  1. Good job stating that you use exploits, and great story about how you'll use anything to justify it to yourself.

I'm sure up til this point you'd have never dreamed of exploiting the game. But DE sure did step too far this time, yessiree! So ole ReiganCross had to step up and show DE who's boss.

    Give me a break.

    ^QFT^

All these rage topics getting you anywhere?

  2. In general I agree with you, but I'm curious as to where you get the notion that the Sentients are not extra solar aliens? Given what's been said about the Sentients in the devstreams indicating other non-origin systems in the same breath as "the ones that fought the Orokin" Along with the Mag Prime codex definitely using a Solar Rail through the void and entering a system with a blue sun to fight the Sentients. And the visual descriptions of a "great-faceted-eye" and "worm ships" It all sounds very alien to me, with nothing to indicate humaniform or human-related.

I didn't say that, or rather didnt intend to maybe my sentence construction is akward. I was presenting that the Sentients were most likely extra-solar aliens as evidence that the Orokin could also be as it established precedence. To (attempt to) quote futurama "I respect my opennent he's a good man but frankly I agree with everything he just said"

I thought it was odd that you quoted that portion then agreed with it.

  3. Excalibur, because he was mentioned as being balanced.

Ultimately I bought ash and leveled him first cause he can teleport and I have a thing for teleporting in video games. Too bad I can count on one hand the number of games that have done it well.

I learned you shouldn't buy warframes too.

  4. The Orokin wouldn't need to know about the physical remains of the suit if they were the ones that designed it, back during Dark Sector. Mag prime codex is quite specific about the other system with a blue sun where the Sentients were. I'm pretty certain they are full-on aliens. I imagine that conversation went something like this:

    • Orokin 1: "Ok, the Void freaks seems to be doing quite well, The new suits we made seem to be able to channel that caustic mess they have bound to their bodies"
    • Orokin 2: "Yes and our program to produce more of the little darlings by mis-jumping ships seems to be working."
    • Orokin 3: "Look I'm a little worried here, I mean what if they see through us, I mean I know we're been doing this for thousands of years, but these freaks could really give us a run for our money if they turned on us"
    • Orokin 2: "Sure but just like the rest of the sheep we gave then a strict set of rules we stole from the history of Japan, you know 'warrior code' and all that rot"
    • Orokin 3: "I still can't believe you called them 'Tenno' of all things"
    • Orokin 1: "Come on, the sheep have been whispering his name for hundreds of years and we never did find his body or the remains of the suit. How could we have soldiers wearing _those_ type of suits without someone connecting the dots? Anyway I rather liked him, he did give us enough time to get off the planet before it all went to hell"
    • Orokin 3: "Still, it might give them ideas above their station."
Maybe even: "Don't worry, The Lotus operative are doing C&C for the freaks and they are wired _directly_ into our core systems. They're basically living computers, they will keep the freaks on the straight and narrow. I don't even think it's possible for a Lotus Operative to disobey our orders, If we feed her a line about 'maintaining the balance' then it gets hardwired into her. what could go wrong?"
Yeah and like most things you suggest it's plausible but no more so than what I suggested. Someday maybe we'll know.

Sure is frustrating though. Maybe DE will put me, you, and that one other lore hound whose always in every topic but whose name escapes me in a no holds barred cage match to determine the lore. It would make a great dev stream ^_^

  5. Hayden wore a proto-warframe that was created by an organisation that Mezner defected from when he decided to become one with the virus. It's highly unlikely that it required a technocyte infection to operate. If it didn't, then perhaps the naming is based on the only successful pilot of a proto-warframe, not about his infection.

It's logical and definitely a possibility. The entry for the proto-armor states that it was only recently discovered which could imply the Orokin didn't know about it. Of course it's possible that it was found lost again found again, or the Orokin had it all along. I'm still not convinced the Orokin were human as the Sentients almost certainly were not and create a precedence for extra-solar life.

Assuming that the orokin created the Tenno from whole cloth though leaves the big gaping hole about Tenno philosophy. While perhaps not all Tenno adhere to the principles of maintaining balance it is at least promenint enough to be recognized universally as a Tenno principle. As the warframes (and for the sake of this argument) the Tenno would have been created at the same time which Excaliburs lore places on the eve of Orokin eradication at the hands of the Sentients and that they killed the Orokin on the eve of their victory there would have been no time to develop their philosophy. Given the distict eastern flair of the Tenno let us consider the samurai. The samurai code of honor was not formed in the heat of battle but by the survivors of those battles in their leisure and reflection at later times of relative peace and over a long period of time. Though it is far from certain that the balance was the motivating factor for the eradication of the Orokin it's the best thing we have to go on at the moment and actually fits. While I realize applying this kind of logic on a work of fiction is an inherently limited proposition to me all this seems to clearly state that the philosophy of maintaining balance was a pre existing Tenno cultural relic.

As such I'm sticking to my guns for now but thanks for the perspective.

  6. Well they have a way to shove certain hotfixes through without cert. The exact details escape me but this is probably the route they are looking at using to catch us up some. I still see the big updates being delayed as there would be no way those don't have to go through cert. At least until the game stops undergoing such drastic changes as melee 2.0 and UI and all the rest.

From what I understood from that dev stream if they don't touch the executable it doesn't have to go through cert. So that might be it.

  7. Hah, infinite wallrun is still possible, not gonna say how because i don't like watching the world burn, just a little bit.

So is playing as the stalker and I mean full on invading instances and hunting down other players. I've never had so much fun in a video game before. Of course I'm not going to tell you how to do this, but you can trust me I'm some guy with Internet access.

  8. I'm thinking that The tenno aren't infected with any virus at all and that you're all getting confused with dark sector. In warframe it's the void that gives people powers (or death, or insanity, or a combination)

Or it's the combination of technocyte infection with void energies. I find it a monsterously improbable coincidence the Orokin named us Tenno out of the blue given that its confirmed that DS is cannon. The explanation that makes the most sense is that we were like Hayden before the void energies affected us and the Orokins only contribution to the Tenno was shoving them into the void and constructing warframes.

  9. my understanding is orokin are the furture of humanity, tenno are humans from the early times of the void tech that lead to them being turned some what into raw energy life forms, the orokin then ended up in a war with a highly advanced race known as the sentence, that had they power to turn there own tech against them, in the orokins follow hardy hast to save themselves they took these void infected humans and tried to harness there energy through the warframe. the orokin fled to the void etc, tenno won the fight? then when all was said and done the tenno turned against there creatures the ones who had left them in the void to rot all that time, the stalker was there when the tenno took there vengeance. clearly the left over orokins lacted  in knowledge and power leading to the ne humanities we know of in the game, infested a by product of orokin fighting

I'm not even sure what does the Tennos look like.

I used to believe that they have the shape of their warframe, and this one was built around them.

now I don't know what should I believe or not.

Because, the first guy we had long time ago in the cryopod was supposed to be a Tenno but the appearance was supposing he was more a placeholder. And the people we see now in the pods are the same as the ones hostages rescue. But the tennos are supposed to be "twisted"... And the hostages aren't :/

Twisted is a pretty broad term. It's also kind of subjective and doesn't necessitate physical deformity. The Orokin are the ones who applied it and it may just be that they found the organic production void energy abominable. It could be mental too, there are lots of different things that it could be that would leave them looking like normal people.

  10. DE mentioned all the way back in Devstream 27 that the liset was bigger on the inside then it is on the outside so the scaling is a bit unreliable. Suppose we will just have to wait for DE to add in more of the ship features and animations. The access port for all we know could simple be a airlock for the ship so the tenno can safely transition between the inside of the ship and the outisde

Lol ninjad I actually found that and edited my post before I read yours but I agree. As I said though kinda makes docking with anything at all seem pointless.

  11. Looking at the size of the access port for the Tenno and that compared to the rest of the the liset the scale isn't really difficult to determine. When we get the docking all we'll get is an animation. I mean the liset isn't even big enough to stand in.

Don't get me wrong I'm all for new toys but keeping expectations realistic prevents self inflicted dissapointment.

That is actually hard to confirm and deny since we cant see the outside of the ship when we are not doing missions at the moment. Lets try to hope DE is going to give us more toys to play with next month

Edit: said in a dev stream that the inside is bigger than the outside scale is a appearantly meaningless so retracted. Though now I wonder why they made the docking unless they changed their mind about the void energies warping space thing.

  12. Gameplay mechanics support mono-Tenno

    Lore supports poly-Tenno

For me lore wins because if we are to make gameplay lore informative and not cherry pick the nice parts to prove a point then that means that Vor has attempted to catch a Tenno in the exact same way with no variation on his part up to 7 million times. They have partially dismantled up to 7 million lisets and stored them all separately in identical but seperate areas rather than bays in one large area. If I remember correctly the path is linear and doesn't have much in the way of blocked off doors that would probably mean 7 million identical full facilities.

  13. Didnt lose my kubrow didn't get compensation

Others lost their kubrow and got compensation.

No part of any of that sounds unfair in the slightest. Well unless you are a child and simply must have your mods RIGHT NOW!!! This coming from a guy who spent 2 million in credits and who knows how many mods to get his bite and maul mods.

Someone might MIGHT have a point if the mods were intended to be transmute only which they were not and that has even been corrected already.

  14. Consider.  When we come out of cryosleep, we have no memories. By comparison, Lotus is ancient and continuous. She, or whatever it is, has been around since the time of the Orokin.  She is intimately familiar with the history of the warframes and the Tenno. She could explain everything about what we are and where we come from....    But she doesn't. There is something she doesn't want us to know. Whether it's because being a people without a past makes us easier to direct toward her enigmatic purpose, or because she believes it kinder for us to remain ignorant is irrelevant.   DE has assured us that Lotus is not evil, but good and evil are perspectives rather than absolutes.

Ah but you assume that she also has the memories and that may not be the case either.

  15. I haven't bought platinum in ages due to the feelings I have about DE not being worth my support. Not even on -75% offs.

But you still play the game and visit the forums? So DE isn't worth support but their game is still worth wasting your time on? Whatevs man it's your time you want to spend it making a company you don't believe deserves your support more valuable then that's your biz.

  16. I named my male raska Slade (after the name of my guy in fallout 1) then a friend reminded me of the band with the christmas song and it doesnt quite have the same apeal now =( haha.

(Also still a pup, grey with darker grey splotches, cant wait to see how he turns out).

Slade is also Deathstrokes name and he's a pretty cool character and all with the badassery. I dunno I tried.

  17.

Irregardless is a word, it is just not common usage. Regardless is common usage.

    Usage Discussion of IRREGARDLESS

Irregardless originated in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its fairly widespread use in speech called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that “there is no such word.” There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance.

If you are going to be a Grammar Nazi you should make sure you are correct before posting.

    Now back to the subject:

Yes it's also listed by most dictionaries as "nonstandard" and  "incorrect" which you mention in your post. That means it's a much of a word as smoogledygoop is because my wife uses it. Common usage doesn't make something correct nor does appearing in prynt synce ayges gyn by. You might want to make sure you understand what you are saying when trying to show some one up.

beyond that I agree the topic should be gotten back to.
