  1. Wow, this was a long read. For comprehension purposes and flow of idea progression, you really should consider breaking it down into sections. And that is the issue with the thought in general. It's not a rework you are essentially proposing; it's not even invasive surgery. This idea is a compete gut of the game systems. The dev's would have to literally throw out years of work to implement much of this. And proposing it all as a massive dissertation only serves to make it easier to balk at your ideas, many of which are based on legitimate concerns.

From your posts, it seems you are asking yourself "why are the player base playing this game, and what happens going forward, with current patterns of content releases". Based on the answers you have come up with, you then built an impressive total package overhaul concept. But how are you certain you are correct in your base assumptions? Personally, my gameplay here is not driven by the next widget on a check list. Yes, that is a feature of the game, and yes, I like expanding my build options with new foozles, but it's not at the core of the game for me. A radical overhaul to change that system would not fix the long term gaming issues for me. Before we go demanding the de's put this horse out of its misery, it might be helpful to poll the player base on:

What do you find rewarding about warframe?

    What do you find frustrating?

What content do you most want?

What would you like to see implemented in a different way in the game?

  2. So far I've been underwhelmed, but plenty of gear don't come in to their own till you have a chance to work on them. The pure electrical diagramed base could make it a beast with all the ways in game to improve that type.

  3. While running a two man T1 void capture, we chased down and caught the first target, after which the way point indicator disappeared, the mission objective waypoint to the exit did not appear, and Lotus continued to speak as if thee target was still in the mission. We searched the whole level, without luck, both escape chambers the targets run too were open and accessible to us. Eventually we had to abort, as the exit chamber would not work for us.

    Anyone else have this happen?

  4. It is my understanding that there are mods to help with that.

@remitevji, missed the ability to reply sorry.

Yeah, I think I Forma'd mine once, but I have always preferred the Paris, or the Vectis, so I have more in those, and I have been wanting to take out the soma again, but I didn't want to forma something that fills a nitch roll in my arsenal, but now my Paris Prime does that, so..

I love my Paris, and am working it toward its third forma trip. My clan mate and I have a blast doing bow and knives stealth runs. I haven't forma'd my Vectis yet, but it's a real standout sniper. It is high on my list to work on.

  5. Um. Make up your mind. Is your issue here that Soma was scaled back, or that you feel the dev team gave you a personal promise and later went back on it? They reserve that right in the terms of service, and we are in beta, after all.

I'm not crying that the weapon is useless, and I'm not crying bloody murder that everything is better now.

I'm pointing out the issue they lied :c

  6. The man does speak in a bizarre whisper. And the image for him seems at odds with that voice. The voice seems like the kind you'd expect the Stalker to have. But with what he actually says, I don't know, it sounds like this guys personally wants Alad out of the way. Alad has to be desperate to try using infested as a weapon. That's a genie I don't think he can put back all nice and neat.

  7. Plans change. Expecting the dev's to hold to a plan of action you personally preferred, in the face of them doing their best to provide balanced content and the large number of players who felt soma too powerful, what exactly do you expect? Life is messy. Your argument is naive at best and petulant at worst.

  8. How is it a copy-paste of Synapse if it came months before Synapse?

How is it a copy-paste of either when it functions completely differently?

OT: No. I think Tesla's mechanics are fine as is. Each orb ensures that a nearby enemy is stunlocked for 40 seconds. With a base 1500 potential electrical damage per ball, Tesla really doesn't need changing at all.

I also cannot begin to express my disgust for "rapidly consumes energy while you're unable to move and vulnerable". A "1" ability should never rapidly consume energy, and no ability should ever render you "unable to move and vulnerable".

Have to agree. Vauban's's skills are well implanted and preform functions no other frame can do. It not only makes little sense to change up skills that work just fine as is, I don't see how that proposed change would improve anything. Also, the op is rather difficult to parse, so maybe I'm misreading the intent? But synapse and volt are only similar to the tesla skill in that the are or have electricity based damage options.

  9. not everyone that plays Warframe goes on the forums so they're missing out on this information that isn't in game

Well, I suppose there is such a thing as willful ignorance, since the forums are promoted from within the game, players that choose not to read the posts would also not know basic things like how event rewards are awarded. It's not unreasonable to expect the player base to put some effort into following the information provided. Furthermore, if you can read the description on the new helms and still not clue in to their statless nature, well, you have bigger issues at work.

  10. Avalanche has three parts to it. First it staggers within it's range, then freezes, the delivers the damage. His casting animation should be continuing through all this.

There shouldn't be a window during its effects where you can move around, let alone melee.

  11. I have to vote for the Tenno.

Master chief is a bland Everyman who stumbles through his missions bullet sponging his way through. He lacks a mobility advantage, and his tech magically changes to suit his needs. Technobabble to the rescue. Few pages back there was a mention of mc kicking alien butt on a planet with 10x earth gravity?! Um. People black out from much less pressure. Not to mention the question of how the man's heart and lungs would be able to function under that kind of pressure. Unless he has a magic gravity nullifying suit. But that's the problem with master chief. He is the hero among a bunch of red shirt characters. He always lives, even when he should die on the proverbial Normandy beach. The narrative of his game universe requires that he survive.

And his story line (in game) is awful. Please, how the hell does his pet "sexy" ai hack an alien computer? What, did they just rip off Independence Day?

So, if it's a fair match up, MC has to just be another spartan in the crowd. And what happened to all the others? Oh yeah, they promptly died. Because that makes MC special and unique. So Mc does have special powers, everyone around him dies, and he gets to live.

  12. That's some good advice FoxFX. He is right, if you bladestorm into a toxic cloud, you can easily shred yourself, since you are not immune to that effect during. Smoke cloud has offensive and defensive uses, and is the skill I use most. Personally I find teleport a bit tricky to use. One thing to remember about blade storm is that the radius of the effect is based on the initial target's position, not yours. That makes it very unique among 4th skills, and with a stretch mod, you can make pretty excellent use of it.

Since Ash lacks spam able area skills for taking out mobbing infestation, it's usually a good idea to give him a good area of effect melee. I often use orthos with him for infestation. The other good option is the use smoke screen and make quick work of them while your damage is amped.

  13. Ok, my standard Ash build is to enhance his already solid durability and mobility. So health and shield mods, stamina, a focus and continuity to have him hit harder and cloak longer, and the last slot usually has either a mod I'm testing out, or something that relates to what missions I'm running. For an aura I usually use the rifle amp, for def missions with infested I may switch to a melee build.
