  1. What I was expecting would be comparable to the chat in most MMO games.
Being able to create your own chat tabs that pull chat from the user's selection.
Example: If I wanted a chat tab that takes Council chat, Clan chat, and Squad chat in 1 tab. I can create a tab called 'My Custom Tab' and check those 3 chats for that tab. Then in that tab, each chat message would show with the appropriate color from the originating tab. The Clan messages come up green, Squad blue, and Council gold..

Also maybe the ability to link your gear to chat, so a clickable version of, let's say, my Hek shotgun. Someone can click it and see a preview box of my mods and stats of the weapon, etc..

This Chat 2.0 is kind of disappointing.

  2. I'm not exactly an authority on the subject of rules, but i've practiced writing it for a while, and i've just been using -ah, so words like klehvah for clever.

..that's just not correct, there's already examples of words with the same sound using an R at the end obviously..the discussion we were having was the vowel that separates the consonants.

DE's usage of the sound uses the 'O' character.

  3. Regarding the 'er' spelling, this language is spelt more closely to how it's pronounced. With the 'er' sound, you don't necessarily pronounce the 'e' enough to warrant a vowel character, but leaving just an 'r' feels weird. What would you recommend?

oh, I'm sorry.. for some reason I thought this was regarding the grineer language specifically.

Yes, for tennobet.. that may be up for debate considering there are no DE made words with 'er' suffix.. I agree that you would expect something to break the sound of consonants.

..personally, I would use the short 'i' to make the break.

But- I was looking at the word "Future" as used in example..the ending does have a similar sound. Here, they use "or" sound to end the word.

    Runner - "runor"

The sound from english to tennobet may not be as consistent, but it may be DE's way of writing it if they ever were to.

I don't believe there is any one person responsible for the language at DE anyway because I've seen so many rules bent in different ways depending where you see them. Lots of misspellings as well, things blatantly wrong. So you could use an 'i' where i would for a more consistent sound or keep your consistency with the existing words as spelled by DE by using the 'o'.

  4. Okay, I love this, but I feel that there are some things not explicitly covered in the OP that I have questions about.

    - Tennobet Grammar Rules

    - Sounds like "er"

A few other I can't remember off the top of my head, I will edit when they come to me.

Well I'm not sure what you mean with the "er" suffix.. Grineer words are basically just spelled like english words with few exceptions that I listed in op. The word "runner" is literally spelled as "runner", idk what other examples you may have.

As for tennobet grammar.. There are few grammatical symbols compared to english and the reason for this is quite simple from both a lore point of view and a realistic point of view:

(Forgot where I read this but) The tenno aren't known for their writing, they're known for their combat. The words you see in their "practical" use..are often used as 1 word at a time or a short phrase. You'll see around the void the word "Evolution" (After Warframe's game engine and the idea that humans may have evolved to tenno - but this is a language thread, so enough of that) and the words "Hayden Tenno" which you already know what that is.

The other place is the relay, where words like "Welcome" are posted around along with short phrases.

So their need for grammar is very low.

The realistic reason is that it's a fictional language. But from the lore standpoint, it's a better excuse to DE =P

  5. it says in that announcement-

Format didn't copypasta with the text, but.. Perfect World now owns 58% of Warframe?

Now they can implement their terrible business model into warframe however/whenever they like??

  6. I don't even think it was an aesthetic upgrade. Our current UI is just butt-ugly. Looks like placeholder art and default text. It isn't as informative as the one we had two years ago and it has very little graphical representation of effects, besides that too small icon with the tiny timer that nobody has time to look at whilst in the heat of action. Its stripped down, dumbed down and made to look like they intended to port the game to a x286 system...

maybe i was just trying to be nice.

  7. whether or not you see more usability or less, i think we can all agree that the current UI does lack in terms of functionality. It really could be better and I only really noticed this when looking at the screenshots of our old UI. We got a downgrade in the functionality aspect but an upgrade strictly aesthetically.

  8. cabsey, I tried pm'ing you in game but missed you. I got your invite out though so you should have that.

There's definitely always a place for everyone, teamspeak is an awesome place to stand out in as well if you don't like being lost in the crowd, even if it's just to listen in.

We usually get on late together in eastern standard time, DST, but we have several UK guys in our clan already that have their own time so it's nice to see that group get an addition. Welcome to the team!

  9. Have we ever seen the twins?

Yes, it takes more than one Lotus to do all the work 'she' gets done.

She needs to keep us alive and put us in situations where we can get captured (every event ever). Our capture means the capture of our DNA and the fix for the grineer cloning.

If the corpus capture us, it's just as good because all they want the DNA for is to sell it to the grineer for profit. So naturally, they race to it as the "Queens" coordinate with both parties as well as us.

    ...everything is done.

We're open to lingering so our TS Address is:
