  1. In the replies to topics like this I am always amazed at the number of people who play warframe that hate it. Truly a bizarre and masochistic hobby to play games you hate.

  2. Well...

Grineer were not that high tech. They had numbers, but not a great deal of tech. Sentients wouldn't be as dangerous to them as they were to the Orokin who relied on their ultra tech. Now? The Grineer have tech. Laser weapons and such. Um... Ouch?

    Sentient controlled Balor Formorian...

    I WANT THIS!

I have always maintained that the orokin used automated weapons systems and didn't actually fight. This would have been what gave the Sentients weapons to turn. As such the system as a whole is better prepared to fight them now than they were under the control of the orokin. They could take control of the proxies and the corrupted possibly even the ships but the grineer and corpus both have soldiers still. This is also why I think the Tenno were never directly controlled by the Orokin but that's a different topic.

The cephalons kinda put a wrinkle in that though as the lisets are still from the old war. Perhaps the cephalons being AI means they couldn't be taken over as easily, whereas "dumb" systems like targeting and firing would just be like pushing buttons.

  3. Hubs and Archwing.

Hubs, right so in this future where Tenno are almost godlike, and stuff of legend, we gather in our hundreds right next to the Grineer / Corpus. It wouldn't need a Balor to take one out...

Archwing, apart from it being rubbish, none of the big ships out there have any close quarters defences capable of swatting a gnat?

Think of the skybox scene over Europa, two massive ships trading fire, and they cant handle 4 glorified jetpacks?

No they wouldn't they aren't designed to do so. The archwings have the defensive capabilities in line with some of those large ships which means it would take heavy artilery to "swat the gnats". One universal truth of heavy guns is that it is not for highly mobile targets outside of the lucky shot here or there but for more stationary targets. It's why battleships have .50 cal guns in addition to the heavy batteries. We just live in a world where our equipment laughs off anything that is mobile enough to catch it. Given how badly we outclass everything in the game outside of archwing it's perfectly logical to me.

  4. I really, really, REALLY miss the old Warframe.

Remember when we were actually ninjas, reminiscent of ninjutsu, the art of stealth and sabotage?

Now we're a bunch of clowns wearing top hats and cowboy pants.

Remember when you actually felt like a hunter? Like a powerful entity, possessing unmatched skill?

The aesthetics, the grim theme, the enemy personality......I really miss those things.

Ah yes I remember being an unmatched skilled killer quite well, it was yesterday when I played the game.

  5. No because it will still be better than original, people who want the best of the best will still work & grind for best gear, just that same gear that is not primed will be able to keep up better with its prime counterpart.

And please stop derailing this topic, this topic is about making the 3 light machine guns equally ussefull in high tier games.

Hey man you brought the subject up but since you're going to be that way about it. You are dead wrong about the soma it was my go to weapon for high end content for a long time. Do you even play the game? Kind of makes your other opinions more than a little suspect.
  6. Because it renders the original weapons useless while promoting the use of primed gear in high level games thus killing weapon & frame diversity.

Ah but the frames have their niches and a rhino prime isn't going to replace say mirage or trinity just Rhino. I feel the same way about weapons soma prime doesn't replace the quanta just the soma. Build diversity may be a (minor) problem but making the primes not upgrades isn't going to fix that. What you suggest would remove a lot of motivation to obtain them.

  7. DE's way of balancing primes & wraiths is a total disapointment both frames & weapons, primed weapons shouldn't have damage buffs or ammo buffs that will make the original weapons absolete instead they should focus on fire rate, crit chances or crit damage, status effects or even projectile speed, or having extra polarity slots, look at the boltor prime which renders the boltor absolete with its huge damage bonus when it could have suffice with higher crit chances and projectile speed or maybe double polarity slots or look how rhino prime is more better than rhino because of its increased speed when all that was need was an extra polarity slot to give rhino prime a little early edge over normal rhino.

I disagree vehemently with this statement. This is exactly what prime weapons should be, replacements for their normal counterparts. Why is it that you think it shouldn't be this way?

  8. So much this. It was always meant to be like that but ppl abused the hell out of it.

This. I honestly think they gave us the best solution it's limited but it's not a month (or hours and hours of grinding) to get enough rep to buy something.

  9. "the redtext feed from DE described the Galatine as "a sword so big your friends might think you're overcompensating for something, while secretly they know you are not"."

Also I wish it'd be Galatine too, part of me wants to get Scindo for that spinning+damage, but it'd be nothing but a replacement for Galatine and it's glorious huge spins.

Past that uh... I'm not sure, some kind of fast melee could always be cool, but mostly I just want a Galatine prime too I guess.

I think the days for that are numbered as there will soon be seperate axe\hammer and great sword stances.

  10. Here's my reasoning: She tells you to carry out these tasks, right? She says that Anyo, V, Regor, and Ruk are villains, right? But they're not. Like how Corpus and Grineer are just factions of humans, all of those guys are just trying to survive. The Lotus is a secret organization we know nothing about, but Lotus, that lady, is an AI that tells you to murder things. While we are capable of murdering these because we basically destroyed any higher being than us, why does Lotus tell us to do so? She/It is looking for a supreme reign, to leave any other faction powerless.

Would you call that a good guy?

First killing an enemy combatant in a war isn't murder, but using that word certainly makes it sound more evil. The grineer are bad guys the corpus are too to a lesser degree. The grineer are genocidal and the corpus seek control through the power of money and debt as well as further promoting war for the sake of profits. This is hardly "just trying to survive". Who gets hurt between these two? the civilians. Who stops them from hurting the civilians? The Tenno through the strategies of the lotus.

Yeah I'd call that a good guy I really really would.

On top of that DE has stated in completely unambiguous terms the Tenno are the good guys, and that the lotus can be trusted. That's good enough for me for now.

  11. Does it really matter any more, before syndicates we were mass murderers, after syndicates, we are still mass murderers.

The Veil simply accept our mass murdering ways.

Point 1.) killing enemy combatants in a war isn't murder.

Point 2.) killing lots of enemy combatants isn't mass murder. see point 1

Point 3.) this applies to the red veil so long as they are not killing civilians, which is murder, or lots of them, which is mass murder.

  12. Actually, we do have some numbers. The forums represent a little under a seventh of the total playerbase. So, even if every thread on the forums was a complaint thread it still wouldn't be anywhere near a majority.

And honestly, I haven't seen the amount of complaints increasing.

It's all well and good that you think the game is going in the wrong direction, just don't pretend like you speak for the majority or that you're giving an objective analysis.

    This right here

  13. The problem is that in those games when stuff gets readjusted it becomes part of the story or the thing that is change is small.

In Warframe we barely have a story and that is completely getting changed. They just did it with the Infested and now they are doing it with a Warframes.... at this point this basically means that the game doesnt have a story because anything will be randomly changed.

Nothing that's been said about the infested has been changed. That the grineer rediscovered them in the modern era doesn't negate a single bit that we knew about them. What actually happened is that people made a bunch of assumptions based on nothing then found out they were wrong.
