Yeah, it's kinda wierd, regardless which is the "primary" damage type, any weapon can inflict any status effect, as long it deals that type of damage. Which status effect triggers is random apparently.
Regarding visuals for status effects, it's like this:
When using your weapon sometimes you hear a metallic "CLANG", that means a status effect was triggered, if you pay close attention to damage numbers there is an icon telling you which effect was it, though the icon may be hidden underneath other numbers.
Fire/Cold/Electricity don't work like before, what used to effect every enemy is now a status effect that has a low chance of happening
Regarding visual effects, haven't seen all yet but this is what I know:
Impact staggers enemies
Puncture makes enemies glow green/grey
Slash is kinda hard to see, but they start bleeding
Fire sets enemies on fire, just like before
Cold slows down enemies, just like before
Blast makes a small flash and knocks down enemies in a small radius around the enemy that triggered the status.
Magnetic and Radiation are hard to tell apart, they both have a bluish/grey glow.

I agree, either buff them, or make them cheap so they are worth using.

Their harpoon has decent range but can be dodged, I don't recommend running directly at them or away from them.
Also aiming down sights makes you slow and easy to hit, if surrounded avoid using it unless you really need to.

The new multithreading hotfix broke the game for me. If I have it enabled, the game just freezes on the initial loading screen; the loading bar doesn't move or anything and I have to kill the program in Windows Task Manager. The game loads fine if I disable the feature.
I'm using an AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 Ghz processor with 8GB RAM and a GTX 660.
EDIT: I should add that the multithreading worked fine before the last update and I did verify the download cache and it didn't help.
Huh, have the exact same CPU, 8GB of ram and HD 2600XT, game runs just fine for me.

I thought about making a long thank you comment, but at the moment the words just fail me.
So I'll make it simple.
Thank you.

From what I hear, this bug has been around for a while, happened three times to me in the last day.

The token system is awesome and I would love to see it implemented. My only problem is with the number of tokens requiered, in my opinion they could be a liitle higher.

I've been running Kril, Nef and Ruk for the past two weeks, and they simply refuse to give me systems bp for their frames. Stingy A******s.

Magnets, how do they work?

or simply press H
Have you tried reading the original post?
Problem is that when switching viewpoints, characters don't switch weapon hands. Also considering how bullet trajectory works in this game it can mess up your aim.

When using Dark Dagger with my Rhino the normal attack animations kinda twitch/stutter near the end, like a few frames of animation are out of place.

This is a leftover before all the wonderfull apps came along (shakes walking stick), before you had to wait for someone else to complete the mission and then write about it on the forums. It will be updated eventually.

Can Arthur grab Excalibur by the ankles and swing him around?

Great suggestions, one thing to add, it would be nice to have quick info on croshairs. Basically two little bars that show health/shields.

Well, the rank 6 challenge, the Lotus tells you they will test your marksmanship and then the camera locks pointing at the shiny white ball.
It's not rocket science.
Something must have changed then, didn't do that when I took that challenge, that was a friggin nightmare to complete.
But yeah, some sort of trial run would be nice, maybe have some sort of... "holodeck" at the Dojo where you can see/practice the test.
I personally would like to retake tests for ranks 1-5, when I first took them, these new tests weren't implemented.
They were all the 'kill everything' variety, now I'd like to experience these new ones myself, without creating a new account.

Gorgon prime
MUAHAHAHA

I suggested this once but the discussion never got anywhere :(
But yeah, current melee is too simplistic for my liking and proper melee weapon equip would be awesome.
My suggestions are these:
- Keep the current melee key, for a bash attack that deals little damage but causes stagger (enemies can already do that, why can't we?) with the currently equipped weapon, that includes guns, seriously, Gorgon=giant metal basball bat with spikes, that shoots bullets.
- Tap LB - normal attack
- Hold LB - charge attack
- RB - block
The problem with this is you have three weapons to cycle through with one button, that can be fixed by using the mousewheel to cycle weapons.

Innovation brings problems of it's own, iteration works better for games like this.

Yep, had that happen to me twice now, very annoying.
