In my opinion, instead of giving a fixed number of bullets, why not ammo pick ups that give +10% ammo? Or +1 magazine?

 

How it is currently just doesn't feel thought out. Then again, I could be totally wrong.

I think that the +1 magazine idea would be pretty good, weapons that have bad ammo economy would have a bit extra ammo but still would burn through it pretty quickely.

to me its a difference between accuracy and power

sure they both are semi-auto weapons but the one is a hit scan weapon and the other shoots projectiles with drop, travel time, and a bit of firing randomness.

aklato

pros: hitscan, faster rate of fire, easier to acquire(you only need credits)

cons: lower effective damage(no armor ignore)

 

akbolto

pros: greater effective damage(armor ignore)

cons: lower rate of fire, harder to acquire, inaccurate at longer ranges(travel time, drop, firing randomness)

[Burston High Recoil - Disappointed :/]

With the burston is seems that it has a variable rate of fire I have noticed that sometimes there will be a long time between bursts an other times the time between bursts will be shorter and the burst seems to be put out at a faster rate of fire that normal.

if you want a weapon that can kill grineer quickly I would suggest the fang because it is good and easy to craft

true but it looks like it is a very good weapon if mastered also it was the only primary that I could craft with the resources that I have and I didn't want to get the braton because it's its too commonly used.

they need to change it so that it comes out from between the two rails and they also need to add some energy surge thing in between the rails when it fires.

I think that his argument is that if someone rushes past you and leaves you to deal with all the enemies and gets to extraction far before you that A) you are not necessary be able to kill all the enemies, especially on higher levels, and B). you won't be able to make it to the extraction thus mission out on mission bonuses. 

Basically it think what he it trying to say is that people who rush, with these especially,  tend to have fun at the expense of people who at the expense of those who don't just go for speed runs

just because a weapon is meant to  be used to farm xp and advance in rank doesn't mean that it should be really bad, sure it could be sub-par to give an additional challenge but it should at least be able to be used in mid-high levels

Another interesting idea would be a air burst grenade launcher similar to the XM-25, you could mark targets and the grenades would explode near them for area damage
