  1. I know you weren't looking for translators to translate this into Dutch, but if you still ever change your mind and want a Dutch translation, I could work on that. I'm pretty much fluent in both talking and writing in English, and my motherlanguage is Dutch. I usually just hate the translations into Dutch, would love to see if I was involved it would actually be of a somewhat decent quality.

Of course, this all depends on the fact if you ever even want a Dutch translation, but if so, I could always send a support ticket just so you can keep it in mind or something. I'll check back later in this thread if any interest is there from the DEv team.

  2. I wonder if they will just remove the multi-shot effect from all weapons. That would be interesting to see.

I'm kind of divided on this subject. Multishot really does make most other mods useless, but on the other hand, they have always been freaking rare. On top of that, it might very well be that the new content is actually balanced around having stats like 300% multishot, which would make it near impossible to complete if they did remove the multishot mods. I honestly have no clue how the DEvs will do this. Either remove multishot and balance the new content to the new acquirable stats or keep multishot in.

That also brings me to another point. I'm curious what they will do with the new environment and new missions. Will it drop the same sort of stuff in the new system comparable to mods or will those missions have loot that's actually better in some way or another compared to the current systems? I wonder..

  3. the mayor "buff" the bolt guns will recieve is that all those crit and crit damage nodes will be converted into power which we than can use for something that has an actual effect for these guns.

I'm pretty sure that you can still put some AP-damage on your other weapons with the new system.

That's actually a good point, I didn't even think about that yet. And I know it will be most likely possible to still get AP artifacts or atleast the stats, but there's a possibility the new system won't be able to have the same sort or even amount of stats as the previous system. For example, if there's only 4 artifacts per weapon which roughly gave the same stats as a mod right now, it would mean you get less stats in total. Of course, once again, this is complete guesswork but it could be true.

Despite the whole artifact point though, just the weapons getting nodes that actually matter for the weapon is awesome. I'm loving my Akbolto's and any sort of slight 'buff' to them is welcome.

  4. So I better stop selling them D:

Well, it might be harder to obtain credits after the update as well. I would just try and strike the right balance to be prepared for either situation. There's still atleast a good 2 weeks to prepare yourself, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

For a second there, I though you were refering to the Grineers.

... That would've been very awkward for both sides.

  5. Might be a weird title for the subject, but I couldn't think of anything else. Also, this entire thread will be based around guesswork from my part, but where's the fun in awaiting a new update without hyping it up a bit?

Well, here's my thought. With the introduction of the soon to be new (and hopefully, improved) system regarding skill trees and mods, and with the possibility of fewer stats or lower stats than on the mods, there's something I was thinking about (keep in mind, guesswork). If the earlier is going to be true, that means the armor piercing on the Boltor/Bolto/Akbolto might actually have more impact than choosing a gun without this armor piercing. Because there's a possibility that stats are going to be less effective, this means the armor piercing could possibly have more effect.

Now, this isn't really a buff, but it might be an extra advantage for using the Boltor since other weapons can't be as easily balanced with multishot or even armor piercing mods. It's just a thought, and I think it might be something even the DEvs might keep in mind just in case they haven't yet.

Keep in mind, this is based on an assumption that MIGHT be coming true, but might also be entirely false since we have almost no details about the new system, but it might give people that are bored and don't have a leveled Boltor yet a reason to craft/level up one in possible preparation. Since I know everyone loves to prepare and all that.

  6. As said in the Q&A, simply put, the mods will be able to be put through a 'grinder to grind it up to dust', and that dust can be used on crafting/improving (or whatever will be the actual case) the new artifacts in the new system.

Nobody knows how they'll scale by converting them to the new system though, or how the new system will (roughly) work, so it's all guesswork for now. Not sure if there's extra information on it in the design counsil but I'm guessing there's not a whole lot of information about it there just yet either.

  7. I actually had a response from an actual DEv in a previous thread about that limited items would stay in. I responded with the question if they would keep their levels or just get reset at level 1. The latter was the plan, according to that response from the DEv. I tried finding back the thread but no luck so far.

  8. I don't see the fuss about it. Thi new system is implemented to improve the current one. The DEvs arent implementing this just to screw you over you know. I already have deep respect to try and preserve player progress in a closed beta as much as possible. Most betas just wipe progress every 2 weeks or so. Have some faith in the DEvs, I think it is safe to say they have proven to be more than capable.

  9. Oh my god, this talk about dubstep incorporated reminds me a bit too much of the sound effect that played in Mass Effect 3 with the shockwave ability. You could just spam that and everyone would hear an annoying WUB WUB WUB for the entirety of the mission.

    Well, see for yourself:

  10. Ehh.. Not to burst your bubble for writing this post but.. Well.. Update 7 pretty much covers everything this post is talking about, including a complete skill tree/mod system overhaul, a new environment and more. The only things that aren't getting some kind of change that we know of from this post is a change within the hacking minigame and the host migration stuff.

  11. I only hope they didn't make the decision to bring the game to steam too early, as not having enough content or too many bugs can lead to players disregarding the game too easily. As it stands the game is still fairly grindy, so let's hope update 7 adds enough variety so that even all the steam players acknowledge this as a good game. Otherwise a lot of potential players could be lost before the game even enters full release.

  12. Well, update 7 will bring sound and toxic based frames. Is that elemental enough for you?

Also, I was kind of dissapointed you didn't make a pun like (ele)mental, seemed like a miss chance D:

Anyway, welcome aboard, although I hardly think you need a welcoming like that anymore. ;-)

  13. ok thanks. And im guessing there gnna wipe our accounts clean too rite? once they decide to officially release the game...

This question has literally been answered like 2 hours ago, a couple of threads below this one.. The actual FAQ says, which is stickied on this exact forum section:

    Darn ninja's

  14. I'm not entirely sure if these posts are actually directed at me, but I'll respond anyway. I only said it's nice to see a positive thread once in a while as well. Of course I know complaints and constructive criticism is more than welcome in a beta, it's one of the major reasons why a developer would want to start a beta with a wide range of play testers, and I'm well aware of this.

  15. If they are going to follow the usual routine, there's going to be an open beta after this closed beta, which will then continue to run for a fairly lenghty period of time seeing how long the closed beta has been going on now. Followed up by the actual release, of course.

So yeah, as JRMC said, no set date, and it most likely won't be for a while.

  16. Only thing I'm saying, it's good to see a thread pop up to actually make notice they've done an amazing job so far. Even if it is for a good reason, only seeing negative subjects can make the impression people don't like the game, even though they like the game apart from a single flaw or other reasons.
