  1. DE has a very positive attitude about it, but Rebecca has stated because of how account data is saved, it's rather impossible right now. It was asserted that it may happen, but not for a long time.

  2. As a rebuttal to your perception of how Turbulence works, here's what the Wiki says about how the two shields work:

    INNER SHIELD:

The inner shield is spherical and protects Zephyr from weapons that fire visible projectiles with noticeable flight times (e.g., Deras, Plasma Rifles, Ogris, and Pyrotechnic Ogris). As these types of projectiles are deflected, their damage (disregarding area damage) is effectively negated.

So, in essence, the inner shield deflects all physical -- non-hitscan -- projectiles, regardless of where they're fired from. It doesn't matter if they're outside the outer shield or inside it, but so long as the projectile impacts the edge of the inner shield, it's deflected. AoE blast radius damage isn't affected by that, so if the inner shield is small enough (like mine is), you can still be badly hurt if you aren't careful.

    OUTER SHIELD:

The outer shield is cylindrical, similar to Bastille but with a shorter height, and protects Zephyr from weapons that fire hitscan projectiles (i.e., projectiles with no flight time). Hitscan weapons fired within the outer shield suffer a large accuracy* debuff, causing most projectiles to be fired at wide angles, however enemy accuracy improvement at higher levels can cause some bullets to not be deflected enough to avoid hits. Hitscan projectiles are redirected by the outer shield if fired from outside of it.

During the scenario in which I made record of this occurrence -- onboard the Grineer Galleon tileset -- the Rampart in question was well-outside the radius of the outer shield. Probably at least 30-40m or so. Didn't matter. Still died.

If those shots were non-hitscan, they should've been deflected entirely by my inner shield. If they were hitscan, then they shouldn't have even made it that far.

No matter how you look at it, given how absurdly far away they were -- and that I was using Narrow Minded, and not using Stretch or Overextended -- this is a bug.

    A giant, honking, bug.

I never said it wasn't a bug. Hence why I asked if you were or were not outside the outer shield's range. If you weren't, then viola, it's a bug; however you never replied directly. I simply tried iterating what may have been a misconception since I was not at the forefront to test it myself.

My last statements and replies were of clarification to someone else as to how the game worked. The term "projectile" is widely considered a non-hitscan in game mechanics. This is derived from the very definition of projectile in physics: an object propelled and being only otherwise affected by gravity. Sure, not every game utilizes "bullet-drop" from simulated gravity, but anything with flight time is usually considered a projectile. With that said, this is why I clarified it at the beginning and asked a valid question. I never got a reply.

Besides this, and after testing it myself, yes - it is a bug.

  3. Title.

Your post lacks feedback to be in the feedback section. This is simply a demand. Also, seeing how you're on a platform that has yet to receive Update 17.5, you would have yet to experience this change; therefore you would have read someone else's post regarding the "issue". I suggest posting your "feedback" there instead of making yet another post about this.

  4. OP neither stated nor implied that Ramparts are non-hitscan. Also, Turbulence affects hitscan weapons regardless of range--the distance merely affects how they are affected. As I understand it, enemies inside the outer radius have reduced accuracy, probably by a percentage of their normal accuracy, and then the bullets go wherever the enemy puts them (with their newly reduced accuracy) but enemies outside the outer radius aim with their normal accuracy, but the game redirects their bullets. You know how Bullet Attractor works? It's kind of like that, only in reverse, and a lot weaker.

But neither of these things actually happens to ramparts. That's the bug.

The original thread title literally states "Projectiles"; so yes, it is implied.

Also, any hitscan damage source outside the outer radius of Turbulence is not affected, at all. The game does not attempt to redirect hitscan bullets by any means, even when the source is within the outer radius. It simply reduces the accuracy of the enemy. So again, if you're far enough from the Rampart, it's going right through your Turbulence, simple as that.

  5. Actually, if you use the Rampart yourself, the bullets are not projectiles. They are hitscan, much like the Imperator; the bullets whizzing by are simply cosmetic tracers. The actual damage is done with a simple point-and-click.

Furthermore, because of this, Zephyr's Turbulence only affects hitscan weapon accuracy at a bit larger radius. Perhaps the Rampart was out of this distance during your witnessing?

  6. Try equipping a new syandana and then try locating Mortos in the auxiliary option. A friend of mine had this issue. All he had to do was switch out to a different syandana and his Mortos showed up.
