  1. I've been put together with two newbies (exacalibur+loki)... first i considered hitting the quit button, but actually it was kinda fun, killing everything all alone out of the tunnel, while the other two hid behind me.

survived with my trinity and latron prime only for maybe half a hour, then couldn't kill the heavies fast enough.

a trinity gives so much survivability to the whole team...

edit: surviving 45min is nearly impossible; long before, they stop dropping O2

  2. just because a weapon is hard to get, it doesn't imply that it's uber.

if the supra isn't powerful enough for you, change to another weapon.

there are plenty of nice guns. only a few are armor ignoring, but eventually almost every single one is good enough for making your way to outer terminus. for high level defense you probably have to switch to sth else... but if i remember correctly, armor issues will be reworked, so i'd consider waiting for a while.

there shouldn't be a single superweapon. if designed perfectly, they are all on one level - more or less - and only differ in various types and behavior.

  3. The same discussion as every year, James.

I could say Warframe IS the endgame!

And I could suggest some sort of real hardcore/infinite missions that grow harder every room you clear or every minute. The infinite version would be about how far you will be able to advance into this maelstrom and rise your flag there for anyone tough enough to make it to your position. A game about distance record.

The hardcore version could use nightmare modificators for a real tough elimination+boss scenario, with the boss dropping some specials like temporary alternate warframe/weapon skins, alternate skill animations (as mods) and other harmless fluff. But for that scenario the enemies have to become much more intelligent, maybe like those F.E.A.R. replica. I liked them, acting in groups, taking cover, supporting teammates and sneaking up into your back.

What happened there, can anybody explain? I started a regular Kiste game and ended up hosting a game for maybe 16-20 Tenno. After we successfully defended the artifact (it was close!), I got the host redirection syndrome and suddenly had to run to the exit all alone. :(

Edit: wrong forum -.- please push to the bug report forum

  5. usually i let the pod drop to 10-20% before i intercept. then i join the heroes, leaning back and mumbling "well, this might be a quick defeat." anyway i'll have a great time. if they manage to keep the pod alive beyond wave 10, i consider taking part again; obviously they aren't THAT stupid and could need help. ^^

  6. Granted, this is a game where we fight as space ninjas using abilities that borders on fantasy with a dose of Jedi put in for good measure...

... But consider that the sun's temperature is around 5500 C (which is enough to melt the metal right off any craft that happens to pass by even at several tens of thousand kilometers, emits enough radiation to burn you to a cellular level in outer space without protection from a distance equal to the Earth's (and on the surface? Said protections would be completely worthless) AND that the generated light from the sun will make it completely impossible to see anything for the short time your retinas will actually see something before they're burned out...

Yeah, there's also no tactical advantage to have a 'solar outpost' on the sun, even if that was remotely possible, given the above matters and the fact that you'd be surrounded on all sides by planets that 'do' have outposts on them.

I'd rather try my luck with a black hole since while it's pretty much a gravity well, we still don't know what would happen IF it could be survived. The sun? Pretty certain we can all agree that's instant combustion.

a "black hole" is nothing but a (solid!) singularity with a critical mass, that bends space to the max. its event horizon will (and does) rip everyting apart not only to cellular, but to nuclear levels. i dont know which way to die is more comfortable... ^^
