  1. From what I found, Heavy caliber is terrible for the Latron Prime. Since it has a 2.5x crit multiplier, crit head shots do a lot more damage than regular shots, even if they are crit body shots. Even with just a half ranked or so Heavy Caliber, I find that I'm missing a lot of body shots let alone the head shots. If you can get a crit head shot with a slash proc, the procs will tick for 1k - 2.5k. While the crit head shots hit for 10k-15k, I think it was, on a level 115 Heavy Gunner. It takes about 12 - 15 rounds to kill the level 115 Heavy Gunner.

What I've found to be the best is just the standard stuff, Serration and Split Chamber, the two crit mods, shred for punch through and fire rate, then elemental mods. You can use either two 90% elements and one 60% for status or two 60% status mods and one 90%. I never formaed my Latron Prime enough to take all three 90% element mods, but I like the extra status because corrosive procs really helps make the Grineer easier to kill. That's why using two 60% status mods with one 90% element is about the same as using two 90% elements and one 60% status if you are fighting Grineer and have the element set to corrosive.

I haven't found a way to make this gun any better than what I've said above, and I've been using this gun forever. Like, it's been mainly the only weapon I've been using ever since I got it those many years ago. >.>  More fire rate doesn't help me because this gun really depends on crit head shots, so I don't fire at the full fire rate unless they are up close. The new +crit mods on head shots and +crit multiplier on kill, from what I found in the simulacrum, is still about the same number of shots to kill a level 115 Heavy Gunner as what I have because I have to sacrifice an element mod for the crit. Plus, it only applies when you're aiming. With the above average zoom on the Latron series, it gets pretty hard to aim on enemies that are close in an actual mission. I don't get the benefit of the mod all the time, so I choose not to use it.

I missions, I do most of my killing with the Latron Prime because Mag can't do crud to the Grineer (Yet!). I usually end up with about 20% head shot kills in stuff like survival and defense, unless I'm doing Corpus sorties and I need to use Shield Polarize to just nuke stuff. All in all, this is a good gun and my favourite by far judging by how much I use it, but it does really have a hard fall off as the enemies scale up. As soon as you need an extra bullet to kill something, you just lost half the amount of enemies you can kill in a single clip. I would say it's still good for Grineer up to the 80s to 90s. Maybe slightly lower if there is a lot of enemies. It can still do ok for slightly higher levels if you are only fighting a few enemies at a time though. This thing just doesn't kill that fast when they are so high level.

Maybe some one can come up with a better way to build the Latron Prime, but this is what I can come up with. If you have the Latron Wraith, it's a pretty good side grade. I do like the Latron Prime more for the higher base damage and the fact that I don't really make use of the extra fire rate of the Latron Wraith much. Also the Latron Wraith chews more ammo because of the higher fire rate and lower base damage.

  2. You're not really invisible. They just don't shoot you out of courtesy to let you think you're invisible. =P

But seriously, enemies on ramparts are kind of buggy. I've seen them just flip 180 degrees and start shooting me sometimes. Another time I saw its aim jump between people while it's shooting. This may be due to lag though.

  3. You don't have to defend both. It's just that defending both gives you more rewards. If you have two alive at the end of 5 waves, you get two rewards.

If you only focus on defending one, it will be like any other defence. You get one reward every 5 waves. The only problem I can see is that the life of those ships don't scale with enemy level, so high level enemies can end up one shotting the ship, like what happens in excavation missions.

  4. Mag's my favourite and most used as well. I've been playing for three years and my total play time for Mag and Mag Prime is above 85%. :S I should probably start playing all the other frames just sitting in my foundry.

  5. They increases the drop rate for eggs by a whole lot a couple of updates ago, so beginners doing the Kubrow quest won't spend forever trying to get an egg. It is normal to find one or more eggs in a mission now. Although you can still only carry one at a time unless you get extra eggs from alerts or events.

  6. I created a little guide on how to link warframe to Steam without redownloading it again. You can give a try if you want. It's basically what I'm doing to see the Tennogen stuff because I don't want to redownload. When running "Steam" Warframe I use to get a pop up that says Warframe is already running, but when I clicked ok/close it would just run Warframe normally. I haven't seen that pop up in a while, so I don't know what changed.

  7. Are there any plans to rework the Bursa? Currently, Corpus missions are basically just fighting Bursas back to back, especially if playing solo. Plus, they are extremely frustrating enemies due to their mechanics and you can fight multiple or them at a time. It's not because they are hard, but because they have little to no weakness, have the most CC in game, and do enough damage to instantly kill you when they are level 35 or so. In other words, they just aren't fun enemies to play against in their current iteration.

Me at the end of an exterminate missions, while Bursas and Scrambus/Combas keep spawning, which means I can't extract:

  8. I completely agree with you. The current iteration of the Bursa/Riot Moas aren't hard to fight against. They are just annoying and very frustrating. In a solo exterminate mission on Neptune, I spent around 75% of the time just killing Bursas and Scrambus/Comba enemies.

The Bursas have an infinite amount of CC with the tools/abilities they were given, can one shot you at level 30-40 if you get close to mid range (the red one can kill you from much further away because the rockets home into you), and the moment you jump over the Moa to shoot the back, it has already turned around to face you. The only real option I had was to sit very very far away where it can't one shot me and slowly chip away at it, but the fact that it can regenerate thousands or even tens of thousands of shield points in a very short amount of time makes it nearly impossible to kill. I leave it for 10 seconds or so and all the health it lost has become shields and all the shields it lost are now full. I can spend all 555 shots of a fully modded Latron Prime and still not kill one of them if I'm just trying use brute force and kill it from the front. If I didn't have Mag removing all of it's shields every time it regenerated it's shields and Bullet Attractor to keep me safe and help me do enough damage to its back panel, I probably wouldn't have gotten anywhere in the mission.

Then there's the problem with the respawn rate of these Bursas. It takes me so long to kill one by myself sometimes, that a second Bursa would spawn or it would spawn a Scrambus/Comba enemy because apparently these two types of enemies are on respawn timers and are not part of the number of enemies in a mission. Almost every time I kill a Bursa, it would just spawn another before I can even get to the next room. Killing the last Bursa on the map and waiting for it to die so I can extract will spawn another Bursa or Scrambus/Comba. Thus forcing a never ending exterminate mission if I don't kill them fast enough.

Hopefully these issues gets addressed soon because these units aren't hard to play against, they are just frustrating. The only real option right now is to use hard CC to completely stop them and shoot a few clips into the panel.

  9. All this will probably change soon because Scott has said that she will be getting 4 "new" abilities with her rework. Whether these "new" abilities are a combination of reworked old ones and new ones or completely new is to be seen, but he did say that he will give us a preview or tell us about it during the next dev stream, which is this Friday.

  10. Basically, in a video about AI in video games I watched some time ago, one point that was stressed as important was to not have the enemy backtrack. The reason being that it is not fun when you run behind an enemy just to have him turn around an alert every one. It doesn't happen all too often, but it certainly does happen a few times every mission.

    Video I'm referring to:

Also, the Ballistas whistling while on patrol was a nice touch.

  11. Fastest way should be to put the fuel cell back into the reactor to get the meltdown.

    Reasons:

    • Putting cold cell into reactor makes you defend the reactor before leaving
    • Putting the fuel cell into the Cryo tubes make you defend the console and travel back and make another trip to the cryo rooms
    • Putting the fuel cell into the reactor causes it to meltdown. All you have to do is shoot the things that pop out and leave. It gives you a 2-3 mins timer before the mission fails.

Having multiple people helps. You can split off and each get a cryo cell, while one person waits for the fuel cell to drop. The fourth person will go find the console that unlocks the blast door.

I think that should be the fastest, but I've only done it solo. Maybe there are faster ways.

  12. In the first one, I thought that was blood on the table clothe at first, then I saw the bottle. Good job on the drawings.

As a side note, you can just put all pictures in one post instead of making four separate ones. I thought you kept adding more to your own thread and no one has replied in a long time.  <.< That is until I looked at what time you made your posted.

  13. If you want details on what each stance does, then the wiki is your best option. http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/WARFRAME_Wiki

    Shimmering Blight: http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Shimmering_Blight

    Bleeding Willow: http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Bleeding_Willow

It gives you details like the damage multiplier and procs of certain hits in the combo. There are stances that people say are just better because of multipliers and such, but I say either choose what you feel is a better stance or look up the details in the wiki and make a choice based on that.

  14. I'd like to see new stuffs, not only fixing, but it seems like DE more concerns about visual part of warframe, at least you can see it from steve posts. I'd would like to see more ingame changes, like their intention of "Reducing of grind" which only get worse with every new update and introduced resource

Many things are being worked on behind the scenes. The stuff that goes on Twitter and other social media is mainly eye candy or major release information to get people excited. Spamming people with pointless information like, "We fixed bug#1234" or "Nailed bug#abcd" is boring and not useful to the masses.

Also, if you actually looked at the links, you will see that Steve is saying that Grandmaster J has been the one who is really driving this forward. Steve may not even be directly involved for all I know, but this just popped up on his Twitter, which means he probably has his hand in it a little bit, among other things.

If you want to talk about in game changes to mechanics and such, join a feedback thread that is actually relevant to what you're saying or create your own and post there. I see no reason for you to complain here.

  15. I checked Steve's Twitter today and saw some very nice smoke physics he's been working on. The link to what I'm talking about is below. Go check it out if you haven't seen it yet. Hopefully this won't impact performance too bad. I can see this being very useful in selling the whole ship is on fire missions or the upcoming sabotage 2.0 missions.
