  1. In my personal opinion, we should be able to remove Catalyst from weapons for a price.

I was thinking a Forma + 50,000 credits, or a Forma + 5p. Something that doesn't make buying a catalyst completely redundant (for DE's monetary sake), but enough so that it isn't a pain losing a Catalyst when a better variant of a weapon comes along.

  2. Seems I am an ignorant Northener.

I was assuming Anime was a style, like Pokemon, and that China was not the exception.

    I stand corrected then.

'Anime' generally referrs to Japanese animations, which is where most anime come from. The word 'anime' itself is Japanese, referring to an animated television show that can be aimed at children or adults (or both). Chinese anime is something different, and in a few instances it's rip-offs of popular Western cartoons or Japanese anime. Many asian countries do produce 'anime' shows, but it's only really called 'anime' without prefixes or suffixes when it's from Japan.

If you think of the most popular animated tv shows, you'll find many of them come from Japan, and as such are anime. Pokemon was a Japanese creation, and the tv show for it was made in Japan. Hence, it is an anime even when the dialogue is dubbed into English (it doesn't magically turn into a cartoon). Shonen Jump has lots of "mainstream" anime like Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach. These where originally manga aimed at adolescent males, and often times the story telling and character development reflects that.

Anime is a very diverse medium. I've been watching Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex recently, which is a 'classic' 90's anime.

  3. Reading and looking at some replies and recent fan art have made me come to an awesome synthesis option here.

Make a Warframe comic book, that focuses around the Corpus Commando 212 unit that someone made in the Fan Art section, with the Tenno being the enigmatic and silent entities that randomly are encountered by the unit, while the Corpus Commandoes hunt down the Perrin Sequence operation as well as other threats to the Corpus board?

Eh? Eh? I mean...people have made other characters out of the WF universe other than the Tenno and the Lotus. It would be cool to see player expansion in the storylines as there are a lot of room for different possibilities.

That's almost the opposite of my idea, focusing on a Grineer unit that sympathises with Steel Meridian.

  4. I could imagine a Warframe based anime with a twist. Instead of focusing on the Tenno, it would focus on a group of Grineer that would sympathise (but not ally themselves) with the Steel Meridian. A particular reacurring clan of Tenno could make an appearence in every episode (1 of each frame, always shows up in groups of 4). The Tenno could resolve/create problems in each episode, and Tenno could evolve themselves on and off screen (weapons, companions, attachments, sigils, and colour schemes). Of course, the main focus would be the group of Grineer who would have deeper characters and plot development. Because there is only 1 of each frame (each one assumed to be a different Tenno), character development for Tenno would be limited to the behaviours each individual Tenno displays.

I'm not saying it's a good idea to have a Warframe anime. But If there was one, I would imagine it somewhat like this.

  5. Cases like this are quite common. For some people, like myself, it happens quite regularly and not always because of a poor connection. Sometimes it's just a random bug that causes it.

The long and short of it is, you COULD send in a report and get 1 of the reward items back if you provide:

    * time the mission started

    * the exact mission type

    * other players in the squad at the time

    * the 1 item from the reward drops you want

It doesn't seem like DE has a long term fix for this problem (at least not from what I've seen or heard), aside from fixing any major bugs that cause the problem. If you have poor internet or unlucky dc's, you'll just have to suck it up.

  6. probably an afk leacher -.- DE and their war on "Homers drinking bird"

Someone's quick to assume the worst in others... I always actively participate in missions, and I always try to be useful to my team (that's kinda what makes this game fun). As I said, it's generally a bug that causes it. The most recent incident was when we were heading to extraction after a 40 min survival, and I was downed just inside the extraction room. Everyone else got downed as well, so I had to chew up a revive. Instead of reviving my screen showed me a wall in one of the empty tiles. Other times, the game forces a logout after the mission ends and I end up with nothing.

i was hoping the last paragraph would have further explained the Missions to help identify what is going wrong - but instead you made a list of items (which isn't relevant for trying to help resolve your issue so it no longer happens).

Void Defense and Survival, especially when it gets past the 30 minute/wave mark, and especially when I'm Nekros.

  7. I'm fairly sick of this happening to me, and it happens regularly enough to make me want to stop playing warframe.

Some kind of bug happens just as the mission ends, and the result is losing the entire rewards, credits, pickups, and affinity from that mission. It almost always occurs in a void survival or defense mission, and I'm tired of getting to wave 40 or 40 mins in a T3/4 defense or survival only to lose everything I worked for... again.

I recently lost a Bleeding Willow, 2 Prime BP I didn't have yet, and enough affinity to get a weapon from level 8 to 30 in a 40 min T3 survival. At the end of the mission, I received nothing. That's practically an hour of my time I will never get back.

  8. Even when I'm running quick thinking/rage valkyr with maxed vigour, steel fibre, and redirection, a level 10-20 detron crewmen poses a threat when left unattended. Not complaining, much. Just adding my 2 cents.

  9. As it stands now, Chroma has 3 appearence Customization slots. There are some people that enjoy colour coding their frames thematically. For example, I enjoy having a unique colour scheme for each Chroma Element. As it stands now, I can only have 3 colour schemes saved at any one time.

Simple solution, add a fourth appearence customization slot for Chroma only. That way players can easily swap between the 4 elements, and have them all colour coded to their desires.

  10. How-A-Shotgun-Works-In-Video-Games.png

I think this is a fitting image when it comes to damage falloff from shotguns. On a more serious note, even at point blank range, my favourite shotgun doesn't seem that powerfull (Sobek). Even fully modded, standing right next to a lvl 25 heavy gunner, it takes 4-5 shots to kill it.

Long story short, I'm petitioning for the removal of damage fall off from all shotguns. Even if it means higher pellet spread.

  11. When the decoy expires, it deals damage in an aoe (something thematic, maybe toxin/blast/radiation) with a ~50% proc chance. If it was destroyed before it's duration was up, it blinds enemies in the area for the duration it had remaining.

  12. Nekros

    1. Nekros' Desecrete Augment didn't really help fix the most major problem with him: he sits around spamming 3. Have you consdered making it either a toggle, or a timed effect, that targets corpses in a smaller radius but pulsing them every second or half second?

    Grenades

    2. Can there be a rework for grandes thrown by enemies? Trying to do any defense mission is difficult when a single grenade takes out 3/4 of your combined shields and health. Unless you happen to see the enemy throwing the grenade, you have no way of knowing it's coming. This is made harder when the grenade throwing animation doesn't stand out very well in a group of enemies.

    Stun Lock

    3. Stun locks in general. I get some good laughs out of them, but it's mostly laughs of pain and suffering as a mutalist moa knocks me back, and then an anciet hooks me towards the moa, and then I'm knocked back again. I've had this loop go on for about 30-45 seconds on a somewhat regular basis.

    Dragon Frame

    4. It was mentioned previously that the new dragon-themed frame will have it's abilities elemental damage changed depending on what energy colour is chosen. The problem was brought up that some people with only the default or certain limited (smoke, valentines) colour packs will be at a disadvantage to those that have brought certain other colour packs. As part of a quest to build the Dragon Frame, would it be reasonable to get a select colour pallette, only available to be used with the said dragon frame, which has 1 colour for each elemental damage type?

  13. Playing a Syndicate Spy 2.0 mission. Cephalon Suda, corpus as main faction. Almost every side room is one where Grineer spawn pods are sticking out of the walls, and Grineer are spawning all over the place.

What does this do? Of course set off the alarms all over the place.

Don't know if this is intended or not, but really... it's a bit absurd. As careful as I can be while going as stealthy as possible, it's frustrating to have to put up with heavy gunners setting off the data countdown becaus they decided to take on the corpus right next to the data room.
