  1. I can't play any good missions any more....I'll have to farm for days or even weeks to get what I had back? WHY

    1. It's a Beta and the system they had in place before was a trial/place holder, this new system is in its early days and will no doubt be improved.

    2. They did actually plan on doing a hard reset, wiping everything from everyone but people requested that only be an optional thing, however with how much this new mod system changed things there needed to be a soft reset.

    3. It won't take that long, I haven't been playing a whole lot and my Warframes are mostly back to where they were at before.

  2. The constructive criticism is good, the whining is not.

Give good feedback so they know what it is that people are not liking and give them ideas on how you would like it fixed, this is still beta and the new mod system is now in its early trial days, you can't expect them to get it perfect right away.

It is going to take a little or maybe even a lot of trial and error on both our part and the devs to figure out how well this new system is going to work, give it time and give them constructive feedback to help shape the game in to something you will continue to love.

  3. AAH so it doesnt actually use more ammo? so if i shoot once with a lato then it will have a chance to shoot 2 bullets but wont use up 2 ammo? and what is fire rate then?

lol okay first question is already answered thanks to Deathstrik3 sorry for askin again lol

Fire rate is a percentage increase of the rate at which the gun unloads it clip.

Lets say there is a gun with a base fire rate of 10 and you put a 50% fire rate mod on it, it will now have a fire rate of 15. IIRC Fire rate number is how many bullets the gun shoots per second at maximum.

What this means is that it will increase the DPS considerably, but that is all.

TL;DR Higher fire rate means you empty clip in to a target faster meaning higher DPS.

  4. Depends on the weapon. My HEK now will never be as great as it was before because it doesn't have the upgrade tree addons like increased clip size. Now you can find a mod to increase clip size but it only allows up to 30% clip size increase, which is only ONE shot for a HEK more per clip. Before update I'd have 10 shots in a clip, without any mods that increased clip size. Also, reloaded faster.

You could look at it this way, the Hek is so much more powerful now in every other way that it will take less shots to kill anything and will be capable of killing more things with each shot so the clip size works out about the same.

  5. Weapons are actually a lot stronger now potentially than they were before, on average a weapon used to have 5 mod slots plus some small passive bonuses from the skill tree. Now all weapons have 8 mod slots and most mods are far stronger than they used to be for example I upgraded a pistol fire mod 3 times and it is now doing +60% fire damage, best I found pre update 7 was 24.3% on a single mod

  6. Thank you for telling me. That sounds more pleasant than farming the first boss in the game for horus on end. And more promising. The health mod isn't a big issue for me, especially since I'm a loki. I've always survived off of shield. What would you say would be the best planet to farm it on, in general? I guess I'll be trying kiliken for a bit until I gather more answers

I don't know, I've heard conflicting reports about it, honestly. I've heard many people say they got one from the Mercury boss, but only around one each. Who knows where it's supposed to be, eh?

Kiliken is where I have gotten most of my mods from, with the exception of a few randoms from alerts and missions I had to do in order to gain access to new planets.

  7. About the shield mod dropping, is there any say on which missions it's dropped most on? I've heard a lot about it dropping on the boss level for mercury. I've been spamming it for quite a while now and have gotten nothing, though. At least, nothing of value to me. Any personal stories of where it was found from those who have it?

I've seen it drop from enemies on Kiliken - Venus Defense Mission as well as being one of the random rewards from time to time and I have seen it drop on random Neptune missions as well. IIRC I have gotten around 10 of the Shield mod now and around the same with the health mod.

  8. I'm feel wary of investing anymore time into this game at the moment. I wish I didn't feel this way, but the way the mods were handled really discouraged me.

    How so specifically?

I for one actually prefer the new mod system, aside from the pricing of using fusion cores.

  9. The other part of the reason is that DE wanted people to try more combinations instead of Multishot, multishot, multishot, armour pen., damage, elemental on every single gun like most people were doing.

Also most of the new mods when fully upgraded are giving about the same stats as stacking of old mods, unless all you did was stack one or two types.

  10. They have stated earlier that there will be an optional reset for the game, the reset was going to be done for everyone but most people requested that it be optional and since DE is so kind they went along with that.

I can not recall if the optional reset was with the Open Beta or Offical Launch, either way you could send in a ticket and request one if that is what you would like, and they may give it to you.

Edit: Apparently my browser derped and didn't show the updated posts until after I posted, sorry.

  11. While you and everyone else did lose all the bonus stats on items from mods, we had those mods turned in to "Fusion Cores" which can be used to make the new mods more powerful if you have the credits for it.

It should not take all that long for you to get back to where you were, in fact a few people have already been stating on the forums that some of their gear is now stronger than it was before.

A quick way to get a few early mod cards to get you started back up is by doing the Defense mission "Kiliken" on Venus, the drop rates from enemies are decent and every 5 rounds you survive you get the option to accept a reward which is usually a mod.

Edit: Another thing to note is that there was actually going to be a total wipe of everything, but people requested the Devs let them keep their weapons and warframes etc.

  12. Every lobby you're joining being laggy might be because of where you live in the world, if you live in say the US but at this time of day most players are from the UK for example, you're going to have a not so great connection no matter who you join unless you get lucky and find a person from your country.
