  1. I am experiencing the same issue, but it seems I nailed the exact conditions when the disk fails to launch.

You have a kill counter contributing to your combo counter. As long as you have at least 1 kill on the counter, the disk deploys. Otherwise it just freezes at the end of the animation.

  2. Getting 1400+MB RAM usage with, admittedly laughable, 2 GB total available, had 1900+ after a bounty run.
Experiencing lag down to 1-3 FPS near constantly, booting with only with Windows services and disabling 64 bit mode in the launcher eased things up to 5-6 FPS semi-stable, yet to test things further to reply to Support (ticket #1042617).
Either mass Infested spawns messing things up, or there's a serious performance issue.
Yes, getting those on lowest graphical settings with all GFX possible disabled.

  3. Same. Ever since the event dropped I'm getting absolutely uneven amounts of lag, like 1-3 FPS, 7-15 at best, then suddenly back to 25+, and then again.
I suggest writing to support since this doesn't seem to be an issue for everyone.

  4. At first when Relics were introduced, I initially thought that upgrading a relic to a certain tier makes the items from the previous tier not drop, leaving you with higher chances of getting items from the tier you've upgraded the relic too. Going with intact? Have the standard drop chances for all items as it is now. Want to just have bronze rewards? Go with Exceptional. Silver? Flawless is your pick. Gold? Be prepared to invest in making it a Radiant.
This would reduce the grind so drastically that it makes it unappealing long-term if implemented as is- people will get everything too fast. How can it be improved? Exclude the previous tiers, but not those above. Still not enough for higher tiers and Radiants are a surefire win? Then make them cost far more traces, Radiants especially. There still is farming, you'll still have the RNG, but with it also comes control over your rewards.
But we all know that DE reduces the grind only once in a blue moon, so... Unlikely to happen.

  5. The main problem with Nitain is that the gaps between alerts have been significantly increased. Before, it was said that there would be at least 4 alerts per day- and, IIRC, it was so at Nitain Extract's launch: it was relatively easy to come by, trusty Alerts Informer's notifications popping up left and right so often that it ws an annoyance. Curretly, according to WarframeAlerts Twitter page, we get Nitain Extract alerts every 4 hours. That's 6 alerts per 24 hours, each lasting for about an hour. If you don't have constant access to Warframe whenever the need arises (like the majority of the playerbase), you can get about 2 a day. If you do not constantly follow Twitter or Deathsnacks, then you'll most likely get one in a couple of days.
Currently, Nitain is a sure time-gate. Caches? - >1% chance at the third? You either play every 4 hours, or you'll be screeching at those requirements, many new weapos requiring ~5 Nitain and helmets at least 2.

  6. I usually dislike missions with tons of Nullifiers and such, but I have to admit this time it was somewhat unusually fun.
It's fascinating how feedback is either "this is frustrating and outright unfun" or "This was a breath of fresh air and an exciting challenge". Since the alerts were technically the same for everyone, this shows the vast difference between "right" and "wrong" loadouts and tactics. When I went in with an ability spam-oriented build, I was screwed the second I got a magnetic proc. But when I picked Frost, took a good weapon and was lucky to have a nice team, even when Darvo was nearly dead, we still managed to survive. But when it was a bunch of MK1-Excaliburs (basically newbies), we failed instantly.
Since I wasn't doing it solo, my tactic is not the key to winning. I put slowing Globes in the middle and where the enemies go/wherever Darvo is, killed every Nullifier as soon as their bubbles appeared, marked Hyenas. The easiest run so far was with a Nova and Ash. Slova basically does Frost's job, and both are not reliant on constantly having energy.
That's the thing with Warframe: the success rate skyrockets as soon as you have the right loadout, not even talking about "cheese tactics".

On topic: I've been playing with randoms since U8, the only place when I got yelled at was Viver back in the days (joined out of curiosity, went to collect thousands of loot, got yelled at for messing up spawns, so that was fair).
The only time I got trolled was actually hilarious, a person PMs me "WTS Voltaic Strike 15p" (was looking for it in the Trade chat), I accept the deal and he just writes "no" and ignored me.
Yes, I died a lot because nobody bothered to revive me, yes, I've met people that weren't nice, but it doesn't seem to be a big problem. Usually the majority is nice and tries to help and even thanks the squad after a good run. Although it highly depends on your region.

This really didn't happen. I can't even properly go to an EMPTY relay now. I crash due to insufficient memory and yes, I know. I need a better computer. But hey! The map isn't even as big as many others and my computer is having difficulty loading it. Why?

Guys, please. This map will always be broken for me unless you guys make it possible for us to go to relays alone when matchmaking is set to solo. Or, make the map less heavy and make it easy for people like us. Not everyone has got a good computer.

Oh boy, someone else has this issue!
Are you using Windows XP or/and x32 system? If so (and especially on XP), no matter which settings or specs you have, you won't be able to play the game properly.
Here is a very detailed and dedicated investigation on this that is for some reason neglected.

If you're on XP, upgrades won't help you, support won't help you. I finally got into a Relay only after upgrading to Windows 7 x64.

    -snip-

Recently upgraded to Windows 7 x64. Same specs as before (yes, even the 2GB RAM). Guess what?
All smooth no matter what. Relay works like magic. No, everything works like magic.

Here goes the claim that my graphics card can't handle the textures. Yes, it is not incredible, but it does its job well.

I guess they won't drop XP support anytime soon since it is a large part of the playerbase. The game is playable for some, so the rest just doesn't have good enough specs and that's it, case closed, This is partially true, since if you have loads of VRAM, then it is harder to run out of it.
I have no hopes for the staff to notice and fix this, but at least those that are in the same boat as we are (were) can find the answer. To fix this, you need Win7 x64 or more VRAM. That's it.

  10. Thanks for starting this topic and recording proof.
Loading itself is a pure hell for me half of the time, I get disconnected while loading. Especially annoying when an alert has ~10 minutes left and you can only hope that you'll make it in time (and don't get disconnected during the mission).
That isn't that big a problem for me. Disconnection during missions is.

As it was said once, the game wants everything too fast and throws up when it doesnt get it. If I take a screenshot via F6 (in-game option)- disconnection is guaranteed. If I get a windows popup message (not a window, just info)- disconnected. Alerts informer popup? disconnected. A <spoiler> transmission? Disconnected too! Game froze for no reason for several seconds? You can wave goodbye whatever rewards you've got, be it a bunch of Alloy Plates, a Vauban Prime part or that-one-thing-you-were-hunting-for-for-ages or an hour-long survival. All is poof- gone.

Frustration aside, the core problem is that game has little tolerance towards microfreezes. Another part of the probllem is that the rewards are destroyed  and that the host migration is almost never a success.

    I suggest the following:

-Lag happens. Make us stick to the host better or make the game actually take its time to make someone else a new host in case the original one crashed or anything. Or make us host if all of the squad members are unavailable.

-Nobody likes losing rewards. Make us play the rest of the mission (or actually get to extracton) to get what we worked hard for
    OR

-Disconnect while keeping what we got if the objective was completed. For survivals it is 5-min mark, defense- 5 waves, Interception- 1 message. The most frustration comes from losing everything achieved during a long mission, most of which are endless.

P.S. I know, rewritiing net code is a pain. But it needs to be done to massively improve the gameplay experience.

    [edit]

By the way, whoever experiences this issue, please, post your specs and the version of OS you're on. Maybe we can find a clue here. Mine are:
Windows XP SP3 (yes, I know it's no good), AMD Athlon 64 x2 3600+,NVidia GeForce GT 640(1GB VRAM), 2GB RAM.

Y'know, I didn't even notice Deception was gone until I read this. Why did they remove deception? Seems like every mission type now is some variation on defense!

Mobile Defense: Time-limited defense with multiple targets

Interception: Defense of 4 targets at once

Sabotage: Half the time these are time-limited defense of 4 weaker targets (reactor cores)

Hijack: Defense of a moving target

Rescue: Defense of a faster moving target that you can revive

Why remove variety from the game? I don't get it!

Because it was just like old Spy: Get here, press x, extract. The aim is to make missions more interesting, but usually before removal a rework followed. It seems that the compression of the Starchart pushed them to remove this gamemode.
Shame I didn't hunt Kurias before. I want that fancy Statuette on my Liset, but this would probably take a while to fix.

  12. With the removal of Deception gamemode several tiles became unaccessable. It wouldn't be a problem if Kurias haven't been in some of them. More specifically, kurias 1-3, 1-4 (Corpus Gas City deception) and 3-4(Grineer Galleon) are currently unaccessable.
Please, take a look at this issue and inform us if Kurias are moved somewhere else.

  14. Thank you so much for starting this topic. Finally someone gathered loads of information on this issue.

I can do some missions before running into yellow textures and crashing. All my graphic settings set to low/disabled except for display resolution (set to 1024x768, just like my general resolution, otherwise I simply can't read any text) and weapon elemental FX, I also use windowed mode. I am running WinXP SP3 x32, 2GB RAM, GeForce GT640 (1 gb VRAM), AMD Athlon  64 x2 Dual Core 3600+. I was dedicated to help the Devs nail and fix the issue, so I can share more details about this.

I experience similar symptoms, although to a lesser extent:

    Spoiler

-Yellow textures which make the game lag noticably when you're facing them,

-Transparent/black textures for faces, icons, black blocks instead of HUD elements/text, chat is affected too,

-Game freezing while loading textures, after a while the window resizes itself a little while its contents black out, then everything goes back to normal, all textures are reloaded,

-Rays of different colors emerging from the center of the screen, they stay as if they were a part of HUD and sometimes change colors,

-"Out of memory" crash- either after severe artifacting (yellow or black textures) or straight out of the blue.

-Speaking of blue- all ONLY while running Warframe:

    BSOD  KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (0xc0000005,varies, varies, 0x00000000) mentioning nv4_disp.dll and, according to BlueScreenView, dxg.sys.

    (only once) THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER (0x100000ea, 0x89697700, 0x896ac7e8, 0xb84dbcbc, 0x00000001) mentioning nv4_disp.dll and, strangely enough, hal.dll.

-"Nvidia driver has stopped working" (very rare if not once),
-If the game crashes with "out of memory" once, each game launch attempt will last less than the previous one, sometimes crashing even before login screen, reboot solves this,
-The window becomes "fragile"- the process is running, but I can click through it on my desktop icons, which leaves a hole in the window, or I can "wipe" it entirely by another window- this usually is the last stage, and the game most likely won't launch before reboot.

    Here's my story.

    Spoiler

It all started during the period from Simaris update to March 06. I was unable to acess/stay on Relays long enough to access Void Trader. Wnen Sands of Inaros update dropped, this became serious since I had only several days to get the quest, so I submitted a support ticket. Although while waiting for response I managed to get the quest (Fresh boot, no other programs running, Excal with default color scheme, no cosmetics, default Sicarus as the only weapon), and was unable to answer the "sorry for delay, issue still persists?" answer, so the ticket was closed.

Then it got worse. The issue spread to normal missions, yellow/black textures became my worst enemy.  It wouldn't be as bad if a simple lag due to textures loading didn't lead to an inevitable host migration. I then opened another ticket.

    I was told to:

    Spoiler

-Update my drivers(Tried plenty from older to newer- no difference),

-Increase my pagefile to 3 times my RAM (that was long ago, probably helped a little),

-Stress test my GPU and CPU (no issues),

    -Disable DX10/11- unavailable for WinXP,

-Disable 64-bit mode (Didn't I mention several times that I use x32 OS?),

    -Multi-threaded rendering (no difference),

-Set all settings to low (mentioned several times),

-Enable Debug mode for my graphics card (turned out to be an unsupported feature for XP).

Then I was told that there's nothing that can be done from my side and a note about this would be moved to the Devs.
I gathered plenty of crashlogs and screenshots for those interested. Some info about them in the spoiler, logs themselves are huge.

    Spoiler

I've read the logs myself- they usually mention:

-(a lot) "Budget overrun"  while loading a texture file,

-(half of the log)PreLoad Failure while loading png files (textures too?)

this in the end of one of crashlogs (crashed while on Liset)

If anyone wants more, please, tell me a good website for uploading this- I would gladly share them, I have 6 different crashlogs.

A great culprit could be one issue during the launch of U15 (And that is October 2014, the date OP mentions as the start of it all): many XP users couldn't play at all, especially NVidia users. Same symptoms, but worse: I was unable to stay on Liset without artifacting and crashing. Since this was a massive issue for a huge amount of players, it got fixed in less than a week and was indeed connnected to memory handling: just look through patchnotes since 15.1.0.

[DE] Nathan said this in the ticket: "The problem is basically your system does not have the memory to load all of the new textures in U15. We are working on a fix for this issue as XP users are all having this problem. It worked better on our stand alone client because Steam was not running the overlay and other functions at the same time. Steam uses a lot of resources."
And the hotfixes that followed all mentioned XP crashfixes and (!) "Improved Dojo load times and Dojo stability for 32-bit systems." (15.1.2).

In conclusion, mu guess would be that this issue is caused by a combination of Nvidia GPU, WinXp, x32 and relatively small amounts of VRAM.
Please, don't let this topic die. I think that the more information we can gather, the easier it would be for the Devs to find the exact case and fix this issue. It would be great if someone sends the link to this topic to Devs via PM or a Support Ticket.

  15. Thanks title, now I can't stop singing this song.
Nullies are manageable with most weapons if they are lower than level 40 and accompanied with normal units. As many mentioned above, on higher levels they are far from fragile, can even oneshot some frames and provide cover for other deadly units- bombards, bursas and so on.  Being swarmed by them on a defense mission usually means mission failure.
If you have no problems with them, you are either playing <40 level missions, or have a good loadout.
