  1. Just a friendly reminder for the PC players waiting eagerly for U18 - The daily login resets at 00:00 GMT. For those in Australia like myself and time zones +11, that's 11am Friday. The EST (-5, what DE uses) is 7pm Thursday.

If you want to get the first daily login reward for Login Reward 2.0, wait until U18 arrives before logging in past those times.

What local time does the daily login reset at for you? As I said above, once it hits 11am Friday I'm logging off and waiting.

  2. I have played this game a for quite a long time. Usually casually so not high MR rank considering time played. Though I don't think time played should be a factor. MR is easy as heck to get you just have to try. Just try stop whining and just do it. Its not like forcing yourself to level something is that hard with Draco. When Draco is removed then that will be more fair but until then suck it up.

Look, I'm trying to come up with a solution to what I see as a minor problem for an upcoming feature. That kind of reply is actually not constructive to the conversation. Surprisingly, I don't find "suck it up, do Draco, and stop whining" as a valid point, even if it was phrased in a way that wasn't inflammatory.

I know this might seem like a lot to ask, but please try to keep on topic, ie, why you agree or disagree with the original post. I'd rather not have to ask for this thread to be locked.

  3. Well, there is Tennogen. My fellow Clan leader and I are working on making a Syandana based off our clan. He's a professional 3D artist, so here's hoping DE likes what we put up.

Obviously not everyone has the skill or time to do this though, so I think the second option would be great: A Syandana that has your clan emblem on it.

  4. I know I'm not the only person with this concern, so hopefully people agree with me. Having better login rewards for the more experienced players is great. It means players that have invested time and effort into the game are given something better suited to them when they log in. However, having it tied solely to Mastery Rank feel unfair, especially for the players that have invested immense amounts of time into the game but still have a lower Mastery Rank. I've invested almost 2000 hours over the past few years, yet I only recently reached MR 17 (I saw there was a similar thread in which someone has about the same time but is only MR 10).

I propose two possible solutions to this perceived problem.

    1. Have a soft or hard limit to how much Mastery Rank influences login rewards. For example, "players will gradually have a better chance of getting better rewards based on their MR, up until MR 16 when the chance no longer increases". For arguments sake I chose MR 16 (Eagle), because it's not too high for most dedicated players to obtain, yet not too low to make it easy for newbies to quickly reach.

    2. Make it based off time played and Mastery Rank. A person with a play time of 2000 hours at Mastery Rank 10 should have much better rewards than a person with 300 hours played at Mastery Rank 15. The quick formula I came up with is:

    MR * (1+ (Hours Played * 0.01)) = Login reward modifier

This formula benefits the people who have put in thousands of hours over a number of years, yet might have a lower mastery rank because their focus in the game is not collecting and ranking up weapons. I'll show a few examples of this formula below, to show the login reward modifier of different types of players.

Newbie who has only played the tutorial [MR 1; 1 Hour played]:

    1 * (1 + (1 * 0.01)) = 1.001

New player who has a few warframes and weapons [MR 5; 30 Hours played]:
    5 * (1 + (30 * 0.01)) = 6.5

"Average" player [MR 15; 300 Hours played]:
    15 * (1 + (300 * 0.01)) = 60

Mastery Rank focused player [MR 21; 450 Hours played]:
    21 * (1 + (450 * 0.01)) = 115.5

Veteran player, non MR focused [MR 15; 1500 Hours played]:
    15 * (1 + (1500 * 0.01)) =  240

Veteran Player, MR focused [MR 21; 1500 Hours played]:
    21 * (1 + (1500 * 0.01)) = 336

Please note the numbers used are fairly arbitrary, and are just used as an example.

  5. For those that haven't been following the U18 teaser site, get on it. Every 24 hours they release a promo code, which will unlock something extra once U18 is released. There are 6 promo codes total, and we're up to number 3. The site can be found here:

    https://warframe.com/seconddream/

The first teaser showed the stalker, with some text about the Second Dream, while the second showed us the Moon, and some lore about it. Today's teaser showed us some new weapons, and hinting about the sniper reworks. If you hover over the Warframes, it highlights them in full colour, and also helps to see the weapons they're holding. If you're not aware of this you might have missed it, because it can be a bit hard to see everything in mono-colour.

Aside from an epic-looking new sniper, it seems we're getting a new Blade & Whip weapon already, only a few weeks after the release of the Mios. I must say, I'm a massive fan of the Mios. It makes me wonder if this new Blade & Whip is going to be a side-grade, upgrade, or downgrade from the little infested snapdragon. I've already invested a potato into my Mios, so I'm hoping the the upcoming weapon isn't just a straight upgrade.

    P.S UPDATE 18 HYPE!
P.S.S In the time it took me to edit this image and write this post, 3-4 other threads on the same topic came up. D:

  6. Well, this thread is basically whining about something and being overly negative and dramatic to get some attention. Looks like you've achieved the attention you desire. Congratulations.

Saryn rework isn't necessarily a nerf. I think it's probably a bit better than before, but requires you to be smart about your build and press more than 1 button.

  7. I don't believe we are part sentient. I do think that the Stalker is an ancient tenno that didn't get put in cryosleep by Natah, and so he remembers what Natah did to the Orokin empire centuries ago. He remembers her betrayal and sees the reawakened tenno blindly following her every word and order. The Lotus truly cares for the tenno, but did some terrible things in the past such as destroying/shattering the Orokin empire. The Stalker only sees an enemy manipulating his brethren. The reason he wants "retribution" whenever we kill a boss is because the bosses are the remnants of the Orokin empire. The Grineer, Corpus, even the Infested were all part of the Orokin empire in one way or another before Natah destroyed it. The Stalker wishes to protect what is left of the Orokin empire, and now Natah is back to finish what she started (in his eyes). This isn't far from the truth, as we do seem to be killing the more important figures in the Grineer, Corpus and Infested factions for (in some cases) no reason at all.

Just my 2 cents. By the way, love the format of the post. Easy to read, concise, all around great.

  8. I don't know why people are getting so upset about what he offers. It's not something worth getting upset about. Honestly, if you're genuinely upset about Baro Ki'teer you're being extremely childish. The way things are now is fine. Every two weeks he brings something that someone will want. It could be a weapon, primed mod, a now unobtainable event mod, or a cosmetic item (better than spending plat). If he doesn't have something you're interested in, too bad. Someone out there will want what he brings.

  9. From what I can tell, this is a new thing that happens from time to time. Like a cross between a tactical alert, event, and invasion. Great rewards for a small amount of playtime/input (like a tactical alert or invasion), but the consequences are permanent on a failure (like an event). I think it's a great way to get players involved in archwing, while giving them a fantastic incentive to do so.

From what I can tell, aside from the completion reward of 50k credits, you can farm imperator vandal parts and bps, and packs of 5x rare fusion cores every time you run the mission. Consider the mission can be run in 2-3 minutes and has low level enemies, that's pretty good.

  10. If I'm going to be perfectly honest, I think Warframe China got the short end of the stick, not the other way around. But first, let's clear up some inaccuracies.

In the video, when going over plat prices (from 5:22), you assumed that the currency to convert from is yen. Anyone who knows anything about Asia could probably tell you that yen is the Japanese currency. It was mostly likely the Chinese yuan. Notice the difference between the yen and yuan with this handy image.

    446px-Yen_Yuan.svg.png

               ^JAPANESE YEN^                                    ^CHINESE YUAN^

Now note the difference in exchange rates between 988 Japanese yen to USD, and 988 Chinese yuan to USD.

    8A3XFNe.png

Consider that 157 USD gets you about 300 plat. It's not great to give a straight comparison of plat to dollar, but I get a strong feeling that we get much more VALUE per dollar in the global build.

The second thing to consider is the overall quality of the stuff Warframe China is pumping out. From the stuff we've gotten so far in the global build (Ninkondi and Spira), the models and textures are sub-par and the stats/handling of the weapons are a resounding "meh". Their artistic style does not sit well with the rest of the game (perhaps being catered towards what a Chinese audience consider "cool"). Say what you will about Warframe china getting stuff that we don't. I would actually be okay with us not getting the same stuff as Warframe China at all, because of the quite obvious lack of quality. I'm just going to say it, Changyou don't put out the same kind of high quality content that DE does; Changyou puts out decidedly average quality content.

DE has a great relationship with it's customers, the players of Warframe. I strongly believe they care about providing us with an enjoyable experience, and the money will come from the satisfied customers naturally. It's part of a positive, respectful, compassionate culture. I honestly don't know if I can say the same about Changyou. Rumours may be rumours, and we only have so much evidence to go on about how they're handling Warframe China. But I can say with some degree of certainty (as a part-Chinese person) that Chinese people and companies do not have the same culture that we do. It's more dog-eat-dog, and (some) people will take any opportunity to improve their position. That might mean players cheating, it might mean business practices that seem unethical from a Western standpoint so companies can get more money. All I know is I'm glad that we have DE, and I don't envy the players of Warframe China.

  11. Both it's crit and status chance are fairly lackluster. In my opinion, go for raw damage. As for destroying or feeding the singularity, it depends on what mission you're playing. If you're hiding at a bottleneck in a survival, or in a defense mission definitely keep the singularity going. Basically only keep a singularity going if it's in a high traffic area that enemies will keep running through, making it's main purpose sustained DPS and CC. Otherwise, destroy it for the burst damage.

  12. This boss originally was supposed to have different "stages" to the archwing battle with it.  Now they are probably saving it for the trials, which sucks,

What if I told you that Jordas Golem was meant to be a trial exclusive boss, but it was only recently that we found out we would be getting him outside of a trial at all? Sure, it's a watered down version of what the fight is supposed to be, but it's better than nothing.

  13. I was playing the new Jordas Golem bossfight, and it was fairly early in the Archwing section of the mission. I was the host, and I was evading the Golem's attacks when I noticed an object moving quite quickly in the background. I soon realised it was a distorted 2D image, and it had appeared to have been stretched, flattened and rotated in odd ways. I took a screenshot, but it doesn't quite do it justice to how weird it was. It was moving from the right side of the screen to the left very quickly, and wac across the screen and gone in about a second or two. It was moving horizontally across the screen, not diagonally like the angle of the object would suggest.

  14. Funnily enough, I found your thoughts on the two parts of the fight almost the exact opposite. Juggernaut behemoth can be 1 shotted and is no challenge at all, the Golem fight is fun and a bit of a challenge (if you're not the host and the Golem spams electrical attacks - since electrical attacks seem to always home in on the host) even when using a rank 15 Odonata with the default Archwing weapon.
