  1. Don't think it matters what the op's gender is, but it's hard to refer to someone with pronouns correctly not knowing the gender in English. Calling someone it is not exactly polite. But it seems we've all had fun debating the issue, we should probably wrap this thread up soon.

  2. Ha! Primed, to kill! I like it. I certainly have wondered how the corrupted became so, and if the neural sentry doesn't actually depend on a 1:1 invader to converted corrupted ratio, it would better explain how towers are so well stocked with fodder.

I had initially imagined a great spidery piece of Orokin tech, prowling the halls and converting intruders to corrupted in a more visceral manner, but I do like these ideas of... A neural hacker hi jacking intruders and suborning enemies into allies.

  3. Do you remember which live stream referenced Lotus as an ai, Tiger?

If the Lotus is in fact an ai, then was she programmed, by whom, and for what purpose? Is she still serving that purpose? Can she be subverted? Is she truly on our side?

  4. Mission control and tactician / hacker perhaps.

Notices how, in missions, closed, red doors never open but the path to the objective is the only path opened up in advance with a few checkpoints needing Tenno to trigger the doors manually. I'm guessing she's the one having those doors open from insertion to objective then to extraction. Closed red doors could be, however, where additionnal enemy personnel could spawn from then follow into the open doors in chase.

Also, it's been alluded to that "The Lotus" might actually a group wherein the one interacting with us is merely a part of.

I like this idea that the mission path is at least partly defined by the Lotus hacking open our path! that makes her a partner, actively working to seal off enemies and channel us to our target.
  5. One of the really popular theories is that the Lotus is an Ai, who knows, this could be true

I'm hoping Stalker has an evil version of Lotus that tells him what to do/who to kill =p

(Could be voiced by Megan instead. Pit them against each other sorta, lol)

That's an interesting question! How does the stalker choose his targets? He makes comments that imply he is not acting alone. Is there a shadow Lotus? Could it possibly be the Same lotus, as in the above poster OriVerda's theory?

  6. I like to think there is an actual person behind the lotus. Among her other tasks, she guides our mastery rank initiations. That suggests to me she is somehow a fundamental part of Tenno culture. But she also feels like she cannot make choices for us, as with the gradivus dilemma. So she is not our leader. Did she also awaken in a cryopod?

It's possible she is a warframe using Tenno like the rest of us, I suppose. I heard one person claim she's a corpus defector, trying to bring back an ancient order to change the status quo of her time, though I don't personally evidence for that.

  7. One of the big mysteries of the game so far is the world our Tenno wake up to. It's hostile, it's full of factions that want us dead, or worse. And in all of this we have the Lotus, guiding us and supporting us, but who is this?

I'd love to read people's personal theories, speculation, and ideas on the Lotus, her role, her background, how she relates to us Tenno.

  8. I got the impression, that there was a ritual aspect to Alad's referencing the void. A "and now I shall consign your cursed soul to the void" type of line. It's confusing because the void could also mean the Orokin void, or, less plausibly, the interstellar void. I admit this impression is largely conjecture on my part, but I read his two void comments as a fancy way of saying, "gelfling, you die!" Some support for this thought is there in how he uses it the second time, telling the Tenno squad he will send them to the void personally.

  9. The Tenno operatives... It's not at all clear what they are. They could BE Tenno. Or they could be operating on our behalf.

, and be some form of Tenno sympathizer, perhaps disillusioned corpus or the unseen but conjectured colonists? Personally I think there is too little information on the operatives to use them as support or evidence in our discussion here.
