - and what - we are, working for the remnant of our original enemy in the form of a ghoulish facsimile of our one time 'mother'. We are cold, greedily calculating mercenaries who are told how honarable we are, all the while being sent out to prevent any of the successor states of humanity from developing any further than bare survival. We've got huge space stations, trade networks, flashy talking space ships (that are on a first name basis with every other computer in the system), we breed pets for fashion, we dance, we ape the motions and clothing of any ponce who happens to cater to our vanity...

The war is long gone. We aren't fit for it anymore.

  2. Here's my build (via warframe-builder): https://goo.gl/sGQiKT

(for those who don't want to click, it's heavy cal, serration, split chamber, shred, primed cryo rounds, point strike, vital sense, and a riven with +50.7% critC, +41.8% critD, +41.4% puncture)

It's... ok. The problem with SomaP is that the disposition is so faint that it's difficult to get a riven that actually improves the weapon, and even if it does, it still doesn't stand out. Very serviceable, still plenty fun to use, but I keep going back to my Supra (and if you told me in 2015 that i'd ever say that, i'd've laughed at you).

If I could, I'd replace the puncture on that riven with multishot and be happy.

  3. In a PBE like Warframe's, auction houses cause unavoidable deflationary pressure on the currency being used (ie, race to the bottom pricing). When that currency is the premium currency that the developer directly sells to players to make their money, this is obviously undesirable.

    Auction houses ain't gonna happen.

    Hello Tenno!

Here you will find a new Warframe resource: https://n8k6e2y6.ssl.hwcdn.net/repos/hnfvc0o3jnfvc873njb03enrf56.html

First you'll want to make note of the Disclaimer:

This list represents data and drops from the PC version of the Free-to-play game Warframe.
That's right - Warframe is free! Which means our drop system is designed to maintain a balance. Our free players can earn the game's content, and our paying players who support us with purchases usually get first dibs on the content by using Platinum (which can be traded to free players)!
As far as we can tell... we are the first developers to post something quite like this - correct us if we're wrong! Let's hope it works out for us and we may start a trend.

This is automatically generated from our internal data but this data comes with no guarantees -- do not expect it to be comprehensive for how complex the game is.
This list will be maintained by an automated process combined with manual publishing with Updates (not all Hotfixes). We update often and new game systems may or may not be covered here.
This list can be discussed here in this thread. Know a free-to-play game that provides official drop rates in a different way? We'd love to know.

    Thank you for playing Warframe.

First, thank you, DE, for doing this. It's super cool, and makes me a very happy data nerd.

A question, though, about the caches on the Kuva Fortress:

    Kuva Fortress/Dakata (Caches)
    Rotation A
    4000 Credits Cache Common (38.72%)
    5000 Credits Cache Common (38.72%)
    2X 5000 Credits Cache Uncommon (22.56%)
    Rotation B
    75 Endo Uncommon (12.65%)
    150 Endo Uncommon (12.65%)
    80 Endo Uncommon (12.65%)
    400X Circuits Uncommon (12.65%)
    400X Rubedo Uncommon (12.65%)
    300X Plastids Uncommon (12.65%)
    240 Endo Uncommon (11.06%)
    400 Endo Uncommon (11.06%)
    640 Endo Rare (2.01%)
    Rotation C
    80 Endo Uncommon (12.58%)
    150 Endo Uncommon (12.58%)
    Orokin Cell Uncommon (12.58%)
    Gallium Uncommon (12.58%)
    Neurodes Uncommon (12.58%)
    240 Endo Uncommon (12.58%)
    400 Endo Rare (3.67%)
    2X Orokin Cell Rare (3.67%)
    2X Gallium Rare (3.67%)
    2X Neurodes Rare (3.67%)
    Argon Crystal Rare (3.67%)
    Tellurium Rare (3.67%)
    Nitain Extract Rare (2.00%)
    Xiphos Avionics Blueprint Legendary (0.50%)

...this doesn't list Cyclone Kraken. In fact, that's listed nowhere in the data drop! Is this an oversight, or is that super rare new stance really unobtainable at present?

Can someone tell me where can I find a defection mission node? I can't seem to find it.

Like it says in the patch notes:

Evacuation is back and it's called Defection!

Returning from 'The Pacifism Defect' preview, Defection is here. Find Harrow Systems + new 'Bane of Corrupted' Mods!

    • Added Galleon, Asteroid and Infested Ship Defection missions to Dark Sector nodes in the Star Chart (Phobos Memphis, Saturn Caracol and Neptune Yursa).
    • Defection has been added to the Sortie rotation!

This is great (I liked the game mode, and variety is good), but a question - are you going to share the drop tables, like you've started doing recently? I hope so.

From the codex entries, it looks like each is a separate tier - Lith relics from Memphis, Meso and Neo from Caracol, and Axi from Yursa.

The drop rates is a great step forward when it comes to transparency.

However how you presented it show the disconnect between how the database is structured.

No mission ingame is shown as easy, medium or hard.

    expect perhaps rathuum.

Easy, medium and hard are all missions within certain level ranges.

To make the information clearer this could be shown.

Ivara is a frame where the parts is spread out over these difficulties as such we already know what level ranges easy, medium and hard correspond too.

    Easy is level 1-15

    Medium is level 16-25

    Hard is anything +26

Easy, medium and hard are each subjective words and without context they provide with next to no information.

Very true. Fortunately all of that information is on the wiki, but it should 100% all be shown in game.

Probably because it also has orthos prime parts which is still Vaulted.

Orthos has never been vaulted (and probably never will be, as it wasn't part of a prime access - it's a vanilla prime).

The original Mag relics don't match the pattern DE is currently using, though, so there was no reason to bring it back.

      Hide contents

Please note we are triple checking our data on this to ensure it is exhaustive - if we add or change we will make an editor's note!

Please keep checking it - you've left out Rush, Pursuit, and Capture missions entirely, and the Rotation data for Axi R1 is suspect (unless it REALLY drops in a different rotation than all the other Axis for half of the Survival tiers).

  10. As someone who has invested untold hours maintaining tables on the wiki, I vigorously welcome DE's participation in making sure that the information disseminated to players is accurate and accessible. Openness with players means that more time can be spent actually playing the game, which is to everyone's benefit.

I'm hoping that increasing the amount of information conveyed to players (oh god, are we actually talking about this really happening?) will involve reviewing and standardizing how information is displayed in the game client. Because right now, there are no standards at all. I've made feedback threads to this effect (see here and here), but it's obviously not been a priority.

My suggestion/request: it's 2017, and I know that the impulse will likely be to make the presentation of data as slick as possible. It is my hope that whatever data is presented will also be made available in a simple text format, for those of use who tend to process it for manipulation elsewhere (the wiki, a spreadsheet, etc). I hate having to key data that I could be copying-and-pasting instead.

Stop suggesting reasonable approaches that have been established for decades.

  12. Do what works for you, but running a bullet hose like Prisma Grakata without some punch through is insane. Unless you get that via riven, Shred should 100% be on there. WIthout punch through, anything that dies turns into an absolute block on damage in that direction till it finishes animating - this is horrible on high ROF weapons.

Hammer Shot is almost never a good choice. It is always outperformed by a 90% elemental damage mod, even on a full crit build. The status gain is irrelevant when you hit the target dozens of times a second.

Here's my setup. It's not perfect, but it works pretty well.
