  1. I for once wished there was the possibility to feed my lvl 5 Lich to give him power and get a lvl 100 Lich. 

    So ridicolously tough it would mean i would have to find a way to defeat it beyond what i normally use for just any mob. Ask my friends for help, create a special crew to be able to kill him. 

    That i would actually fear him and would be thrilled to check my new idea on how to get him on the knees. Not a stalker that i just slash once and wave see ya or zanuka i dont even see where her corpse is.. you should love your assassins they depart so quickly. 

    It is optional content after all. 

    I wish that right now they change it a bit.

    After getting to rank 5 you have an option to use a special slap attack with your fist to enrage your lich after guessing all parazon mods when he is on his knees to be converted or killed.

    It activates hardcore lich mode. Lich takes 1 of your weapons and you will not see it back, its random from what you have equipped (need to have all 3 slots equipped). Lich takes over the whole system, steals everything from your drops and he uses them to empower himself. He spawns all the time, you can run only solo or invite only, no pugs missions for you until he builds his base.

    He is trying to kill you, get rid of you - if he does succeed downing you - it comsumes all your revives - death (he loses the one shot ability thou). Each mission starts at 250lvl mobs, each is a nightmare with random additional sortie handicap. You cant run only captures, you have certain requirements of what you have to finish with few options to pick from. 

    Each mission you succeed raises his lvl by 1 and raises the % on the weapon he stole by 1% up to a maximum of 100%. He gains ephemera at level 100 based on the element you spawned him at first. At levels 20/40/60/80/100 the weapon is polarized by your choice, but doesn't use your formas, you can pick umbra polarization on melee for free for example. Each level he becomes stronger and at 100 he is a beast far tougher than anything you ever seen in warframe. 

    Once he reaches lvl 100 you have a new node where you can go and kill him to get the ephemera and your new weapon (it is a 0 lvl with 5 formad slots weapon with an additional 100% to an element added and an unrolled unveiled riven for that weapon inside). You dont get anything else back, no matter what it was. The fight should be a very difficult raid. Might be railjack related. Once he reaches lvl 100 the system goes back to normal as there is no guarantee that you will even be able to kill your nemesis.

    Each thing you pick at any node on any mission from this moment rolls 50/50 to be stolen or not. You wont see any of it ever. So until you get rid of him 50% of what you drop is lost. 

    He has a stalkerlike chance to show on missions and can be as that for forever or until you finish your personal raid. He gets enraged when you interact with liches system (same as stalker with bosses). You can get rid of a particular nemesis only by enraging and leveling 2nd one to take his place. 

  2. Liches are 2-4h of casual play. Yes if you dont like any of it, it might feel bad, but from what you wrote you have friends and you can run the normal missions you enjoy while getting rid of it. 

    Ask friends to borrow the parazon mods if you dont want to farm all of them and at the end give them one full parazon mod for the ability to use 1 point of 3 off theirs. Its a 1:1 trade and its not a big problem to get just 1 of any parazon mod. 

    Run groups for liches, even pugs for them are reliable to get things done. 

    Kill it finally, pugs/friends can help if you dont have the means for it and than just dont start another one if you hate them so much. Its fully optional content now.

    I understand you dont like it, but i for example actually like that mobs start at 110+lvl and i dont mind them stealing my stuff, even if they wouldnt give anything of that back i would create them (they stole rivens, index rewards and many other things from me) .

    A chance for a tradeable ephemera or a gun you can sell for few hundred plat has to cost me something. Right now it just requires acceptance of certain annoyance and patience (got 4 ephemeras already), but i would accept a higher cost. 

  3. To be honest i play railjack for fun and i honestly dont care that status ag's are the power house and railjack guns are even better. And certain battle skills are compareable to saryn in certain situations and amesha is the king. 

    My friends i play with dont care as well. We do what we want, for most missions i did odonata prime with ratataata imperator vandal as i honestly love the dogfights with a gun working like this, they do them and we make it work. 

    In now way we do anything the glorious efficient way, nor fastest possible, nor the most rewarding.. We concentrate on having fun and do what we like and we never failed a mission (aside from the bugged ones ofc) .

    We did veil missions in the starter railjack and we dont park the railjack 20km from the action. Our beast is always there were the action is.. sometimes when we park it just under the laser platform cy is getting a panic overload, but we always make it work so he kinda gets used to his new irresponsible pink rhino with butterfly wings crew. 

    All that means.. its easy.. Maybe in pugs its different.. Idk, never tried that, but i think that there is too much concetration in wf on what is best for this, for that, when i am asked by someone what to take on a mission the answer is always.. do you and have fun. This works best.

    Actually no. I tried to basically show in my posts that you are not-only, not forced, but a very viable strategy is to completely skip all of the rng in railjack.

    You can stick to the dojo mk3 stuff (that has zero rng) for engines, reactor etc. Than you run excatly 5 missions in veil and get zetki cryophons mk3 for weapons (i didn't do more than 20 missions there total and had already like 10 of them, they are a common drop from some exo elite ships that are plenty, and that rng stat on them is fire ratę - on a 3 bullet one shooting gun so as important as zoom on pistols). After that you can trade avionics mods that dont have rng stats and are pretty common so they will cost like 10-20p each or grind them same way you do with all mods. 

    Thats it, only resource grind left and you have an awesome ship with the best guns that can do everything with ease and fun.

    Isn't that sufficient? If it is not.. welcome to endgame grind where a skewed towards bottom rng rolls between utter garbage to top awesomness and has only 2% chance to drop after at least 15 minutes of gameplay!

    They excplicitly said that houses will have their roles, so each house has a speciality, for shields lavan is the top, for engines its vidar for weapons its zetki from what i have seen so far. 

  6. The problem i have with rng systems is the base stuff that you can get with decent amount of play is usually not enough... so to actually enjoy something you need to roll the dice. The question is, Is this the case of railjack? 

    Lets take railjack engines as an example. Currently flux capacity is not that important, avionics capacity on the other hand is strictly tied to the power and defense of your vessel. You need that to equip mods. 

    Right now the engines mk3 are: dojo  50c, lavan 26-70c, zetki 11-50c and vidar 35-100c.

    I will say it simple, 50c is probably enough to have a decent railjack and there is no gamble in it, its not awesome, but good enough to have a good experience. My friend has a 60ish engine and we can stay on rj in the middle of everything and not worry about it and there is enough capacity left to have 2 battle skills on top, one of which we use for shytts and giggles (battle ram). 

    Which means that those grindable gamble ones are not like a reactor on a frame, more like a forma on a prime frame. 

    I am willing to give de some room on this as they show that they actually have a pretty decent idea how to manage rng stats. Give everyone a solid base without any rng for a decent grind.. and full blown rng min-maxing as an endgame.

I basically agree to everything @Teridax68 wrote, Warframe always struck me as the place i can get a full nice collection of everything this game has to offer (have all weapons and frames in arsenal including frames with primes and mk weapons just sitting there (lack only trinity and broken war) and almost all pve mods (lack around 20ish now as they added parazon mods)) and i really like that approach, tingles my collectionist note the right way. On the other hand i also enjoy games like Path of Exile.. 

    They are trying a different aproach, something that is in between RNG based and grind based. Bashing them after a week of the system in alpha mode is probably to early. I kinda like how they did lich weapons, the rng there is not bad, but opened the market for some items and put some min-maxing grind for people that like that. RNG there doesn't bother me, i don't feel i need to get the max on every weapon for my collection and just getting all of them is fairly easy.

    I just feel we need them to polish the railjack system a bit more. Give them some time to put out phase 3, see how they approach this new game mode, which even right now is fun to be honest and can be something that will change warframe in a good direction. I am fine with them exploring different possibilities even if i am not fullly sold on them yet.

    Right now the parts you want for RJ, drop only as rewards with 2% chance at the end of every veil missions. Each node has the same chance which is bad idea (no one will do harder content if easier nets same rewards, imagine Terry droping energise), The rng stats on engines/shield/reactor are also pretty busted in the scope of rng. Zetki reactor mk3 ranges from 10-90 avionics capacity, vidar mk3 from rewards 35-100 and each has 5 additional modifiers on top. Thats kinda harsh, thou on the other hand of the stick i got around 5+ zetki reactors already (max roll i got is 44 capacity). If you want to go for the max stat on avionics capacity you need that vidar mk3 which will not drop even after a lot of missions, but if you can accept something like 85 capacity (85% of max) you should get there pretty soon as they drop from enemies (you get a pretty stable influx of them).

    Well maybe because its wrong:

    - scraping parts as far as i know gives 50% of resources back. There might be trade for bps/parts added later. Not crafted ones are your primary source of dirac aka space endo. 

    - you recuperate almost nothing in diablo 3. Normal legend gives on scraping 1 material, 15 is for primal, if you play even a bit you will swim in those and they basically are used in mostly rerolling. Trading is not existant as items are bound if not found together in a party. 

    - in Poe it works to an extent, most of the shyt you will use wont be sellable and there is a catch. In Poe you buy items, you rarely drop them. To put it into perspective, you would have to buy each and every component for rj except probably for one that dropped for you. You would only farm plat and would not even look at 99,99% of drops. Ah and fetch would have to be gone. Without fetch economy there lasts a week..

    Let me introduce you to the big fat monster, the deadliest of the monsters in diablo 3. You meet her when that perf 10/100 cc/cd ancient hellfire with the useful passive is crafted and you are so happy. You go to her with your precious to just get that element, even 15% would sufice.. but it must be physical or its not an upgrade at all.. 

    After 1k+ gems, an army of souls and simple mats you had to run few times to farm them... When those bilions of gold is shreded.. something, a part of you dies inside and precious becomes a toxic token of a random slot machine. 

    Or maybe should i introduce you to fusing orbs? You meet them when that perfect unique chest dropped.. After spending 64 exalted orbs worth of fuses i started to question what i play.. You may say you can go with 5 link, but what about if you have one already and play ssf? 

    Too many times i was there to agree to that. Its better in wf - its a stable cost, it doesnt change. In those 2 games you might roll forever. 

  10. Well i do slowly kill my liches to get remaining ephemeras (got 4 right now), but i have that problem. I choose only survivals, captures, exterminations and mobiles yet i am thrown more often into defenses, infiltrations, iterceptions that i dont really like to do.

    I am not running solo as i want to help others that can have problems with their liches (that happens a lot from what i have seen). I just like to play with others, i can do everything solo i just prefer party. 

    I honestly dont understand why after so many years mission choosing and gathering party is still so frustrating and bugged. Its the core of the cores.

    Why cant i choose from some drop down menu missions i want to run and for example a tick for liches/fissures/floods and if it fails to find a running one instead of throwing me to a party it will create new instance and me as the host? It would basically mean far easier grouping that it is right now.

    They use both methods. Mods are not random, you upgrade it through dirac (they could drop with random stats). The problem with upgrade system it feels like work, there are no spikes of "happiness". Its just plain dull grind.

    Imagine a 5% bonus added to your weapon up to the max of 60% each time you kill a Lich with the right weapon.. Would it be better than it is now? What about if it was 2%? 

    Our brain works in certain way, you remember the lucky rolls, the very awesome things that happened and the worst things, but you basically forget everything that is normal or even slightly bad quickly. The super rare reward triggers part of your brain to release dopamine and it makes you happy. That is addictive (Path of Exile heavily relies on dopamine cycle, they dont even hide it) and is basically an efficient way to create content that will hook you.. If the loop is fun.. Well thats what you aim for with a product. 

  12. Actually archguns are far better balanced than basically anything from normal guns. We are just used to being grossly overpowered. 

    Before railjack the most balanced content in the game where archwing missions. No one played them thou XD. 

    Balance of damage is when you actually need to pick targets and shoot at least few bullets into them before they die. Balance is not killing a room with a single bullet.. 

    A good rj turret gun mk3 hitting a weakspot is actually really good in terms of damage and is well balanced. Cryo mk3 one shots almost every ship if you hit its rear weakspot.

    We are just not really used to that in this game. We want an automatic gun that one shots a ship and is hitscan so a clip will melt a dozen fleets.. Thats not really balance XD

    There is a problem with "i want everything with top stats, but i want it in 15 minutes" . 

    I have all the weapons and got them in 16 liches. My clanmates helped me with 3 weapons, trading their uneeded ones for my uneeded ones. With around 2-3h per lich it means you can get all weapons for mr in less than 50h of play that is basically normal missions with a gimick. Thats the base of what you might say is "needed", but is it? You dont really need any of that, its just mr..

    My highest roll is a 55% hammer rad, next 3 are 45, 44 and 37 and i am fine with that. Most of my weapons are 26-28% and i dont care - they work. 

    Lets assume that mr is a must - its 50h if you have a clan, or friends, or socialise even a bit, if you want a karak or a seer pm in game will give you one for free. 

    The very different topic is "i want that particular weapon with max roll". Certain weapons are worth 1.5k plat with the right element and max roll. You have to grind a lot for that and thats fine. Your base weapon even with the crapiest roll will still be viable being just 25% weaker than that one for 1.5k plat. Imo its a good balance.

  14. To be completely honest, rng stats mean longevity and more active trade.. That does correspond with money spent on game.

    The real problem is it took them 3 years to make railjack and some players have everything mk III already after a week or so. Do you see the problem? 

    They stated it many times, people spend money when they release content. You basically cant deny that, its like physics in f2p games. Thats why they cant concentrate on redoing old stuff, balancing, debugging. New content pays the bills - its a law. 

    So they are seeking a longevity of the content they are creating by adding layers of rng. Right now the base idea of the f2p game industry is to create fun and interesting game loop and rng the rewards so the current content lasts for longer. It also has its merit in biology of human brain and behaviour. Rare instances or great luck is a great dopamine kick. Our brains like it. 

    If it is done right it works. The problem is when the loop is unfun or the rng is to harsh on the bottom rolls. Railjack content in my opinion has a fun game loop, the rng thou needs some tweaking.

    Kuva weapons are a good example (liches are not great, but that rng portion on weapons imo is done right). The base or the lowest roll on them is working (i have all the weapons, most are really good), the weapon itself is strong enough. Max roll is only 33% more powerful than the lowest. It gives a seen boost, but is not really required. Same should be aplied to rj parts, around 33-50% between bottom and top roll and some randomised gimicks that allow for some builds. Allow them to be traded and it will work. 

    The problem right now is that some parts have 800% multi between top and bottom and apply to stats that are required (like mod capacity). In d3 the difference is 850-1000 so just 17%, in Poe a t3 roll is a common thing so i will use it as base, difference is 38/48 (resists) so around 30% difference, or counting differently a 90% res ring is cheap whereas 120+ is highly priced, thats still around 30%. Thats about the lines they should aim for. 

    They are looking to actually get some freedom in the development time and i think it is starting to become a must. Most new content releases are now buggier, shallow and far less fun than they used to be. The bugs are piling, issues and abandon content that requires revisit is ramping up, they actually need longevity of the content really badly now so they can repair older stuff as well. 

    I am not a huge fun of that model, but f2p market has not found a solution for it yet. All in all i hope that rng will not overshadow the game loop and we will be playing cause its fun and those rng drops will come eventually.

  15. They are uneven and not really scaling in difficulty with masteries (mastery rank 28 is really easy and some of the tests before 10 and around 20 do require skill or special equipment to do them). 

    We dont need them easier, we need them much, much harder so you feel you earned your mastery as the name suggests (do not call me out cause i am 28, i would be happy to redo all of them in a harder version just to prove my rank), so actually failing a mr test would be a normal thing.

    We need more skill based things in wf not less, most content is a meme difficulty already. 

  16. Crewships missiles are now crazy and bugged. From what i observed they have infinite range and infinite lock and cannot be shot nor misguided. Their only weakness is they are not ultra fast. 

    I tested a lot with odo prime and amesha and never was able to misguide them, couldnt even hide from them behind asteroids or ships.

    You can outrun them for some time, but the lock is not dropped. Blinking through them gives you some time as they are slow on manouvers (no fast 180), but they are also bugged with lock capabilities and the way they deal damage. 

    My friend as a host died in amesha multiple times with 15-17 charges left on first ability. He was dead and had charges. Casting 1 is also not instant for those missiles, if you drop your charges while being hit by one of them you will die even if you are fast enough to cast 1 before next hit. Your corpse will be floating with max charges. 

    What is really funny you cant even hide on the crewship itself (i had that briliant idea that if it can target you everywhere lets see what happens if you are on the ship that shot at you). Its kinda funny how it works. I am 100% sure i had at least few hundred meters advantage (a blink through the missiles around 500+m from the crewship) before i pressed that x to enter the ship. I died instantly inside the ship on spawn. 

    It was kinda hard to test what happens when you enter railjack while being the target. If anyone wants to check that be my guest. I think you will be dead inside the railjack. Same is with omni tool and a quick Q when you are a target. My friend uses that so someone on the rj crew can revive him easier. Maybe this with a reviving companion is a way to go around it, but if you leave the ship far away it still is not great as an option. 

    They could change few abilities to make the rooster more broad. For it to be on pair with amesha it should all come to energy management. Flares from odo would have to become for example toggle based and instantly destroy all missiles that have a lock on you, but drain some energy for each missile destroyed. Itzals 2nd should work that if you have it on, you cant be a missile target but each lock dropped or tried on you uses an aditional portion of your energy. This way you could see when you are the target and reposition or even use omni to go out of harms way and let rj tank that things. 

    I kinda like the gameplay and energy management on amesha as it is now and i think adding this to all of the others would make it a nice way to play with aw's in rj. Amesha is great, but you still die if not careful. Its 3rd ability is busted opie thou, it should be toned down a bit and others should receive some buffs. Odos 1 should be based on enemies not on range for allies (enemies take increased damage instead of allies deal more), Itzals 1 could be a turn off ability like a sleep (you hit a ship with it, it stops to do anything for a short time), elytron should receive a similar treatment, one toggle energy skill for damage resistance and 1 to be useful - i would call for his 4 to be an instagib for every small aircraft hit by it (you need to still hit it, rockets do not have lock), the explosion deals normal scaled damage. I really would love to see the use of all archwings in certain situations. Itzal good for sleeping and invading crewships, amesha and odo for dogfights, elytron for picking harder targets.. 

  17. Well i was wrong, i thought the range on those rng things is small. Its in fact huge.

    I think they added weapons to that rullete in this update, check your weapons, above all stats there is a new white "firerate" that is random, have no idea what it does.

    With liches rng, it doesn't matter much, its 25-60% mulitplier, so your weapon is just 25% worse than top (on the worst possible roll or top is 33% better), but when you get as i did a 6 capacity avionics when max is 30 for that same engine... you start to wonder when there is a 500% better roll than the worst one. 500 is a big number and it affects capacity on top! 

  18. My experience, one run only, so don't kill me if ihat was and oddity. Veil 90 ships/6 crew.

    - materials dropped odd, some more than usuall, some far less.

    - basically removed dirac from droptables. From around 2-3k per mission usually to 0

    - mods and weapons engines were fine, around what was before  

    - added if am right rng to dropable weapons (or at least is seems so). i don't really know what that white firerate above all stat means or does but its as random as engines etc.

    - can confirm the bubbles srtangely linger, longer than usua or my friend is right (he is pretty sure about it) there is a different ship that heals others now

    Thanks a lot. This is actually really nice. If you get those resources everywhere the grind for railjack becomes less of a hassle and more integrated into the normal game modes.

    I dont really know if its great for new players if those take place of regular resources, but i guess they could be just an added drop. We will just have to see the updated droptables when they are out.

    Lich is tradeable with everything he has. Weapon and ephemera. They even go for nice plat. Saw a wtb for 60% kuva kohm toxin/Ele for 1.5k plat.

    Great to know, maybe when rj hit they changed where those resources drop. How many did you get? It might change some aspects of rj farming 

  22. They said many times, the numbers show they need to have a steady stream of new content to make money and pay bills. Not going to change, all f2p have this issue. 

    Liches are tradeable so the weapons are tradeable. If you want a shytty kuva seer pm me ingame, will give you one for free. I usually just give liches to clanmates that dont have those weapons. By exchanging only 3 of them i got all weapons pretty fast (thou with shytty %).
