We're waiting for DE to even acknowledge the issue. Right now, the only things I see on twitter are Rebecca and Co replying to people flailing their arms like tubemen because they didn't get their twitch drop items.
Like, ffs, there are people UNABLE TO EVEN PLAY THE GAME. I think that's higher on the priority list than some items you get for idling on someone's twitch stream.

Well, guess that's it, then. We can only wait for DE to fix this on their side with no ability to fiddle with the hosts file or something to that extend.

if he logged in after the patch and hasn't closed the client yet, then there won't be an entry about the login. It only seems to appear once you close the client down. AFAIK

Doesn't seem to be a pattern. People can log in with another player's account on their own PC, but not their own, or vice-versa. And it seems to be not just a single zone affected.
I tried to use my VPN client to hop through a few non-blocked proxies, (Miami, Toronto) and the issue remains.
Otherwise, connecting from Venezuela if I turn the VPN off.

Still unable to log in, tho I appreciate all those 27 pages of patchnotes. Let's hope you fix this issue plaguing a small handful of us players, so we can get in and play/test/cheer/frustrate.

The automated email you get when you send them a support ticket does tell you to collect these logs manually, so it is all good.
Tbh, they should probably edit the message to include a link to the collector, so you can skip the legwork.

I don't think you can easily share the logs collector, because of tokens, but - let's try...

The CFG file is irrelevant, it stores some of your keybinds and your email only, iirc. The .LOG file is what truly matters.
Also, got my own reply from support.

Yeah, what we need is an EE.log file from a working player, to see what IP it connects to in order to make a potential workaround...

an excerpt of my EE.log when I try to log in. (I just edited my e-mail address out, because privacy).
Now, I don't know how things work normally, but judging from this, the game doesn't even know where the login server even is. It tries to connect to a login.php website that is... well, technically nowhere. The entire host area is missing...

From Midnight to Morning, it downloads at 200KB/s (my full bandwidth), but during the day itself, the download speeds are anywhere between 2-75KB/s. It's partially my inept/malicious ISP throttling, but it is also way below the download speeds I can achieve by using a Download Accelerator with several connections running. I know I tried aggressive and non-aggressive downloading, and the difference is generally not noticeable.
That said, it makes the Launcher Updates before every hotfix take longer to download than the actual hotfix itself... (anywhere from 5 to 90 minutes for a mini-patch)

Throwing my name in here as well, finished downloading the update over night, tried to log in at 6:15 AM local time, nope. Still trying and it's 8:29 AM now. XD
Do hope DE manages to fix this before I have to work. :P

As a Grandmaster, and an adult who doesn't care about exclusivity - this doesn't bother me. It looks sufficiently unique in its own way, with the cloth added and whatnot... In fact, I WANT IT. And I want others to enjoy it as well.

GTX970ti here, and I am playing in borderless fullscreen on my second monitor with a 1.5x DSR factor. The only time I really noticed any slowdowns, is when I got the proc from the Knell sidearm while scoped. Something causes sudden FPS loss when that happens. Only really noticeable on Earth. Not sure why.

It's possible that they have hard-coded minimum values here and there, therefore the speed won't drop any further than that.
