  1. The page for platinum purchases seems to be bugged.

    No link i working there.

And instead of having several tabs for the different payment methods everything ist simply listed in a very long... well, list...

I tried it on two different machines, via two different ISPs, so i'm rather sure the problem is not on my end.

  2. For one thing, a direct hit from Freeze will freeze an enemy solid, which is incompatible with finishers, as every finisher animation involves both the Tenno and the target animating. The animations wouldn't work if the enemy didn't move, and it would be silly if the target suddenly un-froze, especially if they kept the visual effects of frozen-ness.

So the only way finishers would work on frozen enemies is if DE made a new set of finishers for every weapon type, just for frozen enemies. And that's just not going to happen.

But... maybe if it were to give us the 4x stealth multiplier on melee attacks against frozen enemies, instead of finishers?

This point is invalid, since it's the same with Equinoxs Rest ability.

It simply prematurely ends the Rest state.

I'll counter your question by posing one of my own: does Freeze need to open up for for finishers?

Also, Freeze is a 1, not a 2, or a 3, or 4.  It already has two effects built into it, making it versatile and useful at a low energy cost.

    (...)

That aside, I really (really -- no, really) don't think it would be healthy for the game to have entirely too many abilities likened to one another, lest we run the risk of it becoming a trite bland and overdone.

    Regarding the first point:

Do Blind or Rest "need" to open up for finishers? Yes, i think so, because the enemy is made absolutly defenseless.

I whould basically mean, you can take your time to perform a strike for a vital part of the enemies body, without the enemy being able to react to this attack.

Since the same is the case for Freeze it should, just as to other examples, open up for finisher attacks.

    Regarding your second point:

Is there really a point to tying a maximum of usefullness to an abilities position on the keyboard?

Take for example Ashs 2 and 3. Is Smoke Screen really a lesser ability than Teleport, because if you are right, it should be placed on 3, not on 2.

Not to mention, keys can be freely changed.

Abilities should not be allowed to have a maximum of usefullness that tied to their key.

Regarding the energy cost, it's justified, since, on the contrary to other examples of finisher-opener, it is a single target situation.

Equinoxs Rest is, just as freeze, a 25 Energy ability, yet it still effects potentially more than 1 target.

    Regarding your last point:

As i said previous, it's a question of having a certain coherency.

If an enemy gets disabled, then he should open up for a finisher.

  3. Simple question:

Why does Frosts Freeze not open up enemies for a finisher attack?

Just like Equinoxs Rest and Excaliburs Radial Blind the attack leaves an enemy anable to defend against an attack.

    So it should be logical.

It whould give at least a little bit of a reason to actually use it ON enemies, when currently it's a lot more effective to freeze the ground, since it then effects multiple targets.

It whould also synergise quite nice with Frosts role as a tank, since Life Strike whould become a great way to recover his HP.

  4. Are there any information about when the Frost rework will hit the game?

Scott already explained how exacly the rework will turn out, so the planning phase seems finished.

Also, Rhino got a small rework even before Frost, which makes me qustion how important Frost is to the devs.

  5. Added Serration on top, now i'm at 1000 at most, while the interface says is should be nearly 3000...

Tried the shooting range again, and looked out for the Healthbar. There were hardly any burst damage, even when i shot the enemy right into the face, so i could confirm that i really hit him spot on.

It really seems to me, as if it's explosion was broken up into a DoT

  6. So, i started using the Torid today.

Right now it's on level 11, so i put the 90% Toxic damage mod on it and it should theoretically do 950 damage, when exploding.

Then i took it to the shooting gallery and had a level 80 Corpus Tech spawn and fired a bit on him.

The thing is, i never saw any number even near 950 pop up.

I always thought that the Torid projectiles whould explode like Ogris/Penta/etc. just like the Lobber Crawlers projectiles, since on the wiki it's described in this way.

So my question is, is the 950 damage not an explosion but the damage of the cloud it generates?

  7. Sorry, I just have to get this out.

    This event is incredibly frustrating.

By now  did 10 runs, only in 2 of those the damn thing was triggered, while in only a single case the Bursa actually spawned, just for me to realise, that Frosts Freeze ability doesn't work on them, so yeah, another wasted run.

It's quite amazing, how a single event actually managed to burn me out on Warframe, over the course of 4 Hours, after i happily played over 1000 hours.

And even if a had a single point after 4 hours, this whould only mean, that i have to repeat all this nonsens for another 16 times, always with the possibility, of the event not even triggering reliably...

Sorry, but whoever designed this event deserves to be slapped on the back of his head.

This event is really utter trash.

  8. In my opinion, the biggest problem of this event ist it's duration.

DE should have givven the rewards earlier. The Imperator Vantal after 10 Missions at most and the event itself should have lasted until december 31.

If i counted right, we are down to two relays by now and i'm pretty sure at least one more will be destroyed.

The problems at this point are:

-People who dislike the Archwing gameplay complain about to much grind.

-People who got the rewards stopped playing the Formorian Missions for the most part, which means the rest has to do even more grinding to save the last two relays.

  9. A lot of a Kurbrows resilience comes from the Warframe the player is using.

An Embers Kubrow dies a lot faster than a Frosts/Valkyrs. I think this should be changed as well, even though it was a nice idea in the beginning.

But, just as with the Archwings until very recently, it restricts them to certain Frames.

Anyway, aside from that, Kubrows are extremely usefull in low level content.

But since you face a lot of different mission-types while clearing the Star-map you might have to switch between different Kubrows fairly often, so the medicin whould be more of a feature favouring low-level players.

  10. A few livestreams ago there was mentioning of a potential craftable item, which whould remove a Kubrows stasissickness.

If i remember right, it was thought about making it's components Argon crystals and Cryotic.

I whould like to know if this item is still being considered.

I understand if the devs forgot about this item, since a lot happended since then, like Archwing and Relays.

  11. Both seem to have the same problem.

The dot, which is used to aim the scanner or sniper rifles is displayed below it's correct position.

When reloading a sniper rifle, this dot changes back to the standart crosshair, which is then located at the right position.

    Pencakes:

It's actually quite interesting how different pancake recipes are in different countries.

Here in germany the most common recipe is:

    100 gram flour

    100 millilitre milk

    25 millilitre water

    a little bit of salt

    1 small spoon sugar

    1 egg

    you mix everything.

put the mixture into your pre-heated pan,

fry it until it got solid enough to turn it's sides,

fry the other side goldbrown until it's goldbrown.

    DONE!

This recipe is a far less sweet variant.

It tastes very good when toppng it with Chili con carne and on top with a good cheese.

My choice whould be a young dutch gouda.

  13. SOOOOOO,

the Trinity Profile video is now up on youtube.

To be honest. i was waiting for this one.

I hoped that here they whould adress the issue at hand, maybe with a line that whould clarify that you basically have to choose between Well of Life and Energy Vampire or Link and Blessing...

    And the waiting payed of.

DE Fell into their own trap.

In the Mod section of the video Duration-Mods are described as "strengthening ALL of trinities abilities".

As i stated in the opening, this is not the case for 50% of her abilities.

Well of Life as well as Energy Vampire, both get weaker with the use of Duration-Mods.

  14. Completly destroyed the mission selection.

If you zoom in there are no names in the missions and they can't be selected.

Instead an alert-mission will be selected.

If you zoom back out to the star system overview the names of the planets are mssing as well.

  15. I think, the most efficent way of getting Charackters, in this case the Warframes, balanced is:

    Ignoring the forums

Usually, the average forum poster has no idea of how balancing works.

They played a maybe a dozen of other games and suddenly they think they know what they are talking about.

Most importantly, most of those guys don't even try to think of the reason, why a system like having no cooldowns, is being used.

These people simply assume they are soooooo much smarter than the Devs, that only they were able to think of those "clever solutions, without any downsides".

Those people have usually no idea how those issues are discussed and handled in a specific company.

-They don't know what the actual reason are.

-They don't try to think what those reasons are and thus don't at least try to understand the reason behind a decision.

-They don't  try to understand the downsides of their own ideas.

Here is a good example for the third point:

Balance through cooldowns, not nerfs:  Suddenly, arises the possibility of balancing frames and abilities without needing to steal their godly might. And also, overwhelmingly destructive abilities and powers don't need to be scrapped or instantly discarded anymore. It also becomes a lot easier to achieve balance among the frames.... maybe XX's uber is far more devastating then YY's, but we can make YY's cooldown shorter. And thus, we can obliterate the concept of NERF from the face of this game too.

What the writer didn't consider is,
    this is a nerf.

Being not allowed to use a skill literally when you want to reduces the skills worth and thus is nerfing it.

For example, that a direct damage Skill, like Volts Shock.

If it deals 150 damage and i think you can use it roughly every 0.5 seconds, limited through the animation.

So, i guess this is what the writer is thinking of, when he says there are no cooldowns.

Anyway, this will result in roughly 300 dps.

Now let's assume this skill whould be classified as an unimportant skill and thus get a

    negligible cooldown

    of 1 second.

Now your dps is down to 150.

You effectivly cut the skills damage in half. If this isn't a nerf, then what is?
