  1. Have you tried the Vulklok on the Carrier Prime?  Try it, and you'll see why it's such an effective shotgun.  The Carrier Prime's short range attack precept synergizes amazingly with the Vulklok's short effective range.  And honestly, a primary weapon like the Vulklok would be a ton of fun.

Just because it's useful at short range doesn't mean it's a shotgun...

That being said, and like others have said: we have one, it's called the Lanka.

  2. So a mod slot used for essentially scattering the damage to pseudo-shotgun-pellets?

Besides a lot of the obvious flaws, I believe this would cause a bit of an uproar in regards to multishot increasing status chance for non-shotgun primaries; while more pellets is counter-intuitive for actual shotguns. Because, if my memory serves me correctly, shotguns are per-pellet status chance, not per-shot.

  3. People seem to forget that as a part of this change all weapon damages and ammo consumption will be looked at. Its possible that even after the change our dps may not be highly affected, its too early to claim its so bad.

Yes, it was even stated shortly after that many weapons will be rebalanced for that damage loss.

  4. To clarify some confusion, this fix was made to prevent players from wasting their Legendary cores.  Not get them.  No missed opportunities here -- just prevented some costly mistakes.

    Thank you for the clarity.

  5. That chance already exists with no multishot though. If your target is already out at 30m and your standard no multishot shotgun would hit 50% of its pellets, well, a shotgun with multishot will hit ... you guessed it, 50% of its pellets. It's still going to be the multishot % more pellets hitting the target, since the accuracy is the same. It's guaranteed as much with a shotgun as it is the Soma.

Multishot is a straight upgrade since it does not change accuracy at all. OP's reasoning is off and kind of pointless.

    Exactly this.

  6. If the 100% is achieved with the use of Multishot mods, then the value isn't true, but theoretical. When the status chance increases by said mods, the value displayed is the probability given that at least one of those shots will afflict a status effect.

  7. It sounds like you were playing with a laggy host.

Latency and connection speeds are not exactly issues that can be resolved solely by DE. However I know DE is planning on moving Dojos, and hopefully Conclave, over to dedicated servers.

You could try adjusting your ping threshold to a lower value in the options menu, but I don't know if that affects PvP matchmaking.

  8. The Acrid, inherently, always applies a Toxin status effect, on every shot. Corrosive would be the result of the status chance actually kicking in.

As for the electricity, perhaps there's a bug that allows combined elemental damage types on the Acrid to afflict enemies with their base elements' status.

  9. Unfortunately at this time there is no way (other than via the Market with Platinum) to acquire Chroma or Mirage.

I believe Limbo is the only exception, as you can join someone currently doing the quest to excavate his components once more. Someone correct me on this if I'm wrong.

Of course support may work as well, depending on how long it's been since you sold it.

  10. The whole purpose of damage 2.0 was to create situations where some weapons work better on some enemies than others. Impact is unfortunately only good for corpus. Puncture for grineer, and slash for infested.

Some damage types are not as bad on some other enemies. Unfortunately impact is as the bottom of that list.

Pretty much this. This community needs to stop asking for weapons to be skewed to Slash/Puncture and instead have Impact indirectly buffed by adjusting enemy resistances and/or give Impact a more potent status effect.
