  1. It took a lot of work, but when I finally put my Dakra into production, that was one of the best moments of satisfaction in this game to date. I love it's design, it's speed and multihit ability please me no end. I am however a bit undecided on what sort of build to use. Since I'm not a fan of the rainbow element builds, I"ve been using an abc build for each main enemy type, with the damage vs and element matched as best I can (elect for corpus, fire for infested). What do other people use?

  2. What I think might be fun is a series of archeology style event missions, where Tenno search derelict orokin ships to retrieve and download data stores, and fill in the missing knowledge. We all woke up without memories, right? Wouldn't it be fun to win back a few fragments? How did the Grineer begin? What was this enemy that golem was built to fight? What Are the Orokin? Are Tenno Orokin themselves? Did we serve them? Fight them? Could they return as well?

  3. "To be specific, we will not impose a backstory on *your* Warframe. Its more about how did that 'design' come about, what inspired its design in the Orokin era, historical context about its function. Not 'Become Bob the Warframe, who loves potato chips and long walks on the beach.' More like reading a wiki entry on Greek Fire, how it was used, what was interesting about than a bio."  - Steve, Oct, 28th 2013, Design Council

Mag, Ember, Excalibur, and the rest are not your personal names, but the names of the suit you wear. In much the same that someone pilots a Zakau II Gundam or an Atlus Battlemech, you "pilot" your Warframe.

As far as gender goes, I think it's reasonable to assume that you're not playing as just one tenno, but that you're playing as various tenno who were trained to use their respective Warframe.

I have to agree, that seems the simplest answer, but for the complete lack of evidence supporting it. But it is what I generally think when making my frames builds. I treat them as separate individuals, even tend to use gear specifically for certain frames.

  4. The problem with the idea that we the players are each one Tenno, who own and use multiple frames, is why the gender bending and apparent personality changes? I admit that given the dark sector connection it should be possible for a Tenno to change from a bulky male to a skinny female, but why?

  5. It does seem inconsistent and confusing. I tend to believe that most of the faction in Warframe are post human, with the grinder being the most clearly explained. It's my theory that most of the corpus and certainly all the corpus in game right now, are basically Waldos. Remotely operated by beings like Alad V. Ever notice that corpus suits on racks seem to have bodies in them? And the name itself means body in Latin. The Tenno seem to have separate personalities, I agree with the above poster on that. Could the driving consciousness be separate from the frame's personality? The Grineer seem to see the warframes as suits that are worn. That kind of implies that you might more properly as a player be guiding a squad of individual Tenno. But the recent Zanuka project trailer shows Mag getting ripped apart. Why rip both suit And Tenno apart unless Alad either needed both for the project or they are not separate things at all?

  6. I would say that it would be nice to see his shield benefit from more mods, and now that the animations for overload have been changed (improved I think) I think limiting Volts vulnerability to to the pre discharge animations might be nice compromise. Shock doesn't do a ton of damage, but throwing out a barrage of them still seems fairly effective, and I want to wait till armor 2.0 to start throwing out too many tweak and nerf suggestions. At least it's clear and fair to say Volt is a frame lots of people like and enjoy playing.

  7. I'm not sure that the fact that speed and shield serve different functions is a drawback. It simply makes him more versatile in his utility. Most frames have non complimentary utility skills, or at least skills that aren't used together. Loki is an obvious exception. I frequently use Ash and Mag, and only rarely do I even use teleport or bullet attractor. They aren't broadly applicable enough. But volt has skills for every season. Getting out of Phobos sabotage missions is a hell of a lot easier with speed. And shield sees use everywhere from corridor sniping to boss fights to shielding you while raising a fallen ally. I think the fact that half his skills are utility makes the in game description misleading, But I don't feel that it makes him a broken frame.
