  1. The game has been patched and now Dante's hitbox can
block his own LoS and even the FoV settings mess with it!

Jesus Christ almighty, I dont know who is keeping LoS but
their attitude reminds me of Scott during the Draco Nerf

I thought we were over this.....

REMOVE THE LINE OF SIGHT !!!

Someone pointed out in another thread that there's a glaring flaw with the new LoS
method and any enemy that your own frame obscures from the camera will fail the check.

Line of Sight will never work properly, they need to remove
it completely and balance things by adjusting the numbers

DE is in the quick sand and they keep moving around 😔

  3. Beyond Dante, releasing a new Warframe, including it in 2 Platinum bundles
and a Supporter Pack and then nerfing it, all in the span of 1 week, is nothing
short of nonsensical. This is bad PR, it reminds me of the old days of Scott's Nerf
Hammer, when nerfs would be done for pettiness and kept out of stubbornness.

Im honestly baffled, DE has been great at balancing since Scott left, why chase nerfs again?

  4. Completely missed the main issue AGAIN: Dante's Overguard regeneration
to allies is MANDATORY to his kit, so he negates HP builds just by playing

Gauss 2, Hunter Adrenaline, anything that requires DMG to HP is turned off.
You nerfed Dante exactly in the wrong way and the LoS mess up his theme.
You took away what made Dante a Wizard, your ruined his whole flavor.

The Line of Sight to his other abilities needs to be REMOVED completely

  6. Yeah, keep merging the Posts to dillute the backlash, that will surely fix everything! Right?

Here is what DE officially said in Reddit :
    https://new.reddit.com/r/Warframe/comments/1bwkek7/dante_and_los_issues_and_next_steps/

    Cita

We botched the LoS change to Dante yesterday and apologize for shipping it in that state.
We will be making changes later today to improve it, details ahead. One silver lining that came
from this mistake is that we have decided we will revisit older LoS checks to use this improved
version in a future update. Old LoS check: We do a raycast, basically draw a line from you to the
enemies center and if nothing interrupts the line along the way they are considered on sight.
Raycasts ignore other enemies. Additionally we had a bug that prevented it from working on
ragdolled enemies, so if they were pulled by vortex or whatever they were totally invisible to
the ability. The main problem with this approach(aside from the huge ragdoll bug) is that a
single raycast can easily trigger as false if for example there is a small railing between you and
the enemy. Abilities like Radial Blind, Vast Untime and Rotorswell for example use this same logic
right now. New LoS check: First if the enemy is within 5 meters we don't do LoS at all, we just
assume they are visible. Then checks if the enemy is being rendered, which works for any enemies
on screen, so if you see even their pinky toe, they are considered visible. Then for enemies behind
you instead of one raycast it does three, one to the top, another to the center and finally to the feet
and if the're successful, then we determine is visible, this means false blocks are much less likely.

No. Remove LoS altogether. If you wanna balance Tragedy adjust the numbers.

Still not a single word about Overguard shutting down other Player's builds.

DE was making amazing progress in terms of balance, what the heck happened?

    Dante Balance Changes

In the time that Dante has been available to play, he has quickly become a fan favorite! We recognize how much of a blast it's been to play this quill-wielding Leverian wizard, which is something we have kept at the forefront while determining the following balance changes. These changes are not meant to suspend the fun factor but to maintain our philosophy on why we nerf things in Warframe (automated play, disruptive to squad, or overly dominant).

After much review and feedback consideration, we recognized that it’s not the damage Dante can deal that needed to be addressed, but rather his accumulation of Overguard. We still believe Dante is in a strong place even with these adjustments, as our goal from the start was never to nerf him into the ground. However, finding balance isn’t found simply in the nerfs, but also in the buffs! So we have also given a little bit of love to Wordwarden and Triumph.

Completely missed the main issue : Dante's Overguard regeneration to
allies is MANDATORY to his kit, so he negates HP builds just by playing

Gauss 2, Hunter Adrenaline, anything that requires DMG to HP is turned off
You nerfed Dante exactly in the wrong way and the LoS mess up his theme

Having such a popular release and selling tons of bundles just to nerf Dante
in such a way is bitter to say the least, and the nerf to his Overguard to allies
is still needed because I cant play him if there is a Gauss or Nidus in my team.

Hello! I'm popping my head in here to provide some dev insight related to this conversation.

As Dante Unbound nears one full week since its launch, the team has been reading and collecting feedback in all areas, including Dante himself.

To remind us of our nerfing philosophy, we do not nerf things unless it AUTOMATES PLAY, is DISRUPTIVE to a squad, or is DOMINANT in states.

We are currently happy with how favored Dante is and recognize that nerfs typically have a negative connotation. With that in mind, we are reviewing early stats with an open mind to ensure we don't leave room for disruptive or dominant play styles. Any tweaks done to Dante will be to ensure he is still performing strongly, just not disruptive or dominant.

The problem is very simple: Players can't opt out from getting Overguard from Dante

The solution is also very simple: Make it an Augment like Styanax and Frost Overguard

  9. Update 35.5 is AMAZING! Dante, Inaros Rework, Invisibility Sliders, Netracells Loot and SP Bounties all complete bangers.
I love what DE is doing with this game, Rebb and Pablo are god-like Devs because they actually care and play the game.
Having said all of this Omnia Fissures completely missed the mark in a way that actually baffled me if Im being honest.

Omnia Fissures are higher level than Axi and they are always endless game-modes, they were meant to be the go-to
place for burning Relics, except for the fact Omnia Fissures let me choose from any type. That sounds like a good thing
until you realize 99% of Players running Omnia Relics will be using an Intact Lith. If you want to crack Axi Relics you should
play Axi, if you want to crack Radiant Lith you should play Lith, as it is now Omnia fissures are just not desirable for burning
Relics because every round is completely random. Sure I have like 200 Axi Relics and 100 Radiant Liths to burn but most
Players cant say the same. And people playing on organized Squads will still do Radshares for specific Relic Types anyways.
All of this is reflected in the amount of Players running Omnia Fissures, I havent been able to find a squad in 4/5 Public runs.

I was completely let down when playing these Omnia Fissures because I thought we were going to be able to crack several
Relics at a time like in the glorious days of the Orokin Towers. And because these are always Endless Game-modes we could
have a balanced way of doing it: You select 1 Relic of each Type, you crack all 4 of them every 10 minutes (or every two
Rounds, depending on the game-mode). This way Omnia Fissures become the best way of Burning Relics, but not the best way
for farming Primes because you can't select 4 Axi Radiants, they have to be 1 of each type (maybe it can even include Requiem)

TL;DR: Omnia Fissures are bad because of RNG. No stacked Relics, no incentive to play them over Axi Fissures and Lith Radshares.

Again, thank you for the marvelous update DE, Im loving Dante (not because he is OP but because his Animations are *chef kiss*)
And the Invisibility Slider was something Ive been waiting since I picked Loki as my starter over 10 years ago, also my boy Inaros
is actually good now? What? Keep these reworks coming, I got Inaros Bundle and I will buy ever Deluxe for Reworked Warframes.

  10. This has been fixed! ❤ Thank you so much for updating the game in real time 🙏

Im photophobic, which means bright flashes of light give me migraines.
As soon as the game updated I logged in and played a Netracell run with Gyre
but I was barely able to finish it. I had to log out and give my eyes some rest 😔

Using the Black Color from the Smoke palette on both Energy slots to make
abilities like Gyre's electric discharges from Rotorswell become "invisible" was
the only way for me to play Warframes that produce sudden flashes of light.
Frames like Vauban, Nova, Protea but specially Gyre are difficult for me to use.

But now if I use pitch-black energy color to turn those Visual Effects completely off,
they still keep a faint White or Grey color around the ability. While Rotorswell is active
for example, Gyre is covered in a grey hue and each electric discharge flashes the screen
white, in fact Gyre's roll is a sort of blink that was completely invisible before the update
and now it produces a white flash every time I press shift, as if I was using white energy.

All Warframes I named before are affected, every AoE Weapon I've tested so far
(Zarr. Nataruk, Stahlta) are also affected, so Im pretty sure this is an issue with the
Black color from the Smoke palette not being as pitch black as it used to be.

Please let me make Abilities Invisible again DE, is the only way I can play Gyre 🙏

    Ostarus Headgear
Manifest the joys of blossoming flowers and hopping Rablits in any season.

A new Auxiliary cosmetic will be hopping into the in-game Market on April 3rd @ 2 PM ET! Adorn your Warframe with a pair of floppy ears that are sure to make even the most confident of Rablits jealous.

They feature the tech implemented in our new Kubrow Fur Updates to give them a true fluffy feel.

Unlike its seasonal predecessor (Lepus Headgear), the Ostarus Headgear is a permanent Market item and, once purchased, is yours to wear all year round!

    Note On Seasonal Items:
The Lepus Headgear will continue to return each year to the in-game Market for Credits in its usual time-limited fashion. There are currently no plans to make other seasonal items into upgraded and permanent in-game Market items, but we may reassess that in the future.

DE PLEASE ! Add a Toggle for Seasonal Cosmetics !!!

  12. It's that time again! Bunny Ears are back in season and this time they will be permanent!
That's why Im asking to make ALL Festive Cosmetics Permanent BUT with a Toggle to hide
them for those Players who want to keep their immersion in Warframe's unique aesthetics.

Those are the two QoL changes that must happen in tandem:

    • Make ALL Festive Cosmetics Permanent

    • Add a Toggle option to hide these Cosmetics

I like the Lepus Headgear. I think they're cute. I want to wear them on my Ivara all the time.
But Warframe has several million players, and that means several million differing opinions on the
matter. Some players feel the same way, while others are upset that these festive cosmetics exist in
the first place for various reasons like immersion or whatever. Others players simply don't care, and
some like that these kinds of cosmetics are limited because — for them — it makes the cosmetics feel
"more special". Those are all perfectly valid opinions to hold, and me begging every year for
permanent festive cosmetics would be in poor taste if I didn't account for other player's perspectives.
Because I like festive cosmetics and want them all the time, and because some players never want to
see them ever, we should get a new option relating to these cosmetics.

The 'Hide Festive Cosmetics' option would go in the 'Gameplay' section of the Options menu.

    It would have three settings:

    1. Show Festive Cosmetics: When Appropriate  This is the default setting. You will only see festive cosmetics on other players when they are in season. For example, you will only see the Lepus Headgear or Spring Step Ephemera on other players around Easter and you will only see the Dullahan Mask on other players around Halloween.

    2. Show Festive Cosmetics: Always — Festive cosmetics will always be shown on other players.

    3. Show Festive Cosmetics: Never — Festive cosmetics will never be shown on other players.

Regardless of the setting you choose, your festive cosmetics will always be visible on your screen. For
assets like weapon skins, the default skin would be used if it's out of date: the Ringers and Peppermint
Scythe skins would use whatever weapon model it's equipped on. Assets without a fallback are simply
not loaded in the first place.

This setting would affect the following items:

    • Eros Arrow Skin

    • Lepus Headgear

    • Spring Step Ephemera

    • Dullahan Mask

    • Movember Mustaches

    • Ringers Skin

    • Spearmint Scythe Skin

    • Festive Glaxion Skin

    • Little Helper Hat

    • Eros Wings Ephemera

    • Naberus Wings Ephemera

This setting would not affect the following items:

    • All Towsun skins and cosmetics

    • Naberus shoulder armor

    • All Day Of The Dead skins and cosmetics

    • Festive Frost Skin, Winter Mirage Skin, Festive Imperator
syandana, various holiday Gene Masking Kits

    • All Solstice skins and cosmetics

This separation is for two reasons. Either:

    1. The cosmetic is very silly (Moustaches) or obviously out of place (Little Helper Hat)

    2. The cosmetic isn't all that out of place (Naberus, Festive Imperator Syandana,
Solstice items) or otherwise costs plat (DotD items)

Some common comments I've seen over the years, and my response:

"This is too hard for DE to do/it would take too much effort."

Nonsense. In the Dante Unbound update we will be able to select different aspects for Invisible
Warframes, It's their game, their engine, they can do whatever they want with it. If they want
separately colored Syandanas, or multiple energy colors, or cinematic quests, or open world zones,
or space ships like frickin' Star Citizen, then they can do it. There also exists precedent for the two
technical requirements for such a setting:

    1. The ability to Select Alternate Appearances.
Chroma can hide his pelt when using Effigy, and Khora can selectively toggle her spikes.

    2. The ability to check if today's date lies between two other dates.
Warframe is practically built on timers. There's absolutely no way that DE is unable to
manipulate dates and times to see if an item is in date.

On the topic of effort, DE already has to place all of their new assets anyways. Whether they do it
once a year when the holidays comes around or once when they create the asset makes no difference.

"I don't want to see festive cosmetics outside of the holidays because it makes them less special" and "they're fine the way they are."

The default setting of "When Appropriate" would leave festive cosmetics exactly as special as they
already are. If you don't want to wear them or see them in the off-season, you don't have to! But what
feels special to you doesn't necessarily feel special to someone else. It's subjective, and letting players
choose for themselves will make the most people happy.

"I don't like festive cosmetics and I never want to see them, ever. They're silly and break my immersion."

Then you should support this idea, because by changing "Show Festive Cosmetics" to "Never" you
wouldn't have to see them ever again, even if they're in season! Right now a player can run around
with a giant candy cane and a Santa hat on their dog all year round and there's nothing you can do
    about it.

"I don't want other people to be able to hide my cosmetics."

Too bad! Some people just don't want to see them. Why should you be allowed to break their immersion?
This is a long time coming QoL change for the (arguably) most important aspect
of the game: FashionFrame. And it should be handled with a compromise to both parties:
Those whole like them and those who dont.

TL;DR: Man shouts at company over Bunny Ears for a whole decade.
Make them permanent! but also let people hide them.

By the way, the Bunny Ears are getting a fur rework! This is what they look now 😍

r/Warframe - Rebecca just said the Bunny Ears from the Easter Event will be permanently available. Im so happy for this, but DE should also add a Toggle to hide Festive Cosmetics, this way we can make ALL Festive Cosmetics permanent (Pumpkin Head and Moustaches too!)

  13. Its 2024, Warframe launched on Mobile, with Cross Play and Cross Save but is still using the Peer-to-Peer System

Get ready to see this screen in 90% of the missions you play, too bad DE doesn't have the money to pay for
Dedicated Servers (even tho Warframe is one of the most played and most profitable F2P games on the market)

In fact I think the Brown around his neck and the Orange in the Metallics are
both in the same channel, so the materials will have miss-matched Colors 😔

Don't get me wrong, he looks amazing but he doesn't have the same feel as his Concept Art
He went from having a Leather Robe all around to an Armor and his Beard might be missing

Let me guess, you experienced too many failed host migrations today so you, in this moment of bad mood, went ahead and made this thread?

The Peer-to-Peer System has been serviceable so far but with PC, Consoles,
Switch and Mobile Cross-Play and Cross-Save it will definitely not be.
This is a decade long issue that has been brought up many many times so
no, this is not a moment of "bad mood", actually Im ecstatic with Warframe
surpassing CS:GO on Steam, like Im literally very happy about this.
Im posting this now because Im a 10 year player who plans on sticking around
one more decade (if possible). I truly love Warframe and Digital Extremes.

So in this moment of record profits, Im suggesting something that
would truly show how respected and loved Warframe's Community is:
    - The Patch that would end Host Migration

Regardless of any of this, a Multi-Platform, Cross-Play and Cross-Save Coop Game
in 2024 should not, under any circumstances, use the Peer-to-Peer Systems, specially
when the developers have the budget for hosting their own Dedicated Servers.

Servers are not even that expensive and Warframe is already partitioned in Regions
you can change in the Settings, this could be done gradually or even optionally.

    As I said: Peer-to-Peer is a MASSIVE issue for a Co-op game
that can be played (and thus hosted) on ANY platform, this
was bearable until now, once Mobile launches it will not be

Is this a problem that can be fixed? Yes
Does DE have the money to fix it? Yes

If there was a moment to ask for Dedicated Servers, it is right now
