  1. lol a Melta gun sounds good too. Abit of a rip off from Warhammer 40k though dont you think? its not like we have rocket launching machine guns. Even the "Boltor" just shoots spears, or spikes or whatever you want to call them to impale people, and what power axe?

  2. generic would be like Browser, or Sephiroth... Remember we are Tenno we are more like villains then heros. If anything a Boss would be the complete opposite of generic... They wouldnt be plain or ordinary... they wouldnt be silent either, nor silly like Vor, Tyl, or the Jackal... just very unique. I doubt the Overlord type bosses though... even if you were the villain even the bosses were silly... and the game was more for comedy then serious stuff. So from a villains perspective. A boss would talk alot, show chivalry or honor in the face of a cold blooded killer or a group of them. A Tenno that went bad would have gone the heros path more then likely, like the movie "The Warrior's Way"

  3. The alerts need to be MORE unique and MORE dynamic something... different... Like random enemies! Two factions in one dungeon to mix things up, or something like that time in Dead Space 2 where a giant tentacle grabs you and throws you out in space and then you have to work your way back inside. Just something random to throw us off.

  4. Weird story but true. I was playing in Caloris in the Mercury system right. When it started everything was on fire meaning Lotus gave the whole "this ship is self destructing" speech so there is fire everywhere right? The mission is exterminate so yeah thats something fun to do. However there is a problem... All the enemies ran into the fire and... 1. Alerted themselves therefore they turned the alarm on to lockdown because they were on fire 2. They all ran into the fire and I watched the enemy counter count down faster then a Tenno can kill grineer... and I mean wow... I dont know if its AI? or if the mines werent made to be on fire, but I liked the result lol. Problem is 1. less exp 2. hard to see 3. How on earth are the grineer without mask breathing? Then again they were dieing all over the place so they were suffocating maybe anyway. Anyone else have this odd experience of basicly Hell for grineers, and heaven for Tenno?

  5. Yeah Tyl by far had the poorest of all the insults... I dont even know if that was an insult since I was fighting him solo lol. However A Tenno gone bad does not seem the type to play that mercenary role. Why do I say this? Ever played Armored Core? it was a nest of Mercs. Those guys were so looney I was surprised they werent used in Metal Gear Solid. No see THOSE GUYS are INSANE and die all the time. The difference between a crazy mech pilot merc and a silent Tenno is that Tenno are silent... they dont talk back... they arent picky if Lotus says mow my lawn a Tenno ill do it. If you told a mech pilot mow my lawn he would look at you like you as if you have lost your mind. Just about any Merc Organization in any game has had crazy people that are just plain out there. In Warframe we know Tenno use methods that are over the top extreme, and way too damn serious. Lotus is scary... the warframe users are scary... Mercs in anime, and MGS are either wacky or insane, or something beyond even reason like in Killer 7. To many examples to compare. All we know Tenno ARE the players. Outside of the team that goes in to take things, or Lotus. The warframe users are players, and the game has us with a mindset of finding the best way to kill in any way possible. A bad Tenno cannot happen. Even if the scenario of my first post occured, that tenno wouldnt live long enough to rebel in he first place. They would hesitate and get killed. If Tenno do go bad and are successful I dont even think a Warframe user (player) is sent after them... Infact I am sure if the Tenno really are a special army that shows up during times of great war there is going to be an elite special force amoungst the Warframe users that act as Generals, or Executioners. They would be sent to kill them not us. Even Lotus I am sure has some form of Elite special force Vanguard sitting around somewhere. I am sure she is relatively safe where ever she may be.

  6. Why do I think a Tenno gone rouge would be bad? Think about it. If Tenno as they are now are cold blooded assassins. Take orders without question, prevent humans from being cured. Then a rouge Tenno would be everyones worst nightmare. How you ask? 1.A tenno would immeditly be considered a boss character since they are very strong. 2. All bosses talk 3. a Rouge tenno would be very talkative----------- How does this sound bad? Ever watched Gundam? psh yeah... imagine a peace talker yammering on about "KILLING IS WRONG" "WHY DO YOU KILL" morales, life, etc... And then the nonsense goes on and on and on... Seriously if youve ever heard Kira or Amuro talk thats what you get from a rouge Tenno a Whiney cry baby. Which may make you want to kill him/her more. Just saying if thats what you want a boss that whines worse then a grineer, or corpus robot then that is what your going to get.

  7. speaking of Ember and flamethrowers they shouldve given her an ability that lets you hold the ability button for a stream of fire to come out while draining energy down the longer you held it. Could be the answer to the flamethrower issue, then again I want to see Rhino carry a flamethrower into battle. A full team of Rhinos with flamethrowers against infestation. A dream come true.

  8. I see nail guns, I see anime weapons, I see bows. You know what I don't see? A Flamethrower being mentioned on the forum (I even searched it). Think about it. Infestation problem? No problem burn it all. Space marines ganging up on you with close range weapons? Burn them all. Robots being a pain? Burn them for the hell of it. Seriously though... FIRE. Its the most basic thing ever. Heck we stick it in our weapons, and Ember goes around lobbing the stuff as it is. A flame thrower would just be perfect. However I imagine since it is a weapon it will have mods added to it like other elements. In that case I guess it would have to be reworked into a special kind of weapon that can spew out cyrogenic freezing blast kinda like the stuff used to freeze warts. Hell of a day when your freeze burned. Then when you add lightning I guess it could spew out an electrical storm (kinda like a Blue dragon from D&D which still looked weird in NWN)? Still... flamethrower... gotta have it. An swarm of enemies in a hallway+flamethrower= best day ever.

  9. He means as a faction of some sort. I saw it too right under the other faction kill counts there is an "other". Suddenly I am reminded of Lovecraft how they always speak of the "other". I also noticed boss kill count never goes up even though I killed jackal twice, vor several times, and the general once, even a hyena. Yet still no update on the boss kills.

  10. Best weapons depends on style. Personally for me the power of the Boltor, and rapid fire of the Afuris, combined with the fastest AND strongest sword in the game the Cronus has been my best bet for mowing down enemies with great speed. However I suggest using a Mod to increase the max ammo on Afuris if you plan to use it, and Boltor its strongly suggested you put the right elements in it for each mission or it just wont do maximum justice. However if your into power, then the HEK works great at close range just increase its clip and have fun, plus add as much damage as possible so each blast makes a difference, a BIG DIFFERENCE.
